I finally tried cornbread and milk! Why did I wait so long!? Don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video, but it never fails to calm and relax. Good reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things.
Hi Crafsman. I just watched this again. I've watched it several times. I like a lot of those things you showed. I also like old typewriters, and collecting them. I like watching all the levers and linkages work together. Over 2000 parts in most of them, and they still work if you take care of 'em. I like how the hammers hit the page, and the rhythmic sounds they make. That sound keeps me working. Speaking of rhythmic sounds, I like the sound old clocks make, like the one on my mantel from the 1920s. The tick-tock sound relaxes me, and I like the chime when it goes. I like sitting on my easy chair over by there in the mornings, and my old greyhound comes up to get her head scratched. She lays her head on my knee while I drink my coffee. About 9 in the morning, a church closeby starts playing old hymns on their chimes. That's a real peaceful sound too. I like reading books, the sound of the pages when I'm turning pages, and the smell my old ones make in the living room. I like listening to old records, even if they've got a few scratches. I like my walks along the river, listening to the water, and the colors of the trees up around there when it's turning fall. I like standing out in the middle of a farmer's field when it's dead winter and snow is thick on the ground. If there's a moon, the snow twinkles like stars, and the snow soaks up all sound. It's just dead silent. I like that too. I really like it when my wife smiles with her eyes when she looks at me, and when my boys find something real funny and they laugh loud. That's just a few things I like.
My Papaw (my grandfather) used to have a glass of buttermilk with crumbled cornbread in it every night in the evening. I haven't thought about that in years. Thanks, CrafsMan. :)
CrafsMan, I don't go out of my way to like or comment on many youtube videos, but I have nothing but LOVE for what you do! Thank you for sharing this. Honey biscuits, cornbread n milk and old knick knacks are a few of my favorite things too. 😁
I do like honey ... Some. My nose tells me when it doesn't want any more. I get a funny feeling in my nose, and then, no more honey. But it's so pretty, like eating a gemstone. I like to look at it, and I like watching bees make it. I've always liked biscuits, and I like making them for my son Wally who would eat them every day. I've never even heard of fig preserves and now I must find some. I like cornflakes & strawberries with milk. I like milk ... I've never had cornbread & milk! That thumb oil is the kind in "The Wizard of Oz": "Oil can!" I like the keys, the older & chunkier, the better. I like old smalls in general, especially old doorknobs, hardware, bottles, containers, & tools, because you can imagine how many people handled & used them without thinking about it. Handling them connects you to those people. I like fixing old jewelry. I like being inside old houses & trying to figure out their history, how they were changed over time & how people lived in them. Imagining the history. My older brother is a photographer so I grew up with photography, always pictures being taken. Your videography is amazing. The subject is always simple, so your "eye" & visual artistry shines through. (This is very important on UA-cam!) That spoon is straight gorgeous. I like watching animals, figuring out their behavior & what's going on in their heads. I like the quiet outside just as a blizzard is ending. Ice cream. I like making anything better.
Wow, Kim. What an enjoyable read! Thank you so very much for watching and commenting. I had a smile on my face the whole time I was reading your response! :D :D :D
Loved reading this. I love a curious mind. I read a book once (I wish I could remember the name ) about how common household items came about and it was fascinating. My Dad was a professional photographer and he gave me the "eye" for the small stuff. I tend to catch things other people don't see and I love it. Keep finding joy in the simple things....especially right now.
I always put a like on your video before I watch it because I always know I’m going to like it!!! Never fails!! This one is poetic. Reminds me of being a kid and looking through my grandfathers garage. But back then those things weren’t quite collectors items. My mom used to make cornbread for all us kids and we would crumble it in milk. Yum yum we were happy kids!! Biscuits in the weekends, oh yeah!!! I like your monkey too!!! Soul-er powered!!! So wonderful!!!

