The fact she said the girl didn't train her was gross. It's your first shift she can't only tell you so much cause she's prepping for the first shift. New hires won't be good for a full shift by themselves for a few shifts
I kind of agree. However she did assume she was training someone with experience. The second I saw the UB scoop ice using a rocks glass, I would have kicked her out. That's a big faux pas.
She said she didn't get enough training. Well the bartender was hired to tend the bar. If there isn't enough training its because she hasn't provided that. Make the bartender part of corporate and send her around to train!
zonkercousteau to be fair though, she is at work. Work is about being professional, not about showing off the "toned and amazing figure" youve worked oh so hard for. (Depending upon the environment of course.) I will agree the ceo shouldn't shut people down so harshly and be open to ideas. She is kind of a bitch.
Thats when i stopped watching !!!!!! she a boss that see her workers as her pay check !!!!! pity she was on this program !!!!! i like to watch good bosses react to the concern of the workers !!!! not like her.
Exactly the quote I took from this episode "I designed them I'm NOT changing them" (in her bitchy tone). I don't think she took this experience for what it was meant for. I hope she reads these comments. If she won't take her employees feedback hopefully she'll take public feedback!!!
She talks about how the waitress hasn't had proper training. Meanwhile the waitress had to teach her how to use a corkscrew. And she gunna be like. Oh I've opened my own wine, just not for somebody else. something tells me this woman pays for everyone to do everything for her. I'll bet a nanny even raised her son's their entire childhood
lol such a shortsided commment. She is privledged yes, but not knowing how to use a corkscrew does not mean all that bs you just spouted. She gained helpful insight and listened to her employees.
CEO "Erica" couldn't step out of her bossy role, especially evident when she told - actually commanded - her trainer to serve the wine and she herself would serve the water. No new employee would choose to say that out loud, and think it would fly. Her attitude should have been: "I've never popped a wine cork before. Can you help me?" Now, the husband co-owner, staff, customers, and viewers can see how she operates under basic challenges. At least she carried out the mission even though she did feel horrified to wear the clothes and shoes without heels. After placing her hands into pastry dough, she announced, "... first thing I'm doing is getting a manicure." She didn't take on any housekeeping duties. Erica should clean restaurant toilets once a month until she realizes that every person's job is equally important to the company, cross-train and contribute.
It blows my mind that she owns multiple nightclubs, restaurants & catering halls yet has never worked in the front or back of the house. I’m honestly shocked she’s as successful as she is because many people who’ve never worked in the food/hospitality industry tend to really fail when it comes to opening places of their own because they have no clue on how hard working in that industry can be. As a professional chef I absolutely hate working for people who’ve never worked in the business themselves because they just don’t understand.
The bartender was very patient with her and informative. You cant walk in zero training and expect someone to give you a 30 min training session and become a magical bartender. Her stopping the other bartender is costing her tips. Which is her livelihood. She works off efficiency. She should have bar backed vs pretending to do a profession that requires experience.
Right. It takes about 1 day to learn the layout, 2 weeks to multitask and to build the memory to take in 12 orders at a time. 99% of her job is her looks. Don't make it like you need to know rocketscience to pour a drink.
Bartender here, I came here to say the exact same thing, not even barbacks know how to barback, how does one expect to be trained properly as a bartender on the first shift ever behind a bar. That lady is delusional.
When she said she wish she better training for it. Ya know she was trying to train her the entire time a d she just didn't understand how long it took for training and that it can't be done fully in one hour or so of pre shift
She is the perfect example of someone who just gained power from being good looking and bossy, she doesn't seem to have a very good grasp on the actual businesses.
The conclusions she came to after working each job at each location were intelligent and important to improving her/their business. Business and labor are two different types of work. Although this boss/ this career woman doesn’t have experience with labor she clearly has experience with business management in general as well as specialized experience in her industry. Also, She’s not claiming she’s self made or anything like that at all she is giving so much of the credit to her employees and their dedication to their jobs despite the hardships some of them are going through in their personal lives. Just bc someone looks good and doesn’t have much experience with labor tasks- does not mean she didn’t put in hard work to get where she is. She mentioned that one of her locations alone has been rubbing for 17 years… considering like 95% of all businesses fail after the first five years, the fact her business has lasted more than three times that is evidence she’s doing something right. She dresses very conservative and does not show cleavage a single time and does not even once attempt to use her looks to avoid any work. I think it’s so hard for people to comprehend someone who looks attractive can also be smart af. And while physical labor is one type of work to specialize, business management is another.
