If there's anything I've missed, ask me in the comments, happy to answer :)
Nice touch.... perfect multi-use shelf, and you don't need another permanent one.... I'm loving the idea - if you had the hooks, or even a bar above the side door, you could use it as an outdoor shelf when you have guests.... Thanks for the food for thought! Happy Travels x
Definitely! Just maybe wrap some duct tape or something around the hooks so not to scratch the paint work 👌🏼
Can't wait to try this in my SUV, I think hanging from the grab handles would work in the back! Thanks for the idea!
I can’t wait to see what you do!
Another great video, keep it coming!
Thanks so much Jonny!
Brilliant, my also be a feature in my soon to be new Caddy, thank you!
Great idea
Thank you! It’s one of my absolute favourite hacks for the van now 😅
Looks like it would sway/move too much with the doors open, but would work really well with the doors shut. With a little thought it could also be modified to hang on the side of exterior of the van....you would just need to add some rubber to the edge to stop it scratching the van's paint work....
Thank you for the great info, excited to make one for our van 👍🏼
Can’t wait to see it! It’s makes sunny days with the back doors open even better ☀️ ☺️
Love this. Got the tailgate door though, so need to see if I’ve got other loops to hang from 🤔
There’s got to be some sort of ingenuity that can make it happen. Maybe even if it was hooked onto each strut 🤔
@@vanvistas There’ll be somewhere 😊 We only got it in November, and it’s been too cold to be outside exploring it!
@@missvictoria62 Plenty of time for some clever ingenuity then! I bet your so excited for spring to come around. I’m working on a bigger conversion at the moment and the cold and wet makes everything so much more difficult!
@@vanvistas Yeah, just looking at everyone else vans until spring and planning ideas! Looking forward to following your new van adventure! 😊
@@missvictoria62 That’s the best way to do it. Jot down all the coolest things and ideas you spot and then bring them all together
👍
nice work!
Thank you! It totally transforms the space, especially in the summer when it’s so nice having the back doors open 😌
Love the shelf. How long did you make it?
Literally no time at all. If you’re staining/dying the wood yourself then it may take a day between drying to get to your desired colour. But the rest will barely take 10 minutes 🙌🏼
How did you put the hanging lights up? So cute!
I use magnetic hooks! They’re so, so handy! I did actually buy them on Amazon and I think these are the ones - www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B088LYQ1MY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_t1_BMWG1BTEZRYG7D2J3X4Y
Hi how long did you cut each piece of jute rope?
Sorry the one piece?
It’s about 3 meters