Mr Crafsman, I picturing you as a true southern gentleman with a kind heart and pleasant smile. This video is wonderful, your soothing voice and the sound of the rain hitting the metal roof, can't get any better than that. The rain on the metal roof and the sound of the keys really got to me. Your channel is so calming. Thank you Crafsman. Love and best wishes to you and your family from England during this testing time.
yes, Sir! I do like the rain on a roof thing too ... bringing memories ... when I was young, there were times when I liked to just sit and look at some things, amazed at the inner beauty of things. Then later I was not allowed anymore to do so. Now after again some decades, nobody would complain or care, if I sit and look at the inner beauty of things ...
Hey Paul! I think it's good for us - somewhere on the inside - to just sit a spell and take in the beauty of something, even some small object. Consider how it was made, its purpose, etc. I like that. Thank you for watching, and taking time to comment!
I listen to this video at least once a week. I'm addicted to it. I wish it were longer and I look forward to your videos like these and your diy videos. Thanks for your great content Crafs Man!
Makes me happy how much you like this video. I want to do more like this, but don't want to bore a majority of the people who check these out. May have to do one with a disclaimer: "This is straight talking about randomized things here." :)
Love the antiques. I have a different set of walkie talkies though. Being a ham operator, I also collect and try to restore old vacuum tube model table radios and have quite a few in my collection along with telegraph keys and vacuum tubes on display. I have had corn bread but never had it dunked in milk before. It is now definitely on my to do list. My partner has a small collection of keys and we both have an assortment of tins too. Nice to see what other things you do here. Thanks for sharing as well. Please share other stuff you have when you have a chance.
Hello, sir! I apologize for missing this comment! Always nice to hear from a HAM operator. It's something I once thought about doing, but I didn't get to that level. I remember many visits to our local Radio Shack to get electrodes, capacitors, a new LED or some other component as I completed small projects from the "Getting Started in Electronics" green book I had (still have). :) I have a fondness when I walk to that one corner of our Radio Shack and they still have parts for sale, some of which have yellowed plastic, from years of juts hanging on the rack. :)
I kinda miss the Radio Shack days as well. Built my first radio kit from there. A 3 tube shortwave receiver when I was 16. Back in 1966. You old enough to remember the 'Battery of the Month Club'? 8c)
what a refreshing and fun video..love it as usual! In one part, I saw the fisher price tape recorder! My dad kept mine and has it in his tool shed, he still uses it to play old tapes. I'm a fan of amazing honey, also hot biscuits, cornbread and milk too...and sweet tea---that is my fave thing to drink. I don't drink sodas, just water and sweet tea. Biscuits are always a treat- never tried fig on them though, will have to try that. Raindrops are so peaceful too me as well. Thank you for posting some of your things you like!

But, I've never dunked my cornbread in my milk though, I'm gonna have to try that the next time I've got some, thanks for that idea. It was a great video, nice little change of pace.
Digging fossils from the river, detecting metal from the ground, finding sharks teeth at the beach. And of coarse sweet tea and warm biscuits. I really enjoy the soothing voice of the crafsman, right before bedtime.😴
When I was a kid, I loved collecting keys. My dad at one point gave me a ton of 'em he had collected over his life, and it made my year. I still have 'em put up somewhere at moms, now I wanna go get them. They were all kinds: old, new, small, large, some were from old cars, some were from old desks. To this day I've never thrown away a key, I've always found 'em fascinating.
As a southerner I love all these things! You don’t hear much about the virtues of cornbread and milk, but it is delicious! I like cobblers, honey baked ham, sweet potatoes, and cheese grits too! Mmmmm, I’m gettin hungry!

I never see people outside my family that do milk and cornbread! We crumble it first then put it in the milk and it tastes good if you melt a little butter on top of the cornbread before you add it :)
Before the two minute mark I was salivating like crazy. And when you said "cornbread and milk" - you really meant cornbread and milk! (Looks like skillet cornbread? That's my favorite kind of cake...;-) Love the sound of rain, and thunder in the distance. Right now I'm as chilled out as only a Crafsman video can make me...I seriously think you could singlehandedly put all the makers of anxiety drugs out of business.