I’m not sure what she was thinking. She had absolutely no experience doing anything in the service industry and expected to step right in and not have any issues, and then get upset when her staff doesn’t have time to train her correctly.
As business woman myself I think this is a great idea to work undercover in you r own establishment in that way you can ensure services run smoothly and efficiently,.....good luck to you my dear, love from Trinidad and Tobago.....Elsa Soobrattee.
Folks do need training if they are to learn the job right. Now the trainee does need to be trainable as well. Of course I also suspect some exaggeration for TV as well.
People think the hospitality industry is an easy job.WRONG.It takes stamina and the ability to please people who may not always be pleasant. You are on your feet for hours, constantly carrying things. You have to please the boss, the guest, the chef, the dishwasher, and your co-workers.all with a smile.someone doesn't show for Thier shift you will be expected to fill in.you might work until 2am and then be expected to be back at 5am,impeccably groomed. In high season you will be expected to live at work Slow season,no one wants to employ you.BE KIND TO YOUR SERVER-MOST OF THEM WORK VERY HARD TO PLEASE YOU
Wow! I thought it may be just me, but after reading all these comments I feel I was right all along - this woman is so precious ("first thing I'm gonna do is get my nails done" and "I have never swept up cigarete butts" and "I've cracked more eggs today than the last six years") She also turns up wearing very expensive clothes, but no 'worker' would have the money for those. And she really fancies herself. Gosh what a spoiled brat !! 😖
Thats the rich for ya, she was snobby and an attitude of better than thou. But in the end she shocked me, she did right for her hard working employees, because without employees like them her business wouldn't be as successful. Thumbs up snob.
I was overwhelmed listening to Christine. I just lost my beautiful Mother and a year later my Handsome Dad. This was my first Father’s Day without my Dad. I lost my mother-in-law, my Dad, my Mom, my dear friend, her grandson and her husband and my husband all in the month of January. Today was my husband’s birthday. This was my first Father’s Day without my Dad. I’m praying right now for these lovely women who lost and were separated from their mothers. Life can be hard. How wonderful this precious woman was to give so generously to her employees. I only have one small beef. She was just as disgustingly beautiful with that dumb wig on as she was in real life!!
Thank you!! I've been in the service industry 30 years and this woman would seriously drive me bananas to "train". For her to say the server needs more training when she doesn't even know how to operate a wine key just made me want to choke her!!!
What an arrogant individual. She's going to attempt to retrain individuals when she has absolutely no clue on what she is doing. She cares about her profits and not the extra work she's putting on her staff. These people count on their tips. She's doing everything to ensure low tips with a lot of extra leg work. She couldn't even look her employees in the eyes at the end.
I thought at first boss lady was arrogant and privileged; however she did listen to her hard working employees and reward them for their loyalty. She really did care about the important personal items in their lives. Thanks for sharing. 💓
That's a load of hogwash, she was ignorant from beginning to the end and she got forced to reward these people because her attitude changed dramatically. She was legitimately putting blame on the employees the whole episode.
This is the most spoiled undercover boss I've ever seen. It's even bothered her to listen to the employees complain instead of asking, for instance, why or what don't you like about the uniform? So sad... I say no more...
I thought that she was very generous to her employees and she did pretty good for someone who's never got her hands dirty. I love how she blessed these people, they ALL deserved it.
Shes ok It's difficult to not blow your cover which she almost did And yes it's difficult stepping down when your high up the ladder Easy up harder down Get real all o y'all she was pretty generous Only 50 million $ company after all I've seen billionaire undercover bosses give even less UK viewer
this series actually shows you the sad reality of who runs the world and why it's fucked up like it is...they didn't know how to do the most simple things like sweeping the cigarette buts or wiping that table off but when it comes to running the company they're totally fine and more than capable to be the CEO or whatever position in the top of the management...
yeah but also i know hard workers who just can't hack it as a ceo its a whole different ball game with its own rules it just comes down to what you want to do do you want to work for yourself or for someone else?
