This is a great combination. I think with the 85 for details and GR for context you can really direct a story across multiple images. I spent a month in Osaka and I only used a 75 - looking back I have tonnes of great details and portraits of highly isolated things, but I regret not having the clutter too. In the moment I didn't think about it because I could see it all with my eyes, and thought I would remember how it was, and why I picked my subject from that noise. I don't remember how it was at all. All that extra context I took for granted in the moment is now very valuable to me and I don't have it. I like my photos, and I loved them immediately in the moment, but I think the GR works in reverse - I like the photos at first, but love them later. I really wish I had my GR and that insight back then. I can almost guarantee that my top 5 favourite photos from the time would have been all GR photos. It usually works that way in hindsight. Of course any wide angle can work too, I just like small cameras. Nice video. I really like the hands theme. I will try to put more attention into them on my walks. ✌️
Great video. Just by chance this will be my setup tomorrow. We were given a mental health day at work. I was planning on bringing my a7c w/sigma 85mm 1.4 and the Ricoh GR III. This video is inspiring me already! Are you shooting RAW or JPG on the Sony?
Favorite photography channel easily. Keep up the great work.
Thanks a lot! Gives me a lot of motivation to keep working hard
Enjoyable as always.
Thanks mate!
I appreciate how much you post. Always look forward to them. Your video footage inspires me quite a bit as a cinematographer.
Thanks for your comment and the encouraging words 🙏🏻
Some incredible shots in there. Especially love the moody ones.
Thanks mate 😁
