    Matty I started my flagging journey in summer of 1977, as an apprentice street mason. I worked for the city surveyors & engineers dept. Manchester City Council. I'm in me 60s now, but if I was a bit younger my cv would be on ur desk. great job lads. my boss just said, "just do it right"

    Hi Matty great job as always. Alot of challenges on the way no access for materials and tools etc. But liverpool's finest all in a weeks work. Perfection and performance. Adapt and conquer. Congratulations on hitting 70.000 subscribers. I've no doubt this time next year your at a million.

    Matty and Jake, what a gorgeous job this is. Just love the shape you’ve created and as always the outstanding workmanship. No matter how big or small the job you both just make it yours in a way only you can do ❤️ the weather was absolutely shocking haha poor Jake, still digging away in that rain ☔️ bless him and at the part where the slow music comes in, it really does evoke emotion not just because of the beauty in your work but just seeing you both working together and seeing generational skills pass along!     At the end of every vlog when I’ve seen all the work that you have done and then you show us the final scenes …. I always say “Bloody Hell, that’s amazing 🤩”. Your attention to detail, to the materials your using and most importantly making the Customer see how much effort you put into protect their property is 100%

    Beautiful, I so much prefer the look of natural stone over porcelain... but I guess it is subjective. Great work as usual Matty... you and your two awning company smashing it again!!

    Ive used your expertise/videos to finally take the plung and point up some welsh slate slabs and its a great finish, fair play.
    On to my indian sandstone next after initially been told to use the brush in stuff which is rubbish and very expensive.
    Any tips for removing any areas which may have staining on the Welsh slates slabs (minimal) or the indian sandstone (should i need to) please? 🙏

    Evening Matt, do you sometimes have to cut slabs to keep the bonds and joints nice and tight. The 1x1 can usually mess me up and have find I have to modify them

      Yeah we keep them on the tight side, lay a few metres then adjust. But yeah I know what you mean

    Great stuff again Matty. You need to do one of them videos to fall asleep to... like 10hrs of you tapping on blocks with a metal hammer... oddly relaxing sound!
    How come you do not use a block splitter type cutter rather than cutting with a blade, is the finish not as good or accurate?

    Not a criticism but do you think it would have been better to recess the mortor joints in the curbs and then fill them with Flowpoint as well so they will last longer

      Yeah you could have done that. I just matched the colour to the kerb so they blended in colour but yeah, would of been an option

    A small job by your standards but still stunning. Halfway through laying the patio you hosed it down, never noticed you doing that before, any reason why? I prefer stone to porcelain,think it's timeless.👍

    Some questions occupied my mind
    1- The first question is what material do you coat the stone with from the bottom before you fix it to the cement mixture?
    2- The second question: What is the material that fills the spaces between commas and what is its advantage?

      1 primer to bond to mortar
      2 jointing mortar to stop water ingress

      @@thelightofficial666 ye mate, I know they say that but not sure the reason behind it? It’s only cementitious material going on top of each other. Who wants to wait 2 weeks to point up and get paid? Not me ☺️

      That's just to avoid efflorescenes and possible movement cracks. top job as always by the way 👌🔝

      @@BuildForceNortheast 👍🏼👍🏼 ta mate. well this is interesting as the path we pointed which has been down for years, showed way more efflorescence than the patio we just laid.
      Never had any movement cracks in Flowpoint either. Sometimes I think they say things just to cover themselves

    Please make vertical videos are videos with an aspect ratio of 9:16, which means that the width is 9 units and the height is 16 units. This video size has become increasingly popular due to the advent of devices * and make the videos at normal speed and a full hour long, because speeding up videos is annoying to the viewers' eyes