@@RayoBeatz i mean its the difference between busting ass for no money or busting ass for ridiculous money. Both sides of the coin suck but the balance of wealth is ridiculously skewed, a ceo may run the company but your employees are the lifeblood of the company yes customers are important but at the end of the day again without your employees you have no customers. If a company has a high turnover rate it's obvious they don't take care of their employees or management are terrible people in general or at their job or both.
I’ve watched most episodes of the American, British, and Canadian versions of the show. This episode is definitely one of the most cringeworthy. Most executives have egos which by itself isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But the good ones know when to put that ego aside and listen to feedback, especially if that feedback was solicited.
To work in a computerized bar u have bartender experience already. Marriot, Hyatt Regency, Doubletree would NEVER hire her. Worse representative of undercover boss.
Yeah she is not very likable. She is not good at taking direction or accepting feedback. Meanwhile she is looking for ways to give direction and feedback on a job she can't do
Not for nothing it's simple sensible clothing. With sensible shoes... . dont see the issue.. so ya body not being shown off.. kinda not the point at work .. comfortable clothing being neat and tidy giving good customer service.. Really all that's supposed to matter.. funny ya all mention that comment but didn't get the whole we don't make the tips doing the "fast menu" upselling and increasing check total increases tips..turn around matters if course.. but servers do not get even minimum wage.. so a extra 15-20 min on a lunch service may very well equal a better tip than the fast menu for two.. so yeh the discount menu is on the back of the labor.. they possibly eat the cost.. Not the company..
Ikr? She needs to take feedback from the front line workers who have to deal with that and actually consider it. They know how it is way more than she does.
I crying when i see this vedio i am proud to my fellow filipino working abroad as a overseas fil. Worker. I appriciate the feellings of ms. Christine story.. About her mom. Be always positive ur life.. GOD BLESS
I just hope that this was a giant wake up call for this “boss” who clearly has no effing clue about her own business. She strikes me as the type who will set up an employee suggestion box, only to completely ignore what’s in it. “I dEsIgNeD tHeSe UnIfOrMs. ThEy ArEn’T cHaNgInG.”
I was thinking the exact same thing I was thinking like has she ever worked a day in her freaking life or was she just born into the money and then she said that and then like yep she was born into money that probably explains your attitude towards other people that work
I've never ever walked into a kitchen or be allowed to walk into a kitchen without a hat or hairnet. I also have never ever touched food without gloves on. Putting bare hands into a bowl of chocolate is a big NO.
The bar girl was great she has a bar to tend...she can't be holding your hand the whole time. She probably pulls In tons of money too she's ridiculously gorgeous
People miss the whole point of training.... U teach until they get it no matter how easy or difficult.... u don’t let go of their hand because you think they should of got it by now
@@lexipitts3028 found the person who has never been in this situation. You train on bar with trial by fire. You let go of their hand the instant your money is getting affected. They train by getting ice, restocking, and learning where things are in the bar by doing so. Next time work in the industry and actually train someone before you talk.
Oh my goodness, when that girl started crying and talking about her mom I nearly lost it. My mom passed in November a few years ago and she was planning on going back to visit her home country the next year.
This is the type of girl who would "literally" die if you put her in a province or a farm in 2-3 days. Rather than a CEO, she looks more like a princess (not a good thing). Who in the world doesn't know how to sweep cigarette butts? She said she wanted to know if there are any techniques to it? like wtf? even kids as young as 4 years old can do it. It's like asking someone how to use spoon. It's all freaking common sense. A CEO without common sense is a disaster.
She's and entitled ass smdh. I have worked in this industry for 20 years she passes me off worse than any rookie could have. Glad she's not my boss I would have told her ass off. 🤣
This is the FIRST show I have seen where the boss didn't learn or listen! Obnoxious person! Why do this unless you want to learn? Someone obviously talked to her before the end of the program! She changed her personality in the end!
