your progress is really inspiring! if you're okay with a little constructive criticism, then i believe your biggest issue when it comes to dancing in rhythm. i would suggest that once you have learned the dance, you sit for a while, listen to the song a few times out loud, close your eyes, place your palms on the ground and tap them to the beats. once you do this a few times, you can try hitting the primary beats with one palm loudly and the secondary beats in the background slowly. and after getting the hang of this, while you hit those beats with your hands, play the moves in your head and try to coordinate these two. you will understand easily when, at what beat or word, a move is supposed to be executed. doing this regularly will help you focus on the song and hit every beat accurately and as time goes by, this will come naturally to you and your rhythm will be perfect. once that is done, your dance angles would be next. since you're still learning and haven't found your personal style yet, i would suggest you study each move and try to match the angles with the idol you're following for that particular dance. it will help in reducing a certain awkwardness in the moves that happen occasionally. then working on isolations, this is something that will only happen with practice. there is no particular formula to improve it, while you practice, you yourself will realize if you are isolating a body part or not and is the energy being put to one part or the entire body. expressions will start coming naturally once you become confident in your own skin and start to understand the music and express it as it is. Hope to see more from you! Fighting!

If you want to improve fluidity: try yoga flows, salsa and ecstatic dancing. Tbh for ecstatic dance just dance to music but really feel the movements and let them flow - they can be anything and there doesn't need to be any technique. It helped me to practice moving my arms and hips fluidly - again, no technique just fluidity. Hope this helps xx
Girllllll u improved no joke. I've been dancing since I could remember and I really think that videoing urself dancing and looking at ur mistakes, trying to correct them is awesome. U are really good at dancing 💃 and u lost weight. I also had my own mistakes but I learnt that having fun and adding feelings, letting them shine and gloom in ur performance is important. When I forget some dance moves, I add random moves lol. They think it's among the choreography or am trying to stand out and make it my own so... Good Luck
Not only you improved your dance. You also loose weight omg😍 The transformation you showed it really inspire me to continue reaching my dream to become a good dancer
honestly when i saw the september 2017 one was in public i thought it was gonna be cringe but i actually thought it turned out really cute, even if you've glown tf up since then! in less than a year you already had much better control, even if it was still not as strong as it is today. and your 2018-2019 improvements blew me away!
i definitely would love to see you do more of chungha's songs. it's one way your body could adjust into another genre since mostly chungha's dances are more diverse and different if you try to compare it with the others. she's one of those idols with very unique dance styles. one of the major key points i learned from her is the movement of the head. it's highly visible if you try and watch dance covers of her song. her head angles are very precise, not too much but enough for that movement that it matches. anyhow- i love the glow up. i definitely stan. 😍💘💘
I love the fact that you share these videos and the improve is very noticeable. For me, I've started learning some dances and sometimes I get angry because I feel like it's not getting right and see that other people feels the same it's really moving. You're amazing, keep going! 💜
Wow you inspired me to start dancing again. Do you have any tips for example chores that are easy? and how often did you dance a week when you started ❤️🤭
When I started I had a lot of free time so I danced almost everyday. Some good beginner dances you could learn are birthday by somi, twit by hwasa, Chica by chungha, boy with luv by BTS, humph by pentagon and gogobebe by mamamoo. Watch the dance practices and make sure they are mirrored, you can search it on UA-cam. It’s also really helpful to slow the videos down when you learn, try using 0.5 or 0.75 x speed. Good luck!!
