- The reggaetón hits of Colombian megastar singer Maluma, including "Borro Cassette" and "El Perdedor," have surpassed 50 billion streams worldwide. But his success has gone far beyond the world of music. Correspondent Lilia Luciano talked with the 29-year-old Maluma (a.k.a. Juan Luis Londoño Arias) about his skyrocketing career, and the arts foundation he created in Medellin for at-risk youth.

Colombia😊,🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴💃🕺🥰🥰🙏👍😘
Maluma is handsome and successful, but most importantly he is kind, loves animals (like me lol) and is humble. Eres humilde y por eso te quiero mucho Juan Luis! 💜✨🥰
Maybe, but the lyrics are bad quality made for low standards people. 😑
Sunday Morning knocked it out of the park with this piece, very insightful and well done interview!
Im surprised Sunday Morning did a profile on him. I didn't think he was that big but he obviously is.
his music is so catchy!
The way he loves his horses says everything 😍😍😍
Maluma 😍😍😍😍😍💰💰💰🍀
Malumaaaaa ❤❤
❤
♥️♥️♥️
Life is all about fantasy. 20 minutes of Fame is short lived. Enjoy the moment!

His voice is average, he's just pretty 🥱
So many better Latin artists than this guy. Usually if Americans like their music and they’re famous with Americans, their music is terrible
Ladies man. Music may not be the best . But the women love him.
International superstar? He has made some money and obviously is successful in many countries, but not here in the USA. As The Beatles said famously, You haven't made it till you make it big in America.
Every dumb "artist" that pushes low quality lyrics wich teaches promiscuous and a poor disrespectful mindset are being put right in the top. This seems some sort of agenda for dumbing down the people`s reference about what is really good and positive music.
absurd arguments. It's not necessarily true that a singer is unsuccessful if they aren't famous in the United States but are well-known in other parts of the world.
Success and recognition can vary greatly from one region to another, and artists can achieve fame and acclaim in different parts of the world without necessarily being well-known in the United States or vice versa.
US is not the center of the world.
hahahahahahahahahah you do know there is a world outside the United States right? the biggest event (Soccer world cup) Biggest Concerts (Europe) top 10 countries with the best food: Italy, Spain, Mexico, France, Greece, Thailand, Turkey, Portugal.
the best fashion (France) I could go on and on. Also, Maluma has 39 Million monthly listeners on Spotify. And lastly, America is Continent not a country. but I get it.. you probably have not seen the world much.
Trash made it on to Che Sunday morning. Yuck
I don't like regetton in general or Maluma for that matter but the dude is really popular and a millionaire because people like his music.
What kind of name is Maluma? 😂😂😂
😂🤣
Reggaetton warrior?
😂🤣
I’m inspired. I generally don’t listen to reggaeton but it’s cool to see this person who as the legendary Casey Kasem use to say [paraphrased] is “keeping both feet on the ground and keeps reaching for the stars.” ✨
Just translate the lyrics and you´ll see how trashy mindset it pushes. I´l sick and tired of this king of "artist". Our real culture is just being erased, but people seems to be accepting trash to replace it without any sort of hesitancy. 🤔
@@getthekool1758 Hmmm 🧐 I see. Maybe I will. But like I said I don’t really listen to it. It’s the Caribbean beats and rhythms that give it life. From what I can tell he’s famous and is succeeding bc he’s marketable, camera friendly and he wants bc he wants to. He should enjoy it while it’s here bc this kind of thing tends to have a short shelf life.
@@iismyalias: Well-written comment. I couldn't add to this. I like the Calypso rhythms.
Maluma baby!!! 💜🔥
Colombia 🇨🇴
Think you
Yeah
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That was an awesome report of malumas trajectory, maluma baby❤
God Bless MALUNA
🔥🔥🔥👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Love to see his non artists side and the love he had for his mom and hos dedication to giving his family a good life. He was rewarded with a great life.
Maluma Baby 💜💜💜💜💜
El mejor reggaeton maluma🇨🇴🔥🔥
SI. Q ME. ALEGRA Q TENGAS MUCHOS. EXITOS A NIVEL INTERNACIONAL. .AHI. MALUMA❤
His the Spanish pop chart not reggaeton,Daddy Yankee is the Raeggeton king
Well ...then he needs to ...cross over ... because there are many ....Biggest Artists on Earth 🌍...... just my opinion 😊
I love Maluma, but he should give the whole “warrior” thing a rest. You’re an entertainer, you’re not conquering the world.
Why would you love a singer that pushes bad quality lyrics wich teaches promiscuous and a poor disrespectful mindset?
@@getthekool1758 First, it’s “which.” Secondly, “promiscuous” is incorrect, you should have used “promiscuity.” Third, there should be a comma after “poor.”
And lastly, because I’m not an idiot who believes song lyrics cause promiscuity and/or a poor, disrespectful mindset.
@@pibbitybibbity You don't believe that our reality can be shaped by our opinions and thoughts, as if they were not formed, also, by the content we consume, but you do believe that your opinion do so. Don't you think this is a bit contradictory?
It's very kind of you to get into these observations regarding to English language. I may not have it perfect, but I still know to differentiate what is good art from what is not.
@@getthekool1758 Art is subjective. I like his music, you don’t. That doesn’t make your assertion that his music somehow causes certain behaviors true. There’s too much factual evidence that backs this up. I’m sure there are things you like that I wouldn’t. Whatever that may be, you don’t care if I like it or not. Same thing: I don’t care one bit you don’t like Maluma. Now take you and your bad “science” and go away.
@@pibbitybibbity What is artistic about these lyrics?
"If you stay with me
Or with another you go
I don't give a damn
Because I know you will come back
And if you spend time with someone else
Let's be happy, let's be happy
Happy 4
We'll make your room bigger"
-------------------
"I'm in love with four babys
They always give me what I want
Chingan when I tell them
None turns me on but
Two are married, one is single.
The other half psycho
And if I don't call her, she gets desperate"
Never heard of him
Why does music have to promote sexuality. Can’t it be enjoyment without it???
Who?
Just cause you live under a rock doesn't mean the rest do man
literally saying "who?" to the justin bieber of the latin world lmao@@pillowburger1309