I'm so emotionally touched with Erica's reward to Almaz & the lady pastry chef Christine, when Erica spoke to them, especially to Christine's gift from the CEO that was very tear-jerking & ecstatic, the emotions are overwhelming that I myself also cried. It's very humane when staffs & crews of an establishments are well-loved by their employers. Salute to all bosses with a big heart ❤️❤️❤️ Good vibes, good Employers, well-paid workers.. Cheers 🥂
um the girl who's mother died deserved not only the trip to bury her mother's ashes, but also the month paid leave so she can heal. The girl that was complaining about the uniforms didn't really deserve all that she was given.
There's nothing worse than being a hard worker, picking up the slack of others and not being appreciated for it so I love watching this show and seeing the deserved being appreciated and gaining from their hard work!! I will never understand why ppl don't care about their jobs! And if you don't like your job then you should find another job that you will enjoy!
She is an extremely pompous person for someone who is self made. Every other undercover boss that I have seen was there to learn. She knew it all when she got there and wanted to hear nothing. The only thing that got changed was a broken faucet.
Typical CEO most likely with a "Liberal arts" degree if that. She couldn't figure out even the most simple of jobs and didn't want to get her hands dirty. Well now she can go back to her little perfect life, get her manicure and drive around in her BMW or whatever while not lifting a finger.
Well, the reveal showed that she has a heart. Bosses oftentimes need to make tough decisions, and just because some employees say something, it does not make it correct. She actually listening to the bartender's suggestion, the pastry chef's suggestion, and recognized a couple employees with advancement. She's not my cup of tea as a person, but she's not heartless.
Watching this was an amazing adventure. It is always a treat when business owners invest in their employees. This company is going to go further because of their generosity to their staff. May they always continue.
Her skills at anything suck! If she weren’t married to the owner she wouldn’t have a position there! She has to be the worst boss I’ve ever seen on both the USA show and Canada!
I know we have to work in order to survive, it is just so sad that most can't even enjoy what they do, they just get good at it and it becomes normal . I really hope just the fact of helping someone else brings happiness to all of their lives, even the ones no one saw, like the workers in the back.
She's an Uber bitch. As a person in the restaurant business for 13 yrs, the server was GREAT! She knows what she's doing, and just because the boss didn't grasp it doesn't mean the server was wrong!
"I've never worn flats" as she laughs at the uniform...... "I'm stuck in traffic, gonna be late for work" ..... "The trays are really heavy"...... Welcome to real life of the F&B industry. Imagine waiting tables & then going into banquets totalling an 18 hr day - DAILY. All to put money into your pocket for your luxurious lifestyle and us earning a paycheck barely able to pay "poverty level bills". This woman has no clue what it's like. This episode is angering me more and more as it goes along!!! 32 years in this industry here and NOT as a manager, as one of the people on the ground floor actually doing the work and developing the clientele through contact, work & interaction.
She was so rude to Emily when she told her to warn her customer that the bowl is hot...why discourage that common courtesy Nadia would be a nightmare employee for anyone
Man this lady actually did something good for these people something meaningful like she genuinely gave them a bit of happiness to keep for a lifetime.. good job to her bless her a million times over 👏
She's Lucky that she has such awesome workers. This program makes me miss my mom so much. 😭😭😭. I thought that Erica/ Nadia did okay, at least she knows how hard these people work for her and she appreciates it.
one thing i noticed the first time she served a drink in the bar , she ran the glass through the ice to pick it up.....NO NO NO.....totally unsafe as the glass may shatter and she would be left with potentially broken glass shards in the ice which would have to be completely emptied and cleaned out , she could cut herself etc etc . this would all take time out of serving and could lose custom. simple error , but with big safety consequences!
Yes, she is a complete Fucking idiot, she's the female version of the piece of SHIT president "duche bag" Donald " dump" Trump! God I really hope he doesn't get re-elected, and I hope her tool husband divorces her too!
I find it hard to see the absolute luxury she and her husband live in and how little she gave away to her superb workers all tax deductible no doubt. She may believe she is a self made woman but it was so clear that she did not have a clue I think her Husband maybe a self made man and she rode along on his coattails .