I'm thinking of just letting people contribute whatever they want, from $1 on, to help with the videos. Some people have suggested ideas for rewards, like me recording things for them (voicemails and such), which I think is a fun idea. Definitely giving it some thought.
Crafsman, we had a fig tree next to our old house, and my mama used to make preserves, and homemade biscuits. My mom also used to eat cornbread in milk, all the way until the end. Such a blessing to my heart to see this. Sweet tea, yes SIR!
I love all those things too Crafsman - I have old tins that had belonged to my Grandparents, including a pretty tin full of old keys. I love old wooden boxes and wooden trays, which I keep my jewellery making tools and notebooks in; I love notebooks and paper and make my own notebooks from nice paper I have saved from packaging. I love my vintage typewriter and try to use it when I can in my art projects. I like collecting rocks and pebbles and it's always fun to find the occasional fossil. We call biscuits, 'scones' here in the UK, and I like plain ones with butter and jam, or cheese ones with butter - hot from the oven (for cheese ones, you put grated/shredded cheese into the mixture, as well as a little on top before baking and you can add pepper or herbs into the mix as well for variety. I love my dip ink pens for drawing and writing. I love my cats and dog and I keep their fur from combing, so that I can needlefelt something. I like vintage books, as they have really lovely covers and thick paper and I like how they smell. Thank you for sharing your likes Crafsman and God bless.
Cameras, oil cans, milk n honey, figs..... That makes us almost the same.. You are such a cool dude and these are some of the best videos on UA-cam. Peace.

It's just dead silent. I like that too. I really like it when my wife smiles with her eyes when she looks at me, and when my boys find something real funny and they laugh loud. That's just a few things I like.
This made me smile, Scott. Bigtime thank you for sharing this with me, my friend.
This video is everything. You have the eye of an artist, the soul of a poet, and the the voice of an angel. God bless you and yours.
My Papaw (my grandfather) used to have a glass of buttermilk with crumbled cornbread in it every night in the evening. I haven't thought about that in years. Thanks, CrafsMan. :)
Still one of the best videos in the channel. Crafsman this is crazy
CrafsMan, I don't go out of my way to like or comment on many youtube videos, but I have nothing but LOVE for what you do! Thank you for sharing this. Honey biscuits, cornbread n milk and old knick knacks are a few of my favorite things too. 😁
Jason, I'm very glad to hear that! Thanks for taking time to watch AND comment! Things like this mean a lot to me. :)
Such a peaceful beautiful creator and a wonder teacher. Love you Crafsman.
That thumb oil is the kind in "The Wizard of Oz": "Oil can!"
I like the keys, the older & chunkier, the better.
(This is very important on UA-cam!)
That spoon is straight gorgeous.
Happy to shine the happy back at you! 🌞
Man, I can’t believe this is three years old! It’s still such a joy to come back to.
I need to surround myself with more of the type of people who enjoy watching stuff like this.
Indeed!!!!!! Me too
I always put a like on your video before I watch it because I always know I’m going to like it!!!
BEST video EVER MADE. Nothing better than this on the internet. You do it every time Crafsman! I indulge in your content. It's so pure and honest and authentic and everything good I want to see
Wow. What a kind thing to say! Thanks so much for taking time to encourage me, and of course, for checking out one of my little videos. It means so much to me. :)
TheCrafsMan SteadyCraftin I pray much success in all your endeavors. Thanks so much for creating quality content & sharing with us!
