    Always love the videos about moving the bees out. Thanks for sharing Bruce and glad you got another 50 on the road. I would love to have 100 or so to send every year, but just don't have the energy. I hope they all go and come wit no issues and that your season is awesome with the pollination hives!

    Great work Bruce & Crew...!! That's a real nice looking deck-over tandem axel trailer. Also, those S130 bobcats with rear 5th wheel are sure fun to drive!!! LOL. It takes a good team and a good plan to make it all run smoothly. Nicely edited video. All the best to the bees!! 🐝🐝🐝✌

    What weight targets do you feed them up to achieve 432?
    Loaded at night, what are the drive times to get it where you want the load , to unload ?

    • @brucesbees
      @brucesbees  Рік тому +1

      I am not sure exactly about the weight. Do you mean per hive? And the drive time from the original spot to the holding yard was about 40 minutes or so I believe. The time to transport to the destination in California was about 2 days. Team drivers.

    • @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper
      @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper Рік тому +1

      Ian, it's rarely an issue for the trucks to be over weight. I remember the only time we have ever had issues with weight, is after the honey crop and back to California or after pollination when hives are explosive.

    • @aCanadianBeekeepersBlog
      @aCanadianBeekeepersBlog Рік тому

      Whets the max number a guy would get on a trailer?

    • @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper
      @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper Рік тому +1

      @@aCanadianBeekeepersBlog so many variables. The max you can get on a truck is 480 4 high front to back 8 frame doubles equipment
      Max on 10 frame doubles is typically 408

    • @brucesbees
      @brucesbees  Рік тому +1

      We thought we were going g to have 456 but ended up 24 short. Actually might have been a good thing as the truck was pretty heavy when loaded. Some of the colonies were quite heavy. I am not really sure what the ideal target weight would be.

    Why do you not need to close the entrance when moving your bees?
    Won't they be confused where their hive is?
    (I mean before 5:35)

    • @brucesbees
      @brucesbees  Рік тому

      Nah there is some drift between hives but it doesn’t really matter.