She was critical of the bar girl for not giving her training , but ....she is expecting too much. The Bar Manager shouldve( or perhaps wouldve) had her in earlier on her shift and to establish that the existing bar girl was capable of training her.
No its more like a normal person off the street with ZERO EXPERIENCE would never have gotten that shift if she wasn't married to the owner. She couldnt handle the pace and nuances of being a bartender. They aren't there to hold your hand. They're there to make money.
A person with NO BAR EXPERIENCE would never have been hired for an establishment like that to begin with. Just another right rich blaming everybody else because they are not prepared and have NO CLUE about the actual work, skill, training and experience that is required to perform at that level. I mean you are comparing a McDonald's level restaurant to a 5 star establishment ..... The experience and skills of the staff are opposite ends of the spectrum. She went in with not even a McDonald's level skill set!!!
ok, so i know that i'm years late but...i'm 17 minutes in wishing that the husband was the one undercover. as someone that's worked in hospitality and restaurants the use of a three course meal NEVER speeds up the guests. many mull and babysit a goddamn salad for 25 minutes talking to each other before asking for the mains, and of course they have to be cooked fresh so they are hot which takes time and makes the server take additional steps, then the dessert is always a 'what do you want? no...what do you want' kind of thing. so much time wasted this way. the server is right, sway them to get single entrees that are jacked up in price (more $$ for the restaurant, hellooooo!!!), can be served once, move 'em out in 25-30 minutes and get that tip! also, the cork thing is a dated method to check wine because some are coated so they are easier to put back in the bottle, altering the smell and the cork itself smells like wood which changes the smell as well. the correct thing is to serve a small pour to test the palate and then serve a full pour upon approval.
Amen. The place I served at to learn fine dining and the proper technique to open and pour wine table side, we were only gave them the cork to engage them and their senses. Only once did I have someone say the cork smelled sour and I needed to replace the bottle. It's not nearly as frou frou as people think who don't serve. It's literally just a bunch of being trying to make themselves feel like their an important person, and take themselves up one rung on the ladder of self esteem, as we all do. I guess I've just never bought into the Class system. I've lived with the wealthiest and the poorest of people. We are all just people trying to get over insecurities and trying to love ourselves. We are all the same at the end of the day no matter our color or bank account or gender.
"many mull and babysit a goddamn salad for 25 minutes talking to each other " you sound like the workers on this show that hate their customers and talk about them behind their backs. and all you think about is profit, not customers. "sway them to get single entrees that are jacked up in price (more $$ for the restaurant, hellooooo!!!)" ugh. actually, i wouldn't want to pay for an expensive meal when i'm in too much of a rush to enjoy it. people usually only have 30min-1hr for their lunch break; subtract the time to drive, park, order, drive back, it leaves even less time to eat. understand your guests better. honestly, i wouldn't want you as my server
@@lang-ed3bk If the customer is there for a quick lunch--which most people doing business are, otherwise they'll be arriving early or late for lunch--making a dish pile in the back for indecisive people is stupid. And I say that from a customer perspective. Because if I'm going to get stuck behind a bunch of people hmming and hawing *my* order is going to be delayed. And I can absolutely foresee where a server has been trained to get more money into the kitty--tip not withstanding. The franchisees run on thinner margins and the franchise owners and (at least in the US) can confiscate your tips if the daily take isn't high enough which *will* get blamed on the servers whether or not a complaint was received.
@@OGimouse1 "If the customer is there for a quick lunch," they will not be "hmming and hawing." they don't have the time to take their time. that's the whole point of the lunch specials and my point is about lunch time, and not having the time for an expensive meal. you're completely missing my point with your "I can absolutely foresee where a server has been trained to get more money into the kitty--tip not withstanding." these waitresses can be as greedy as they want, but that doesn't mean i'll be willing to pay for an expensive meal when i know i don't have the time to enjoy it.