I love all those things too! Plus, the smell of old books, sleeping in, eclairs and hummingbirds
Mr Crafsman, I picturing you as a true southern gentleman with a kind heart and pleasant smile. This video is wonderful, your soothing voice and the sound of the rain hitting the metal roof, can't get any better than that. I love the sound of my animals eating, lets me know they are happy and content or maybe just hungry, none the less, I love it. I love the light of a full moon, such a pretty glow as it beams down on the Earth. I love Lasagne, mmm ,mmm , good and I love the CrafsMan, such a sweet beautiful soul who makes my mind as artist come to life. Thank you so much CrafsMan for igniting the creative fire within me. Much Love from Arkansas!!!
There is nothing I can think of more wholesome and important to my anxiety than steadycrafting. It's single handedly gettin me through nursing school without a mental break down. Is like listening to a new chill best friend. Thank you crafsman!!
Jodi, I missed replying to you a couple months back, and I'm sorry! I appreciate you and this comment so much!
Crafsman. Don't matter when you seen it just that it was saw!
Part of me loves these videos for the crafts, part of me because of Crafsman and part of me for seeing other people also enjoying them.
I like all the things you like too. I also like warm cuddly kittens, watching the doe and her fawn play in my pond, hummingbirds, bluebirds and all kinds of flowers. I really like watching Crafsman videos, because it makes me feel happy. ❤
One of your videos made it to the front page of reddit videos a day or two ago. If you see a big jump in subscribers or your recent image transfer to wood videos that is why.
I noticed that too!!
He deserves more
Can Confirm. I found this amazing channel through Reddit.
Wow. I have not been to Reddit but went over and looked at it. It seems like a lot of people check that out. I'm humbled, y'all. Thank you for letting me know!
What subreddit did it come from??
I had a really rough day and this is what I needed
I've only been here for your restoring moments to "stop and smell the roses" for a few months, but... thank you for sharing. Could you read another kid's book on air? I really felt wrapped in a joyful, warm bubble when you read the Frog & Toad, a few months back. Enjoy Fall.
That was my favorite too!
Very pleasant videos. He has one of those perfect soothing voices.he could easilly land a job in his free time doing audio book recordings. Move over Teddy ruxpin, we have the crafsman
I have liked each one of your videos, but this one, of your favorite things, is my absolute favorite! Thank you for sharing a little part of yourself, with us!
Crafsman, what a bright spot you are to our day! Thank you for all of the hard work and time that you put into your videos for your fans!
I got so hungry after watching this!😊 I love cats, biscuits, antiques and rainy days as well!
Your videos are a fine reminder of the beauty of life's simple pleasures. They are very zen like in their tranquility and attention to minute detail. Pleas keep making them. I think they bring a lot of people joy.
Very encouraging, Bradley. Thank you for taking time to encourage me!
Thank you, Crafsman for your great videos, I've watched a variety and enjoyed every one. I, too, like fresh biscuits and old keys and rain on a tin roof. Please keep them coming. Love and hugs, Joan
Hello, Joan! :D Thank you so much for watching, and for the kind words!
CrafsMan is clearly from the South. I am too. I like everything in the video as well. And my mama's pound cake, collard greens and chicken and dumplings on a cold day
Oh mercy, yes. We like the same things there, Ed! Thank you for watching and commenting!
I like that you are trying to trick us into learning a craft, while you sooth our souls and make us stop, and listen, be quiet and still, even if just for a moment. Thank you....
LOL! Thank you SO much!
You're one of my favorite people in the world, Crafsman. Stay blessed.
New viewer and subscriber.
This is just beautiful. Wholesome and honest. A certain contentment and peace just radiates from The CrafsMan and his videos.
I am in awe.
This is great! Your photography and narration gets better and better. I can tell you really do enjoy your work and everyone really appreaciates you sharing it with us. Please continue making these great videos.
Thanks so much!
Cornbread and milk is what life is all about. This is the best part of not being a sponsored channel, you can do videos like these without the pressure of having to sell something. I hope you keep doing what you're doing crafsman!
