On what planet is Redman underrated.

Under rated is better than over rated
@@elijahwoods1728 Overrated pretty much sums up all of todays corny a$$ rappers
Redman Is In My Top 5 Period His First Four Album Run... CLASSIC!!!! One Song I Wish He Had In It's Entirety Is "Rockafeller"(R.I.P) From "Dare Iz A Darkside" Album.... "Creep" & "What You Lookin' 4" Are My JOINTS!!! Man Peace To Redman!!! Still At It....
I fully agree with the 1st four albums run
Malpractice had a few songs but IMO, at that that time, it was a oversaturation of the Def Squad sound
@diggy dub Malpractice Is A Good Album... But I Mean In Terms Of Near Classic Or Classic... Yeah Redman's First Four Is Definitely Legendary....
I feel you on that rockafeller (skit) on 'dare iz a darkside.' Too short, should've been longer.
@diggy dub That def squad album wasn't bad. It had a couple of bangers.
Rockafeller was his mans and Red was mourning his physical departure during the recording of the Red Tape (Darkside). Red was never sober, he has stated in mad interviews that he doesn’t like the Red Tape and it’s the least favorite of all albums because he wasn’t in the right mind state. It’s kinda like Jay with In My lifetime vol. 1 except Jay wasn’t high during the process. Red has also said that “any fan that loves the Red Tape is an Insane person especially women.” The Red Tape is an incredible project, the artwork is my one of my fave album covers evuhhh
redman is a legend who should be celebrated more by hip hop fans worldwide
Eminem gave him the biggest props anyone has ever given him in the song "till I collapse" ... that's a legendary.
he put him first! Before Jay Z 😉I'd even put Nas before JayZ but whatever
Reman is definitely one of my favorite rappers
People don't realize Redman really been around for 30 years SOLID.
I grew up listening to Biz in the late 80’s. It warms my heart to hear conversations like this about him. Got to witness him DJ at my HBCU homecoming, Kentucky State University. He’s definitely undervalued as an entertainer. May he rest In peace.
Redman has calmed down a lot... One of the greatest EVER.
Always hear how Biz helped younger artists that were coming up. He was truly a gem to the culture
Biz markie was like the big brother to a lot of hip hop artists❤❤❤
It’s lovely to see your idols age with grace.
This is how it is supposed to be. Every generation regardless of what ever field should it is there should be a mentorship that is authentic. So long live the legacy of the late great Biz Markie 🙏🏿
L
Amen man things would be so much different now. Not saying it will be perfect cause everyone has to follow their own path and not everyone will listen to their mentor but I feel like it would change so much.
Funk Doc! I remember 96' we ran the Muddy Waters tape everywhere. Give this man all his flowers, so incredibly underrated
What sent chills down my spine was when I was a teenager, I met Biz and Big Daddy Kane. When Biz performed, he had one side of the crowd go, "ew", and the other side of the crowd go "yea"..so every time he pointed at that side, we would say our party, then he started beat boxing "it takes two" by Rob Base, and he kept going back and forth, it was so dope. But what Red Man said about KRS is the truth, seeing him and MC Lyte, him and Biz kept the stage hype with just them. Red Man put me in a time machine with that last statement, he reminded me of why I fell in love with hip-hop in the first place
Amen!
Man....just finished watching the Biz Markie Showtime documentary...its CRAZY how many ppl Biz either put on or has some personal connection to. #RIP Biz!
Redman is in ALL of the best rapper’s top 10 list. He’s the definition of “your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper!”
Biz, was a special dude… didn’t get the credit he deserved… But remained relevant… R.I.P King
Biz rocked the mic without using any curse words.
That track was It's Spring Again. Biz was himself on the mic and on the turntables. Best show and best DJ, he always rocked the house. RIP B. I. Z.
Legendary Legendary Redman!!!! Always Himself!!!! Thanks thanks thanks thanks Namaste Haribol Asewe!!!
I had the good fortune to meet Biz a few times and I was always humbled by how warm and giving he was! Dude even helped me open my 1st bank account and he rapped on my 1st single as well as appear in the video. A straight up lovable dude! RIP Biz
amazin
Redman is the GOAT. Best to ever do it. Hands down.
What's crazy is that not only did Biz help Redman but he also discovered Rakim and Big Daddy Kane! 🤯🤯. Y'all got to see that 2023 documentary on Biz Markie named "All up in the Biz"! It was a hell of a documentary. And being a Biz Markie fan myself from back in the day watching that documentary made me respect him even more. And I'm not even from NY... I'm born and raised in Detroit!
I remember walking passed Biz Markie in 183rd st flea market in Miami, I could tell from videos he was a big dude, but in person that brotha was a giant. Shout out Uproxx and RedMan
R.I.P Biz
God bless the lives of Biz and Heavy D...🗽💯🙏🏾
Rip Biz markie, its already been a year since you left us,but your legacy is sooooo beautiful, you were, an angel ,and a beautiful person inside and out, you had such a fun loving spirit, you were here for a short time, but you had such an impact, and inspiration in life and in music, you are truly missed ❤ rip,