This is the type of owners I truly can't stand stuck up, not open minded and snobby and boujie. You be never worked in the industry so you don't understand half the stuff that goes on. I will never support this business/businesses
I came across this and I thought she is an awesome Boss. She accommodated all her staff to show her appreciation. She did very well by them. I read some of the comments and they're so many HATERS, because she is attractive and wealthy. Who cares if she doesn't want to change her masterpiece of a uniform, she is the boss, so that she can call the shots on her uniform. She may later on if needed. I like how she revealed her quirks, she was more transparent in expressing her negative opinions and that is why all the attacks in comment section. I'm my own boss and I can relate. You're a sweetheart ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ keep being kind!!!!!
I agree, don't understand all the hate. she was generous, especially with the last one. she promoted her, gave her a raise and paid trip to Ethiopia to see her mom with a months wages included.
Attractive where? Her face is disturbingly distracting 🥴 I feel like you’re still one of those black people that worship whiteness and a lifetime employee
A boss without field experience... "I never served, I never been in a kitchen, never been on the front line..." so basically a ceo... leading... leading blindly.... "I designed these uniforms, I'm not changing them"... she has bad ego.... luckily people would eat if the food is great disregarding how bad the management is.
These vidios bring joyful tears to my heart of the people and the generosity of those that operate these companies and their heart felt caring for their employees all good things come to those who wait and are deserving
why do I always weep like a child when the humble and unknowing reap... I LOVE THAT !!! So many unsung heroes so little time it takes to acknowledge them ...we must take that time at whatever price. The investment is in the human spirit which is a gift that keeps on giving ....
This "boss" is kind of out of touch. Like when she said " I design the uniforms I'm not changing them" don't you think if your employees tell you the uniforms are uncomfortable that you should think about that?
No. Not when you put yourself before others. She's doing exactly what she thinks is the most important....ie., stroking her own ego. And being a bitch in the process.
She didn’t say they were uncomfortable, the waitress said she wished they were more form fitting because she works out. Which IMO just isn’t that big of a deal nor is work the time or place for that
Erica somehow comes across empathetic but also on the verge of being condensending...especially when thinking she could just step in and do the different jobs without any background knowledge of each position..it is one thing to see how efficient someone who is good at their job and make it appear easy and another thing is to do it..especially when you are not getting clear instruction or the appropriate support..😊😊
Normally a new employee in a restaurant/nightclub isn't trained on a busy day/night. At least that's the protocol in the restaurant/nightclub that I've been managing for 14 years.
She wasn't yelled at, and they are busy and later I'm sure slammed. The boss has humanity. For someone to die of breast cancer is a rotten shame. That journey is long and I'm sure the three siblings will never forget her generosity.
the boss was crazy!!! way way way to critical in all of the jobs she pretended to TRY and do...do it for a week and you would still not even come close to what you needed to know to be behind a bar by yourself. did you see her run that glass though the ice!?!?!?!??!?!?
It's a temptation when it's really busy and works just great until you break a glass in it. Nothing like having to empty the ice bin, remove any broken glass that might be there and then refill it in a crowded bar.
Seriously how could you run a business that you have no idea what it takes physically & mentally to do. The simple stuff of sweeping is beyond this owner. I can't count the times she said she had never done something before. But, she was a good listener and appreciated her workers.
We need more of these kind of videos and to get more bosses to experience what is like to be working in their bussiness... I love the way the boss on this video decided to send their employees to get trainned, and reward them.
Focus focus focus... Lol I really liked that guy. Hope to meet him 1 day... He seem like warm smiles and great laughs. Peachy Mangoness to everyone... Have a great day
She wanted to see his technique 😁 you take the stick thingy, put the bristle end on the ground and use it to move the round things on the ground into to bit that looks like a scoop.
This boss needs a life lesson on what a full day for hard physical labor is. She is such a prima Donna, yet nice. Pay all your staff better and hire people to help do set ups and cleaning. A stressed employee isn’t a happy employee
That bartender was GREAT with her, she was very patient especially when working with someone that knows nothing.
Yeah and with all those people there

It blows my mind that she owns multiple nightclubs, restaurants & catering halls yet has never worked in the front or back of the house. I’m honestly shocked she’s as successful as she is because many people who’ve never worked in the food/hospitality industry tend to really fail when it comes to opening places of their own because they have no clue on how hard working in that industry can be. As a professional chef I absolutely hate working for people who’ve never worked in the business themselves because they just don’t understand.