Your videos are my favorite! I get so excited when I see a new video of yours pop up! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your interests with us. I can imagine an enjoyable rainy afternoon sitting on the porch drinking tea and eating some warm biscuits. The time I spend watching your videos is always a highlight to my day. Thank you Crafs Man!
Gregory, it does my heart good to read comments like this. Thank you, my friend, for watching my videos and taking time to encourage me. It is greatly appreciated!
This really soothes my soul. The way you jangle the keys around so lovingly really makes me happy. Keep on steady craftin', please, Crafsman. Thanks for your unique contribution of awesome to the universe.
I do like these things, too.
Glad to hear this! Thank you for watching!
You're the best, CrafsMan.
Thanks so much, I needed to slow down. This helped me remember long past things and count my blessings, peace.
Aww, so glad to hear it, Sandra! :D
I like all of those things :) What a nice video. Greetings from
Sweden.
Biscuits is the best! Keys 🔑 🎹 is cool! Preserve the best! Love the old cans! Old stuff rocks!
Keep on steady craftin! Mad love craftsman
You’re so so wonderful. It’s like I’m listening to a comforting friend, thank you for sharing your life with us!
I like all of those things, but I really like the calm, soothing sound of the Crafsman's voice! Thank you for all you do, you are a true blessing!
what a refreshing and fun video..love it as usual!
MRS. KELLY! How in the world did I miss this comment?!? So sorry, ma'am! Absolutely delightful, as always! Grateful that you found my little UA-cam channel. You always bring me smiles!
@@TheCrafsMan ---oh it's ok!!! You are getting so popular I'm surprised you are able to respond!!
Thank you!! I'm glad I found your channel too!! Keep SteadyCraftin!
I also really enjoy the sound of rain, cornbread, biscuits and pies!
Thanks for sharing with us Crafsman!
You're the best!!!
Cornbread, milk, biscuits, honey, little antiques, rain on the roof-I like all of those things too CrafsMan. The rain just sounds so soothing. But, I've never dunked my cornbread in my milk though, I'm gonna have to try that the next time I've got some, thanks for that idea. It was a great video, nice little change of pace.
Crafsman's essence is beautiful. Always appreciate the little things that make you happy and share it with others.
My boyfriend bought me a book today, he called it an “I love you gift”, just because. I like the things our loved ones do for us from their hearts
I could listen to you all day. You have the most relaxing, kind voice I've ever heard.
As a southerner I love all these things! You don’t hear much about the virtues of cornbread and milk, but it is delicious!
I like cobblers, honey baked ham, sweet potatoes, and cheese grits too! Mmmmm, I’m gettin hungry!
Now you know I like ALL that stuff! :D Thank you, Virginia!
As a Texas girl born and raised this is the kind of video I love. True southern beauty from rain on a metal roof to old keys and containers to sweet tea 😁 love it all!
Hanging out in the living room with my family. I pull up UA-cam and ask my 8 year old son what he wants to watch. His answer was TheCrafsMan.
That right there warms my heart. Thank you for sharing this with me! :D
This was 4 years ago? Wow. Still inspiring as the day it went up.
Luuuuuv it! You’re gonna be an ASMR dude. Hope you tagged it for ASMR cuz it was great!
I love how this channels is not labled as asmr and is still one of the best asmr experiences out there. Love me some unintentional asmr!
This video made me feel at home. I love all these things. The rain on a tin roof is probably my favorite.TY for sharing part of your life. The comment Brenda made about this video being art is so true.
I love all of those things, tried all of those those things except the date preserves and have a lot of those items..you are so wonderful and the funny thing is we need to reroof next spring and have seriously been talking about replacing with a metal roof...Again you have been the calming inspiration this world needs...SOMEBODY GET THIS MAN ON T.V. and share some love !!!!
You're always so kind, Ms. Deby! Thank you for watching, and always leaving me such a nice, encouraging comment!
You my Gentleman deserve nothing less. I am sure by the fans you now have and will have you will grow much larger in a short time. My blessings to you and the Mrs.