I danced several years ago and loved it. My sister was my coach for my dance lessons and she always supported me and with her support I actually made it further back then. Now I stopped dancing from earlier but then I always noticed that the dancing was missing. I started to love kpop recently and also learned the dances and with the reason of kpop I started dancing again.!😊 I'm very happy now that I'm dancing again and still have to re-energise some dance moves. 😅 What I wanted to tell or explain to you doesn't matter how one thing comes about, you have to keep going to get to a goal😊😊😊 The dances of Blackpink are really beautiful and cool for learning😊 Not only Blackpink but blackpink and bts are like the groups I like the most😅😊 I know that there are other cool kpop groups too but these 2 groups impressed me a lot☺️😊 Hope you keep dancing and if not, we're supporting you, doesn't matter which choice you're doing✌🏻😊 And: YOU IMPROVED A LOT AND YOUR DANCING IS BEAUTIFUL!!! 💗💝❤️😇
you've improved so much from the start to the end of the video! the only tips i have (i'm a dancer as well) would be to continue practicing and also to stretch (it helps with stiffness/awkwardness and improves your range of motion)
Nice! I do some kpop covers in public and it’s really hard by yourself so props to you! I have a hard time with facial expressions too mouthing the words always helps me.
You’ve improved so much!! I am sooo proud of you!! The way you execute the dance is more detailed than before. As a dancer I highly suggest you to practice how sharp you execute each and every step (even the smallest of detail) Keep it up!!♥️♥️♥️ Edit: Whenever you’re dancing enlargen your every movement, ex: if the dancers of your chosen choreography is litterally spreading their arms to it’s full length do the same. Do the exact same thing the dancers in your chosen choreography is doing and also, when dancing you need to FEEL yourself, feel confident as if you’re dancing to YOUR OWN choreography.❤️❤️
i can definitely see your improvement! something that might improve it even better is if you trained flexibility (especially back and hamstrings). I’m not saying you’re stiff or anything, this recommendation isn’t based on your dancing just a general advice that helped me improve and i feel like is not practiced by many kpop dancers. Another thing that helped me was working my core and muscle because it gave me more strength and stability.
Wow! Your growth is evident. You're hitting strong points in the choreographers that it didn't seem you would have done other wide that is awesome! It also seems like you're becoming more attentive to details as well as your facial expressions! I would just see to continue to be attentive to the details, like hand movements and stance, together with also focus on being hitting certain points with more strength!
I wish I had kept recording my process. I've been doing the same for the past 2 years and compared to when I first filmed myself, there had been a huge ass different.
I have to say that you improve yourself so much this 4 years :D. But i saw that you need more feeling when you're dancing (i'm a ballet and contemporary dancer, sometimes i just have myself vibin' in the kpop), i mean that is not just follow the movements* like someone that's just trying to do it in a good way, if you try to put some emotions in your dance and just vibe in the character that you are doing in the choreaography* you'll see a difference. My point is that, is not just dancedance like a robot, the more you feel that dance and character, the more you will improve yourself and enjoy while you're dancing. If it's something cute do cute stuff not just seeing at one point, if it makes you happy smile with the brighter smile you have, if the dance is sexy feel yourself that way and enjoy. Just enjoy the dance💖. (I have to say sorry if i made a grammar mistake or if you didn't understood what i say, i don't speak english as well lol)
i have been dancing for 2 years since feb 2018, seeing this video, makes me more motivated on dancing, and you really improved so much in 4 years gud job gurl!!!
Ive been dancing to kpop songs for two months now. I dont really film myself, and i kinda do it more for fun/a little but of a workout. Anyways its great seeing you stick to it and improve! It helps motivate me to continue dancing!
I’m also trying to improve on my dancing, I’m actually on my second year of improvement and I think I’m doing pretty well but I’m still not confident enough to do covers and stuff but maybe one day, just one day I’ll do it
I started dancing with Color guard (where I started liking dancing) then I got into Kpop and I was like "This is where I belong" and now I'm deep into Kpop and I used to only learn choruses to songs but now I learn full dances. And I think I am too loose when I dance I can't really pull off sharp moves that much which is something I need to improve on. I also need to work on facial expressions and lipsync.
