Delighted they let you into the Members suite . There is a conference room that caters for up too 300 people also. The new 2,500 seater North Stand which as you probably saw is preparing for construction will have the SRFC office, commercial units, two wing walls covering stair cases which will be sheltered. The main West stand is due too get a 1.7M€ upgrade also, I believe adding a VIP area too the stand.
@Mike M that’s exactly what Iv said recently haha some L1 teams don’t get that. 7,500 at the game last night and live on TV was a great battle serious tackles and lots of attacking.
Peaky, as always apologies for belated watching. Excellent video, you captured everything, build-up, interviews, match action, crowd reaction. Great stadium and atmosphere, you showcase it well. Love hearing the Derry fans singing “Teenage Kicks”, never forget your roots, wish they could play in the Irish League. Thank you for uploading. Gabe 💚❤️🖤
Gabe, your wee late comments on the videos make me smile. Anytime I doubt what I’m doing you always seem to get a wee comment up which makes me think positive again ❤️
Great vid I watched the match on TV, rover's fans couldn't believe how good Derry were . You have to put your chances away otherwise the other team can steal it . I can take it it but so brilliant Derry were . ... Keep up the great work !!!!👍
Excellent vlog, although it did end abruptly, but Id say you were shattered today, very long trip. On the match, I was impressed with Derry, a big strong physical side who like to play football. It's the first visiting team this season, to actually bring the game to Rovers. Overall a draw would have been a fair result, however, as you alluded to, Rovers are quite clinical, very happy with the win
I’d recorded a wee bit this morning to close it but left it out as the vlog was too long. There was a bit of commotion last night in the car park. I’d usually record a wee bit when I get to the car but was feared that someone would put my window in 😂
Was at the game as a neutral. Both fans brilliant 👍. A good game of football and a lovely evening. Thanks for covering the league ! Looks like your channel is growing . Top two first division sides play in Galway in two Weeks …. You should make a night of it down there promises to be a great atmosphere😉
Ah, so many places I want to get to but have to balance the books so to speak. Hoping that it can build to a level where it’s self sustaining but at the minute it’s not anywhere near that. People have donated which greatly helps with the fuel costs.
Great vlog as always. I think you're getting more enjoyment from Derry City games than anything else at the moment maybe because you can view them as a neutral.
I’ve a soft spot for Derry. Get on very well with the fans. They are so friendly and respectful of me. The brand of football the team play is good to watch. Their players work their holes off.
@@ThePeakys Ahhh they'd only love the trip down to Waterford on a grand summers day ey :D you'd have to stay in Tramore, the coastal town just a few minutes outside the city centre, perfection, a lovely fair ground too for the little lad to enjoy ^^
Good man Niall. Shame about the result Derry were much the better team but just can't find the net at the minute. If we can stay within touching distance until transfer window who knows come end of season. 🔴⚪
Rover’s fans were brilliant all game. Shame we couldn’t see it on the video or the stripe’s that were flying around the south stand. Rover’s fans put some show on before tip off. You didn’t seem to catch that on your video. Derry fans were super aswell. Derry were the better team. We took over the last 20 and showed what a great squad we have. We made 7 changes for that game. And what came of the bench won it. Derry weren’t clinical. And we showed them if you don’t take your chances you’re going back up north with nothing because that’s why we’re champions we do take our chances.
The Gaffer said it was a game of missed chances. However, I’d be really worried if we weren’t making chances. It’s still early days yet & Every team has a sticky patch in a season & Rovers have yet to have there’s. DCFC all way. Yet again if this was taken on yer fone it’s a very clear picture. Well done. What did Oisìn say when you got home?
How many fans, roughly, had Derry down with them? It was definitely a banging atmosphere in the away end and exactly how it should be for any team travelling away. I think the Derry keeper will be disappointed for the Rovers goal but Derry were the better team and Mannus had to make a couple of smart stops. By the size of the travelling support, the Irish League have an absolute massive way to go to catch up and I know Derry is a city with only one team but still, people need to back their local side more but that's a huge conversation as there are lots of factors. But Niall, you missed an absolute corker at the Oval, unbelievable!
@@jackmccalmont5311 I agree, Larne had a brilliant travelling support last night, it was loud, it was singing, it was everything you would nearly want but the question is; why is it not like that every week? Why can't we or why aren't we taking at least 400 or more to every away game? Linfield, Glentoran, Coleraine etc could all sell out the away end at Inver but in a similar sized stand, away from home, we couldn't sell it out; why is that?
Another superb footy vlog Niall. Best there is for honest content amongst all things football. Nice to see that Tallaght stadium. An example to others with government assistance.
Around 300 I think. Not entirely sure. The game being on RTÉ probably reduced the travelling support. I wouldn’t/couldn’t have gone to the oval after watching coleraine getting disposed of on Tuesday. 😢 The 2 leagues have so much going for them at the minute.
@@ThePeakys I agree, both leagues have a lot going for them at the moment and the NIFL really need to get on the bandwagon and make the most of the rise in attendances and better product on the pitch to try and get more support to games, however, most of that drive has to come at club community level. I asked about the travelling numbers as it's about three hours from Derry to Dublin, the game is on RTE and they still took a good crowd with a bouncing atmosphere. The disappointing thing is, from a Larne point of view, we are lucky to get half that, barely 150 to go forty minutes up the road to Windsor or to you guys at Coleraine. Although, when results are going good, everyone knows it brings a bigger crowd. How much was entry to the LOI game?
You are quite fortunate to be invited on board like that by Rovers. They can be a little less than accommodating at times but I guess that comes with some folk not exactly being neutral with their views 😂. You are as neutral a reviewer as they come.

It'll be a class stadium once the works are completed, imagine the noise during the European games there?!
Such a good ground. Will be phenomenal when complete.
