Amen! It’s a lesson I’ve learned over the years (I’m 64). I am Roman Catholic, born and raised. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior in Kansas City, Kansas at an international Charismatic convention back in February of 1978. However, it’s taken me this long to learn this valuable lesson. THIS WORLD IS NOT OUR HOME! Jesus tells us that we are meant for so much more! HE is where our true comfort lies, where we find TRUE peace and contentment that really does go beyond ALL understanding. But there will always be a longing in our hearts as we journey in this life. Nothing in this world will ever satisfy this longing. We will not be “settled” until we are finally at Home in Heaven finally in God’s Holy Presence forever. Thank you, dearest Max Lucado, for saying “yes” to God’s call on your life. You have helped keep this child of God on the path toward Heaven.

Just stumbled across this yesterday by sheer chance while going thru random videos, and it was EXACTLY the sort of thing God wanted me to hear for the issues I’m going through. Wish I’d commented then, honestly, but life sadly got in the way.
I pray that I can do this. I tend to focus on the here and now and struggle to focus on the future despite the fact that I have bulletproof faith in God.
I really needed this. I truely feel that's why no matter how happy you are there is always something missing. It's because we will never be fully happy because we long to be home in heaven with our heavenly father.
2:13 "fatalistic frets of hope" I thought this was such an interesting and illustrative phrase. I sat with it for a moment to bring myself to what I thought Mr. Lucado meant by it as the combination of words were counter-my-intuitive. How keen it is to notice human beings' tendency to pretend to hope! My eyes are surely lifted by pastor Max's word today. Thank you, my Lord Jesus!

I think about heaven all the time but the knowledge we want is hid from us..John says it does not yet appear what we shall be so its just a guess and Ive never seen my heavenly home not even a picture, I have no idea what my parents do up there...Not enough knowledge
My daughter is an incarnated angel. She actually is taken every night back to heaven. She knows a lot about heaven. She is only 8 years old . When I tell this to people they brush it off. People say that they want to know about heaven but when there are actually angels in human form to explain it to us then nobody cares to listen. 🤷🏻♀️
Great message as usual. You mentioned thinking about our life in heaven and our eternal body. Can you provide references to what our eternal body will be like? I am aware of Jesus appearing to the 2 disciples who didn’t recognize Him at first. Then when He was ready, he revealed Himself. I know He appeared wherever He wanted to, so that gives some sense of what we will be like. I know that we will rule and reign with Him in the millennium. But are there other references?
