Thanks, Launchpad B. I've been using Clipchamp a lot lately and your videos always come up when I need assistance. I figured this was the workaround I needed, but I found that you can capture the part of the clip in Clipchamp if you fullscreen, use snipping tool (if you have it), then import it from the screenshots folder. Funny enough, after doing that method, my freeze frame was better quality than what I was zooming in on. Hahaha. Just a funny little sidenote. Anyways, I hope you have a great day, bud!
Thank you for both of these suggestions. I suggest, rather than using the screen capture, use the rectangle mode of the Snip & Sketch, and then you don't need to edit the image.
I tried but am new to clipchamp and I don't see an easy way to isolate a single frame. No matter how much I zoom in on the timeline I don't seem to be able to accurately view/snip a frame.
Not sure if it was available at the time of upload or your comment, but these days you can just press: [Windows Key] + [Shift] + [S] And it'll let you drag a box over your screen and save it to the clipboard. It'll produce an image of much higher quality then the print-screen key. Should note that there is a slight delay when you use it, but it's quick and easy to anywhere on your PC.
After inserting a screenshot to simulate the freeze-frame, I noticed the minimum amount of time your screenshot stays up is 5 seconds. Anyone know how to shrink it's screen time down? I only need it up for about 2 seconds.
The fact that a simple, most common sense feature like freeze frame is not available and need a workaround just goes to show how useless Clipchamp tool is. And the fact that this video was made THREE YEARS AGO and they still haven't make this feature available shows how pathetic their product and development team really is.
Hey Mikan, if you are a PC user you can hit "ctrl," and "prt sc" at the same time. This will copy your screen. Then you can hit "ctrl," and "v" to paste the screen shot into your program of choice. I use power point, but it works in other microsoft programs including paint.
Hey Truth Seeker, there are many things I wish clipchamp would do. They do have a suggestion box in their site. this would be an easy one for them IMO.
im new to this, i can get the video clips i add to stay in one place. when i have 4-5videos in. 10 to 15 sec clips. and i am going to add the nr6, the nr6 is being a bully and moving all of my work around. i have text also to every clip. it turns to a mess>< the text from thr 1st pic seems like its for the 3pic and etc. i started yesterday because it was so easy and simple to do.. now i just need everyting to stay in place hahah:D
Hey Rexter01, this has been a huge frustration point for me as well. I like to work neat and stack my tracks closely together. When I reload my project Clipchamp spreads them out all over the place leaving me to scroll up and down to see my work. The problem with that is that its hard to align my footage when I cannot see the entire timeline. This leaves me frustrated and racing to complete a project in one sitting. I will pass this along to the developers because i agree.
Plan B for Launchpad B? Going into Full Screen and Right Click for Save As png or Copy & then Paste to timeline seem to work well for me. I'm new to Clipchamp, so perhaps they added this function recently. For more detail here's my video instructions ua-cam.com/video/bqYCZv4Stt8/v-deo.htmlsi=Eo2BWCgpDG8AlrHY
what useless F********* software...way to go windows -_- i just spend nearly two hours trying to figure it out. GOSH! Thank you so much, for helping with this solution however, i think ill just use something else.
Needed this! Would have taken me ages to figure it out otherwise. Thanks for the great tips!
@launchpadb by the way, that opacity doesn't seem to be available any more?
Awesome vid, Mark!
Thanks Clipchamp!
why should i use windows movie and PP in 2022 ? one program couldn't come over this ?
Clipchamp, oh Clipchamp...how useless can you be?
Please make this feature
Maybe just add the feature you GOONS.

smartest man ever met in learning video tutorioal
Sir thank you. 🙏 This was the easiest video to follow and fast. 😊
there is no way that THIS is the best solution!?
VLC. Take a Snapshot with the photo button, but then yeah, you have to go through the whole rest of the process.
@@diistores man they need to put a feature in that cuts out this bullshittery 🤣

this was super helpful - thank you!!
thank you i couldnt do this in the stock editor in windows found clipchamp and you saved my how to get vibe checked meme lol
So glad this was helpful.
Is the transform tool a premium option?
For the freeze frame... you can cut the part of the video you want to freeze and then duplicate it. Then you do not have to create a PNG, etc.
Thanks Stephen, Do you mean repeating a frame?

I tried this tactic before finding this video but my issue is my screenshots ending up with poor resolution

Noticed that, too. My snapshot out of VLC Media Player turned out to be a little grainy compared to the rest of the video.

Yes you can PegBlox
How can i get a screen capture?

how is this not a feature? time to find a different editor
What a shame, a video editing app for mobile phones has this feature and this for W11 doesn't?
Hey Truth Seeker, there are many things I wish clipchamp would do. They do have a suggestion box in their site. this would be an easy one for them IMO.
or you can just use the clipping tool that windows provides.
Sadly, over more than years, this features is not ready yet.
Agreed Aninkovsky. It shouldnt be hard for the developers to do either.
Very creative! Thank you 😊
Glad to help.
Thank you this helps a lot

should have had a litle ¨lock in place' for each file

Clear as thick mud, thanks
Downloaded Clipchamp to take screenshots from videos - only to find out when downloaded - IT DOESN"T HAVE THAT CAPABILITY!!!