Crafsman your videos are so calming and serene. They make me feel good and relaxed. I love what you’re doing
So glad you like what I do! Thank you for watching!
I don't know why exactly, but I think this is one of my most favourite youtube videos! So relaxing and calming, I've returned to watch this video many times since subscribing to the crafsman.
I never see people outside my family that do milk and cornbread! We crumble it first then put it in the milk and it tastes good if you melt a little butter on top of the cornbread before you add it :)
Kittenesque! :D Yessss, at one time I thought we were the only ones who did this. Come to find out, it's pretty popular, more than I thought. :D
I love all those things too Mr. Crafsman! Looks like you see the providence and beauty in everything the Lord provides!
Love cornbread and this video you made. Eric.
:D So happy to hear that! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I loved this. It reminded me of my grandpa and how he appreciated the little things in life. Thank you Crafsman
Aww, super super kind comment. Mighty nice of you.
Before the two minute mark I was salivating like crazy. And when you said "cornbread and milk" - you really meant cornbread and milk! (Looks like skillet cornbread? That's my favorite kind of cake...;-)
Love the sound of rain, and thunder in the distance.
Right now I'm as chilled out as only a Crafsman video can make me...I seriously think you could singlehandedly put all the makers of anxiety drugs out of business.
Crafsman thank you so much for this video. Very calming and comforting, I need this right now. I like all these things too.
Best wishes from New York City.
🥰 👍
This video is pure perfection all around. Top notch videography, quality, narration.... everything. Crafsman, I am especially enamored with your nick nack collection. If you ever want to make a show and tell video of your nick nack collection, I can safely say that I'm not the only one who would enjoy it!
Also, if you ever do a Patreon account I will definitely support it.
Thank you so much for that! Really, it encourages me!
I'm looking into Patreon right now. I got hung up on the part where it asks about different rewards for different amounts.
You did it again! You are so creative and I love your videos! Thanks crafsman 😊
ive been watching for about a year. i love your videos, im going back and watching all the old ones
We ❤ you CrafsMan! 😍
Crafsman loves y'all back!
Peace.
Glad you like them, Andy! :D
Crafs Man, I must say you have given me much comfort in these last few days. My father passed nearly five years ago when I was fifteen and for some reason your videos have helped to heal the hole in my heart. Thank you so much.
Madison, this hits me in the heart. I want to say that I'm so sorry for your loss. To know that what I do helps in some way means SO very much to me. Thank you for sharing this.
yes to all of these things. also, the feeling/sound of arcade cabinet buttons, and the smell of tall grass in August, when it's been baked by the sun.
I like those too! :D Arcade cabinet buttons - that's one I might not have thought of, but as soon as you mentioned it, it clicked with me!
What a gorgeous biscuit!
Maybe the Mrs Crafsman could do a cooking segment. Starting with the recipe for sweet tea.
Crafsman is so calming, I wish he could narrate my life.
Gimme back my Fisher Price Cassette Recorder! For decadesI was searchin it, now it turns out CrafsMan enjoys it while eatin sweet honey on biscuits. ;-D And that thing is tough. It fell into my bathwater and when it got out it still worked. Thanks for the appreciation of all those nice things.
Mr CrafsMan, I'm so glad to see that you're using Hull Brown Drip plates! They're a favorite of mine. Love the videos! Thank you for putting them out.
It's neat that someone else knows about that pattern! It's our favorite! :D Thanks for watching and commenting!
2:14 It would take a professional photography stylist a while to set up a scene like this :-)
Mannnnn, Mike! If you're being for real with me, I really appreciate that! :D
Very real, trust me, very real !
Next time I can't sleep I'm replaying this... Your voice is so calming!
Do a vid on making cornbread , because now im hungry for some of that after watching this . Keep up the good work
I’m thankful for you Crafsman. I too like all these things. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s so appreciated