This is such an amazing journey even though you say that every video have mistakes, but these are part of memories to where you are now. I actually also started dancing, inspired by kpop but I'm too embarrassed to even show to anyone. And plus my parents don't even want to hear about me being a dancer or anything like that 😔! Anyways greaaat content! 🍓💕
I just started taking dancing seriously (monitoring myself and such) and I look so awkward. Videos like this are helping me stay motivated. Thanks girl
It's so brave of you to post videos from the past when you were not as good of a dancer as you are right now! The amount of improvement you made is also making want to try dance again (I gave up because I couldn't keep up 😭). Thanks!!
Wooowww you're progress is so amazing!! I really liked the "oh my god" dance and it shows in your face that you've grown in confidence as well as technique! Honestly watching this has made me want to take dancing seriously as I've always wanted to dance , thanks for the encouragement by posting ur progress xxx
You really improve a lot so much! It really motivates me to still dance and dance again and again. But my style was not really girlish even if i'm a girl like, i really prefer boys choreo than the girls one. Idk why. But still, thank you for this video. It inspired me to continue well~
I want to start dancing again as well. After around the age of 11-12 I stopped performing on stage, mostly and just left all the dance classes I was in. After that I just went out of shape and basically lost any potential I had in dance. Learning dances through videos seem very difficult for me and I take quite some time. Seeing these videos makes me want to dance again and get in shape. Thanks for making this video. I'm subscribing to you, just discovered your channel today.
i just started dancing to kpop groups, but i just cant dance (well i dance like the first few videos) and i actually was doing less kpop dances cuz I CANT DANCE, but this video actually gave me hope! Thank you so much! I purple you!UwU
You improved A LOT! Brava!👏💕 The only thing maybe that now you can improve is the expression and the emotion in your dances and moves. Like maybe if you put a little bit of emotion in you moves it will be like... JUST PERFECT. But yeah we take our time to improve so don't take this like a judgment, it's and advice. I'm working on this too so 💪💪
You have improved an INSANE amount! I’ve also been doing Kpop dances for years! I always get embarrassed about my old videos too but hey girl, we all have to start off somewhere :) Also let’s just talk about that glow up! You lost so much weight! Proud of you girly
Wow you have come a long way. And you are getting that K-pop Idol feel in your movement which is very rare to find in non -trainees and non-East Asian dancers in general. Keep it up! You have talent. If you want feedback: Your movements are generally on point, but it's in-between the moves where you don't really know what to do with your body yet. So that's what you need to learn and practice. Your energy doing lines, doing a wave/bodyroll are epic, keep doing that. Your hand and fingers positioning move beautifully as well. But for example when you walk to another position, you're a bit bouncy and your posture becomes a little 'lazy'. Lazy meaning you don't put enough energy into the movement and didn't practice your lines/posture doing that move. 7.48-7.53: On point, energy, lines, elegance. Superb job! Keep practicing though. It will become even more energetic. 7.57 - 8.04: Too low energy, lazy lines and hand gestures. Not as the movements before. It makes the movements look off and off beat. Don't slack off, keep working all throughout the dance. 8.17 - 8.23: Treat the walking like you treat the dance moves. Every line, every angle, every bounce, every limb, every curve needs to be worked out. What happend here is you basically let go of the dance/performance and went into a mental waiting mode for the next move/ head out of the game. As soon has the next dance moves hits at 8.24 you're on point again because your head is back in the game. As long as you're on that stage or performing/dancing, treat even the little things like that walking transition part, like a part of the dance (which it is). Good job!
