Hello, Thank you for sharing about your life in Finland. I am from the U.S., although I now live in Spain. In the U.S., we have a simiilar system to that of Finland. Children of 2 or 3 years old must develop their coordination and the muscles in their hands in order to later write, therefore, they play with clay or 'playdough' and small toys to strengthen their fingers and hands. They play with blocks along with 2 other children, for example, in order to learn how to get along with others and how to negotiate. They spend a limited and specific amount of time doing different creative projects like singing, and listening to stories while still learning how to count and how to say their abcs. All of those activities are appropriate for their developmental level: sitting at a desk and working as an 8-year old would (and could) is not developmentally appropriate for those sweet, little 2 and 3 year olds.🌺🌺🌺
Generally, the benefits are about the same in all the Nordic countries. The interesting thing about the school system in Finland is that the students rank very high on PISA despite not studying very hard. The last ranking was 1 Estonia 2 Finland 3 Singapore.
When people talk about walk life balance I am listening and thinking to myself it doesn't sound any different to life elsewhere. I work even less hours in Poland. Start at 06:00 finish at 14:00, and that is with 1 hour of paid breaks too. (30 minutes lunch) + 30 minutes break for time away from computer screen. Plus remote work is accepted here more than elsewhere in Europe. I can spend much more time with my children than staying late in the office or commuting back and forth through traffic.
Thanks for the very detailed information. Guys if you have people thinking on relocating, tag them under this video. I mean send this video to them. They deserve to know.
Just came here to say this. You don't just get to enjoy the money but you need to get a job so you can pay the taxes and contribute to the society. It's definately NOT FREE.
Please don't generalise, I think these are more of your experience, not good for our image. In Nigeria, we nap, learn through play and still have a break for PLAY in Nigeria. Thank you.
People are talking about good.country you are here talking nonsense..instead of you to pay attention and learn so you help yourself and your own chikdren
It’s about the same in Europe. Make no mistake the U.S only gives you 2weeks annually which is insane if you ask me. Reason why I’m looking to leave the U.S we have no work and life balance.
You can apply to jobs that don't require Finnish language and still not get job offer. It all depends on how to you package your CV and project yourself during interview
CV + application letter is the key factor. The start of the application letter is the most important, since if it starts poorly, some of the recruiters won't read it to the end. It's good to start with a short introducing of yourself, like one sentence (Hello, I am "occupation" from "residence".). You should avoid words such as "hard-working", instead prefer words such as "motivated". In praising yourself, stick to the facts and illustrative examples to back them up. Those are important when you tell them an example what you have done (I am good at that since I have done this before). It's good to tell what you expect from the company and why you want to work there. Tell them what you offer to them: "why should they hire you?". You can tell about your passions. You can tell what motivates you to get the job.
@@funmiebor5483 Yes, I'm Finnish. I might alsoadd that many companies appreciate the fact that applications are addressed to them, i.e. the exact same application cannot be sent to them and several other companies at once.

Thanks for your video. I just came across this. Plz what advice do u have for someome coming for phd in Finland and has a 4yes old son. Thanks so much sister, we really appreciate your effort. Please, i want to know if TAAK vocational school is a good school to attend, and is it true you will be paid as a Nursery student while you are schooling? Can you be allowed to remain in the country after your studies? Can you move with your family while going to school?
Pls I love Finland. I am almost done with my finish studies. Pls how can I pass Finnish language. Because I have an interview. Could you give me a clue?
Thank you for this video dear! Can I ask - If you are a student and want to bring your child with, is that possible? Is English school for teenagers expensive in Finland?
It actually depend on your area of specialization and competence. Most jobs are advertized online, especially when the use of Finnish language is not compulsory.
I just need to emphasize that all the services ARE NOT FREE. We Finns pay for them in high taxes. If you come here you need to be ready to learn our language and go to WORK.
It is not just Finns, we also pay high tax in my family. So don't make it look like it's just Finns that pay high tax, it is like that for everybody working in Finland.
@@olahairessenceandlifestyle9461 Yes. Please tell this to others too. Not only that everything is free. As a Finn it makes me angry. Please tell your audience that they are welcome to contribute to the society.

It’s good to know that similar system is being practiced in the US. Thanks for sharing 🤗
That sounds very militaristic, sorry. Here in Finland they just play and sleep and climb in trees, without stress. Like children should...

they rank lower now due to immigrants being unable to adopt the Finnish language and overall slacking in school.
You think they don't study hard?
@@olahairessenceandlifestyle9461 Well they definitely spend less time studying on average compared to many countries with lower rankings.
@@olahairessenceandlifestyle9461 Some do. Plenty of them don't.