yeah that's probably because the husband does all of the real work.
@@kingruk86 So criticism counts as being jealous? Sure bud.
That lady is delusional.
exacly right , is not her job to train a new hired .is not right that these rich assholes own a business without knowing anything about it !!!
When she said she wish she better training for it. Ya know she was trying to train her the entire time a d she just didn't understand how long it took for training and that it can't be done fully in one hour or so of pre shift
A tues wld be better to train
She is the perfect example of someone who just gained power from being good looking and bossy, she doesn't seem to have a very good grasp on the actual businesses.
Not good looking, just narcissistic
Or people skills
Yes totally clueless. Strange set up as who sets the standards and manages when owners are totally clueless in the space.

I know right, very frustrating listening to her complaining and taking any corrections as a personal attack. There supposed to correct you 🤦🏻♂️
Folks do need training if they are to learn the job right.
In high season you will be expected to live at work Slow season,no one wants to employ you.BE KIND TO YOUR SERVER-MOST OF THEM WORK VERY HARD TO PLEASE YOU
Wow! I thought it may be just me, but after reading all these comments I feel I was right all along - this woman is so precious ("first thing I'm gonna do is get my nails done" and "I have never swept up cigarete butts" and "I've cracked more eggs today than the last six years")
She also turns up wearing very expensive clothes, but no 'worker' would have the money for those.
She's a narcissist.
They're everywhere & they SUCK.

This boss discussed me! She could have at least raised there pay! But obviously that’s way to much for her pocket!

So sad... I say no more...

this series actually shows you the sad reality of who runs the world and why it's fucked up like it is...they didn't know how to do the most simple things like sweeping the cigarette buts or wiping that table off but when it comes to running the company they're totally fine and more than capable to be the CEO or whatever position in the top of the management...
yeah but also i know hard workers who just can't hack it as a ceo its a whole different ball game with its own rules it just comes down to what you want to do do you want to work for yourself or for someone else?

I’ve watched most episodes of the American, British, and Canadian versions of the show. This episode is definitely one of the most cringeworthy. Most executives have egos which by itself isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But the good ones know when to put that ego aside and listen to feedback, especially if that feedback was solicited.
I think she is a snob
To work in a computerized bar u have bartender experience already. Marriot, Hyatt Regency, Doubletree would NEVER hire her. Worse representative of undercover boss.

She did redeem herself in the end but was awfully entitled as an employee, and I suspect, as a person.
I'm so emotionally touched with Erica's reward to Almaz & the lady pastry chef Christine, when Erica spoke to them, especially to Christine's gift from the CEO that was very tear-jerking & ecstatic, the emotions are overwhelming that I myself also cried. Took the words right outta my mouth! Couldn’t even wait till the end to see the comments becuz I was so disgusted!
Well, the reveal showed that she has a heart. Bosses oftentimes need to make tough decisions, and just because some employees say something, it does not make it correct. one thing i noticed the first time she served a drink in the bar , she ran the glass through the ice to pick it up.....NO NO NO.....totally unsafe as the glass may shatter and she would be left with potentially broken glass shards in the ice which would have to be completely emptied and cleaned out , she could cut herself etc etc . this would all take time out of serving and could lose custom. simple error , but with big safety consequences!

No its more like a normal person off the street with ZERO EXPERIENCE would never have gotten that shift if she wasn't married to the owner. She couldnt handle the pace and nuances of being a bartender. They aren't there to hold your hand. They're there to make money.
A person with NO BAR EXPERIENCE would never have been hired for an establishment like that to begin with. ok, so i know that i'm years late but...i'm 17 minutes in wishing that the husband was the one undercover. as someone that's worked in hospitality and restaurants the use of a three course meal NEVER speeds up the guests. many mull and babysit a goddamn salad for 25 minutes talking to each other before asking for the mains, and of course they have to be cooked fresh so they are hot which takes time and makes the server take additional steps, then the dessert is always a 'what do you want? no...what do you want' kind of thing. so much time wasted this way. the server is right, sway them to get single entrees that are jacked up in price (more $$ for the restaurant, hellooooo!!!), can be served once, move 'em out in 25-30 minutes and get that tip! also, the cork thing is a dated method to check wine because some are coated so they are easier to put back in the bottle, altering the smell and the cork itself smells like wood which changes the smell as well. the correct thing is to serve a small pour to test the palate and then serve a full pour upon approval.