I honestly want to learn how to dance and im currently learning (by the help of youtube). Im really scared of dancing and even when it comes to practicing how to dance i still feel anxious and i feel like i really suck at this whole thing. I was about to give up (and this will sound clićhe but its true), i saw this video. You showed me that it was okay to suck at first as long as your giving it all. Thanks for being an inspiration😊, thanks to you i got an inspiration to just keep on going💖
good job!! you've improved so much :) if you want here's some constructive criticism: 1) others have already mentioned flexibility of your hips, i think generally i would say joint flexibility. this helps to give your moves some extra oomf 2) feel the music and groove girl!! feels like you're thinking about the next move or focusing too much on executing the current move cleanly. while that's good, it can take away from some nuances in rhythm or vibes that would make you truly exceptional ;) 3) personally i think that you could play more with energy levels and accent your moves harder. i understand that to get cleaner lines, sometimes your energy can only go down to 80% so you can keep control. however, it would be nice to see an explosive spike of energy to 100% or even 120% for certain moves, like pops or slutdrops!! keep it up!! :)
wow this is really inspiring, i wish i could do this too but i just can never commit to practicing and memorizing choreo, i always do it only once every few months lol
Dance as much as you can, the way I improve most is by filming myself and then watching the video and comparing it to the original. This way you can see any mistakes or things that look wrong and fix them:)
Dance to your favorite songs as much as possible. Try learning choreographies, and making up your own. As long as you're consistent with practice and having fun, you should be able to improve in no time :)

@@mausumichatterjee7208 omggg that is a description of my whole dance life💀💀🤣😭literally same ,whenever I record myself I die from cringe bc of that, I still LOVE dance but I'm weak af performance-wise
@@icantdecideonaname2748 my everything is okayish but the i always start laughing after seeing my facial expressions
same, they always say that i dance good but I always forget about my expression and it suckssss
It's just my face that's the problem because it don't look hot
I love how much you've improved.I'm a 14 yrs old girl and I've been dancing since I was 4!I'm so proud of you
Thank you so much🥺
March 2020 was her glow up point
Her moves and everything changed 🔥
Damn I feel inspired
Keep going girl 🔥🔥we routing for you
Thank you so much❤️
Honestly I taught there's no hope for me but actually I'm little bit better than your 2017 videos as a someone who have never danced before.Thank you, you gave me a hope 😅😅
I genuinely love how you try different dance styles. Love the progress
Is nobody gonna talk about the glow up girl-
she : wow I look so messy
me : dances for 3 years and still slurrs every single move
7:32 I realised that I am good dancer (I am not being rude if you think I am being rude ) cuz I am learning boy with luv right now but girl you improve ALOOOT
I would like to say one thing in boy with luv is to move you body a lil bit move and watch their every step real carefully
Hope this helps xx
thank you so much I will try it:)
This proves :
-practice makes a human Better ( . I am not a perfectionist...)
- Never give up your dream and passion
- ARMYS EVERYWHERE ON YT....
Omg, keep going girl! You will achieve everything with perseverance, I am with you!
You actually improved a lot!!! The only thing I would say now is knowing how to really put energy into the moves but wow the improvement is amazing 🤭
thank you:)
Good Luck
You have definitely given my inspiration and motivation I hope I can get to be as good as you so for both of us let's keep going 🙏👏❤
Not only you improved your dance. You also loose weight omg😍 The transformation you showed it really inspire me to continue reaching my dream to become a good dancer
Thank you, good luck!
honestly when i saw the september 2017 one was in public i thought it was gonna be cringe but i actually thought it turned out really cute, even if you've glown tf up since then! in less than a year you already had much better control, even if it was still not as strong as it is today. and your 2018-2019 improvements blew me away!
thank you so much!
This inspires me in so many levels, thank you
GIRL YOU are so GOOD I’m trying to do K-Pop Dances so YAY you just inspired to do more and keep going
Thank you!
i definitely would love to see you do
more of chungha's songs. it's one way
your body could adjust into another
genre since mostly chungha's dances
are more diverse and different if you
try to compare it with the others.
she's one of those idols with very
unique dance styles. one of the major
key points i learned from her is the
movement of the head. it's highly
visible if you try and watch dance
covers of her song. her head angles are
very precise, not too much but enough
for that movement that it matches.
anyhow- i love the glow up. i definitely
stan. 😍💘💘
thank you:)
I love the fact that you share these videos and the improve is very noticeable. For me, I've started learning some dances and sometimes I get angry because I feel like it's not getting right and see that other people feels the same it's really moving. You're amazing, keep going! 💜
Thank you!!