Biz came to HOB in New Orleans to dj and while all the other artists were backstage being stars Biz was in the middle of the street stopping cars talking to people. I was walking by and he started talking to me and we kicked it for a minute like we knew each other for years. He was cool as a fan.
THE LEGENDARY UNDERRATED YOUR FAVORITE RAPPER’S FAVORITE RAPPER, REDMAN!!!!!!!!!!!
RIP TO THE LEGENDARY BIZ MARKIE!!!!
Redman was the coolest dude to ever ask for an autograph during his Def Squad days
. Thank you Reggie!
I remember back in the day in the Bronx. My friends and I at the time, saw Biz Markie in the Chinese store. He was all about his chicken wings. We were so shocked. He was chill and signed my dollar bill. I will never forget that. R.I.P Biz Markie 💖 Salute to Redman 👍🏼
Two legends speaking about another legend who just passed away and we will forever remember Biz Markie as a great entertainer and a man who had passion for music. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017 to find me.
I fucking love Red man, it's interesting to know he literally was rapping to eat, that explains how excellent he is.
I can't get enough of Reggie! I can't wait for the whole thing!
R.I.P. TO BIZ MARKIE A ICON

Yeah, when you listen to hip hop stories, you hear about how many rappers were brought-up by the 80's OG's like Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, and Biz Markie.

Top 5 Greatest Mcs Of All Time.
I was knocking dare iz a darkside today. My favorite redman album. Redman my jersey native
I can play that whole classic album from start to finish without wanting to press skip. Not too many albums that I can say that of
@@TheHumanBallsack indeed. I know that shit word for word...I remember the cassette tape was red. Niggaz got jumped for that tape. 94 was no joke
@@rdave7956 I even loved the album artwork, with the eerie red and black sky with Reggie poking his fonky head out of the ground like the old Parliament Funk cover... and the Erick Sermon production was ill. In fact so was Reggie's on Bobyahedtadis and Basically...
@@TheHumanBallsack for real. Redman said he don't perform them songs live because he was on alot of drugs when he did that album. It was a dark time for him. But he know he created a master piece
@@rdave7956 Yes I believe he was mourning the death of his friend Rockafeller
Thank for the build str8🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Still waiting on that Muddy Waters 2. Salute to the legend Redman!!!

RED IS THE BEST WHO EVER TOUCHED THE MICROPHONE 🔥
The Goat is finally On!
First time I saw Redman DJ I was at work. It was the Year Of The Man tour. I worked at the record store Cue's Records Daly City CA. Sitting on the couch watching videos with Method Man and I looked up and Redman Man was scratching and I went nuts. I was so impressed on how clean his scratching was. Never forget that day
It was Montbellier Park! The Bello in Queens I was there. I used to rhyme back then and I was good. They was like, you could get on if you want. After Red went, I was like nah. I'm good. He went off.

REDMAN pozdrowienia z Polski
i remember one time i met redman at this target on rt 22 in jersey when i was working at the pizza hut inside the target back in 2014. i left my little area and walked outside to see if i could rap for him. i DID end up rapping for him, got his number and had a decent convo wit the man that night via text.
BUT he stopped responding after i told him about the artist that i listen to. NONE of them were from Jersey or the east coast which i think made him upset to the point where he just stopped responding.
personally i didnt want any money or anyting. it wouldve been dope to maybe get a shoutout on social media or something but i was just geeked over meeting REDMAN!
part of me thinks i messed up by thinking he would give af about a young artist from the same city he's from idk.
s/o to my mom
Redman second album is my favorite album I like all his albums be for real but the second is my favorite then he produced some songs on that album
Some of those old buildings downtown Newark has some of the biggest lofts!!!!
Talib was talkin about Let Me Turn You On. Biz singing, like Talib said Biz just didn't give a fuck. He knew he wasn't no Luther or Curtis Mayfield. But that didn't stop him from dropping Let Me Turn You On.
Also saw some clips of him mad years later off the show Yo Gaba Gaba where he was teaching kids how to beat box. How dope's that shit!
RIP Biz 🙏🏽

I want Redman and Tash of Tha Liks to do a song together so bad .....
Tash is a fire slept on mc from da west
God, I remember that episode of What's Happening, lol. The tape recorder ReRun had under his coat was big as hell, lol.
My city has a direct ferry link to Europort so we would go to Amsterdam or Rotterdam real regular and while killing time in a HMV before the ferry I stole a copy of 'Whut thee album' from behind the counter before it had gone out as an empty tape box ..So my first intro to Redman apart from that 1 track with EPMD was laid in the cheap recliner seats in the public part of the ferry in the dark tripping on mushrooms listening to the album on walkman with my girl plugged in to the double headphone socket 'Mega bass' button fully up ! lol..Both 100% tuned in to the dopeness but also laughing uncontrollably at the visual imagery Red paints..He totally gripped us with his flow and personality from track 1 and to see him still been so happy and content to be Redman is awesome...
I love Biz and grew up with all his tunes been part of my lifes soundtrack as a young toy graff writer over in the UK growing up along with Hip Hop during that era when it was full of characters who understood by default that been original and having the artistic confidence to stand with their own style and talent where they don't need to sell out because ppl buy in You could hear 3 seconds of Biz ,KRS,B-Real,Ice-T,Kane ect ect ect...And instantly know who it was and couldn't really name anyone credible who sounded the same because NOT biting someones work in HIp Hop was rule No1! ..Today we have a zillion ppl all trying to sound like whatever sold well that month while been totally ignorant to the culture they leech off..
He talking about Montebello park on Springfield Boulevard