And I can absolutely foresee where a server has been trained to get more money into the kitty--tip not withstanding. That CEO has got a great plastic surgeon!
lucyluvs clutch ikr i need that nose lol
After completing the video actually discovered that she’s a very warm and loving woman. Well done, good luck and God bless.
Almaz made me cry... she deserved the promotion

Food servers must/needs an "air cleaner ventilation room ". No one goes inside a food processing with an outside clothes.
YOU GOT THAT RIGHT.
What a BEAUTIFUL SOUL the owner has. Love her. Beautiful company. God bless❤️🙏
She touched the food at 20:25.
A big no-no!
One of my favorite shows. A boss sees first hand EXACTLY what goes on behind closed doors.
Which IMO just isn’t that big of a deal nor is work the time or place for that
Why is she even there
Erica somehow comes across empathetic but also on the verge of being condensending...especially when thinking she could just step in and do the different jobs without any background knowledge of each position..it is one thing to see how efficient someone who is good at their job and make it appear easy and another thing is to do it..especially when you are not getting clear instruction or the appropriate support..😊😊
I was a bartender at an extremely busy nightclub and I sure wouldn't want to completely train someone on 1 of the busiest nights in the bar!
No shit Sherlock
My thoughts exactly when I saw her put that glass into the ice bin. A BIG NO-NO.
It's a temptation when it's really busy and works just great until you break a glass in it. Nothing like having to empty the ice bin, remove any broken glass that might be there and then refill it in a crowded bar.
I was horribly disappointed by this episode. She was cheap at the end and arrogant. The only people that benefit from this experience was the network.
Seriously how could you run a business that you have no idea what it takes physically & mentally to do. The simple stuff of sweeping is beyond this owner. I can't count the times she said she had never done something before. But, she was a good listener and appreciated her workers.
what a fake, annoying ,frustrated, stuck up woman this boss is.....she moves as if she is a scarecrow....and soooo cheap
wtf ru talkin about
@@juliecooper3989you can give a generous gift and still be very cheap.
Boss lady, your kindness will be forever remembered and so will the way I cried while watching.
NEVER ask someone to do a job you are not prepared to do yourself... remember that missus when ur laying outside tables
Richard Branson said it best, keep your staff happy, and your customers will be happy. Something they should learn
I've never served... I've never been in the kitchen... A good CEO started at the bottom at one point or another.
Owns a bar/restaraunt/club...
she isn't the ceo tho her husband is she is just the wife that got everything handed to her
We need more of these kind of videos and to get more bosses to experience what is like to be working in their bussiness...
I love the way the boss on this video decided to send their employees to get trainned, and reward them.
“I thought he had some technique to it”
HE LITERALLY JUST SHOWED YOU
Oh, that’s the kind of people you wanna work for who’s gonna take care of you Amen.
In the end she looked like someone forced her to give those things to those ppl
💯
Woooww! Heart whelming... God bless those kind-hearted employer's around the world💕
"Do you know how to sweep? "
"Not really..."
.....😑
THEN TODAY YOU LEARN!!!!!!!!
Focus focus focus... Lol I really liked that guy. Hope to meet him 1 day... He seem like warm smiles and great laughs. Peachy Mangoness to everyone... Have a great day
Her in a nutshell. Maids raised her kids too that's why they turned out so well.
Whats a broom
She wanted to see his technique 😁 you take the stick thingy, put the bristle end on the ground and use it to move the round things on the ground into to bit that looks like a scoop.
This boss needs a life lesson on what a full day for hard physical labor is. She is such a prima Donna, yet nice. Pay all your staff better and hire people to help do set ups and cleaning. A stressed employee isn’t a happy employee