Good luck!!
EtherealJoonie thank you so much 💕
@@prixma0007 you can learn "kill this love" by "Leia" just search her channel, she explains every step very easily
Me : trying to be like her
Also me : has 0 confidence and is shy around people
I danced several years ago and loved it. My sister was my coach for my dance lessons and she always supported me and with her support I actually made it further back then. Now I stopped dancing from earlier but then I always noticed that the dancing was missing.
I started to love kpop recently and also learned the dances and with the reason of kpop I started dancing again.!😊
I'm very happy now that I'm dancing again and still have to re-energise some dance moves. 😅
What I wanted to tell or explain to you doesn't matter how one thing comes about, you have to keep going to get to a goal😊😊😊
The dances of Blackpink are really beautiful and cool for learning😊
Not only Blackpink but blackpink and bts are like the groups I like the most😅😊
I know that there are other cool kpop groups too but these 2 groups impressed me a lot☺️😊
Hope you keep dancing and if not, we're supporting you, doesn't matter which choice you're doing✌🏻😊
And: YOU IMPROVED A LOT AND YOUR DANCING IS BEAUTIFUL!!! 💗💝❤️😇
Thank you!
@@calicocatherine7 Tanks to you for sharing your journey with us! 😊 😘
you've improved so much from the start to the end of the video! the only tips i have (i'm a dancer as well) would be to continue practicing and also to stretch (it helps with stiffness/awkwardness and improves your range of motion)
thank you, I will work on my flexibility:)
Nice! I do some kpop covers in public and it’s really hard by yourself so props to you! I have a hard time with facial expressions too mouthing the words always helps me.
You’ve improved so much!! I am sooo proud of you!! The way you execute the dance is more detailed than before. As a dancer I highly suggest you to practice how sharp you execute each and every step (even the smallest of detail) Keep it up!!♥️♥️♥️
Edit: Whenever you’re dancing enlargen your every movement, ex: if the dancers of your chosen choreography is litterally spreading their arms to it’s full length do the same. Do the exact same thing the dancers in your chosen choreography is doing and also, when dancing you need to FEEL yourself, feel confident as if you’re dancing to YOUR OWN choreography.❤️❤️
Thank you so much for your advice!!
i can definitely see your improvement! something that might improve it even better is if you trained flexibility (especially back and hamstrings). I’m not saying you’re stiff or anything, this recommendation isn’t based on your dancing just a general advice that helped me improve and i feel like is not practiced by many kpop dancers. Another thing that helped me was working my core and muscle because it gave me more strength and stability.
Yes I know, I really have no flexibility which is something which would help me so I’m working on it.. thank you💓
EtherealJoonie i wish you the best luck!!
the body control!! improved like crazy!!
Yes I will try hard to keep improving:) thank you💓
I wish I had kept recording my process. I've been doing the same for the past 2 years and compared to when I first filmed myself, there had been a huge ass different.
Saw this vid of yours and I’m so encouraged to record my dance also because you also improved as time goes by!😍 Let’s keep on kpopping!😭🙌🏻🙌🏻😍😍😍
(I have to say sorry if i made a grammar mistake or if you didn't understood what i say, i don't speak english as well lol)
yes I’m really going to try and work on that, thank you:)💓
i have been dancing for 2 years since feb 2018, seeing this video, makes me more motivated on dancing, and you really improved so much in 4 years gud job gurl!!!
Thanks for sharing your progress! It's given me some motivation to try to learn some dances again! :)
Glad to know I’ve motivated you, good luck!☺️

It would be great if you upload a new version of boombayah, it is seen that you improved too much. Congratulations and greetings from Mexico
Thanks!!
Ive been dancing to kpop songs for two months now. I dont really film myself, and i kinda do it more for fun/a little but of a workout. Anyways its great seeing you stick to it and improve! It helps motivate me to continue dancing!
Good luck! :)
i’m trying to get better at dancing. i dance everyday to kpop so i can improve. there’s hope for me so THANK GOD lol. you’ve done so well, congrats!
Thank you!
Damnnn the 'oh my god' dance cover looked rlly cool:DD This video is rlly inspiring, you definitely improved a lot!
keep doing what you love and you will get better:) I will support you!💓

It's so brave of you to post videos from the past when you were not as good of a dancer as you are right now! The amount of improvement you made is also making want to try dance again (I gave up because I couldn't keep up 😭). Thanks!!
Thank you, good luck with your dancing!!💓
It's goooodd that you danced to chungha choreos, because her choreos will improve your fluidity, and that works.

I liked your early dance it's so cute your happiness and positive vibes reached to viewers
You really improve a lot so much! It really motivates me to still dance and dance again and again. But my style was not really girlish even if i'm a girl like, i really prefer boys choreo than the girls one. Idk why. But still, thank you for this video. It inspired me to continue well~
Wow you are amazing!! I love your improvements so much 😍
this motivated me sooo much u dont even know !!! ty for sharing ur journey
Thank you!💓
I want to start dancing again as well. I'm subscribing to you, just discovered your channel today.
yes you should dance it’s so fun :) thanks for the subscribe:)
@@calicocatherine7 no problem, and I think I will start dancing!

Good luck I’m sure you will improve!! 💜
You improved A LOT! Brava!👏💕
The only thing maybe that now you can improve is the expression and the emotion in your dances and moves. Like maybe if you put a little bit of emotion in you moves it will be like... JUST PERFECT. But yeah we take our time to improve so don't take this like a judgment, it's and advice. I'm working on this too so 💪💪
Thanks for the tips! it’s really helpful:)💓
I can’t wait until you gain a lot more recognition, you actually deserve it, keep up the good work 🥺❤️
Thank you so much!! I appreciate your kind words🥺💓

You have improved an INSANE amount! I’ve also been doing Kpop dances for years! I always get embarrassed about my old videos too but hey girl, we all have to start off somewhere :)
Also let’s just talk about that glow up! You lost so much weight! Proud of you girly
Aww thank you so much!!
Good job!
thank you so much for your advice! :)
@@calicocatherine7 no problem, I really enjoyed your video 😉
I honestly want to learn how to dance and im currently learning (by the help of youtube). Im really scared of dancing and even when it comes to practicing how to dance i still feel anxious and i feel like i really suck at this whole thing. I was about to give up (and this will sound clićhe but its true), i saw this video. You showed me that it was okay to suck at first as long as your giving it all. Thanks for being an inspiration😊, thanks to you i got an inspiration to just keep on going💖
So glad to have inspired you, good luck!💓
*I'm so proud of you! You did a great job!*
Thank you so much!!💓
I did a boy with luv cover and it took me two months to finish this entire dance....
Huhu I'm in love with this video. I hope I have your hard work.
good job!! you've improved so much :) if you want here's some constructive criticism:
1) others have already mentioned flexibility of your hips, i think generally i would say joint flexibility. this helps to give your moves some extra oomf
2) feel the music and groove girl!! feels like you're thinking about the next move or focusing too much on executing the current move cleanly. while that's good, it can take away from some nuances in rhythm or vibes that would make you truly exceptional ;)
3) personally i think that you could play more with energy levels and accent your moves harder. i understand that to get cleaner lines, sometimes your energy can only go down to 80% so you can keep control. however, it would be nice to see an explosive spike of energy to 100% or even 120% for certain moves, like pops or slutdrops!!
keep it up!! :)
thank you for the advice:)
Wow you improved very well ! Its been 5month since i started learning and its motivate me :) thanks !
Thank you and good luck!💓

Plss tell me how to improve, do you just dance everyday or are there any dance routines
3:58 as if your last and mic drop made me dead. Bruh you improved 4:37
