I witnessed a C-17 abort a takeoff at an airshow. It ingested a bird into it's number 1 engine! The unintentional demonstration of a rejected takeoff was actually amazing to witness - they jammed on the thrust reverses and came to a halt within half the length of the runway.
Fantastic video per usual! I have the C-17 burned into my brain as my "freedom bird" as well. I flew on the C-17 from Iraq to Kuwait after completing my tour of duty. It was floored by the size of interior space of this thing. And Happy New Year too!
i live in the short final area of Jakarta's Halim Airport / AFB , Indonesia. I remember in 2011 when President Obama visiting here there are few C-17s are flying around, there is one plane doing a hot shot stuff, the plane is doing a low downwind and commencing final with a medium turn (or it could be a steep one). that is the point where I'm being truly amaze by the globemaster,
We have a MCAS base here . I've seen and toured the GLOBEMASTER and it flys overhead occasionally and lands at the air station. What a monster of an aircraft. Please cover the OSPREY another plane we see frequently
interesting video - thanks - saw it on nebula - you say McDonnell-Douglas solved their problems and the plane went into full production, but at 11:34 you say Boeing decided to end production - whose plane was it?
Thsnks for the video. The cockpit seems to have a stick controller as opposed to a yoke which I think is unusual for, non-airbus, large aircraft. Is this the case?
Finally, a new video! Amazing job as per usual!
great work 👏 like your channel .from Australia 🇦🇺, keep it up very informative 👍

Nice job on this one!😁👍 And love the end reel too.😜
Thank you! Plenty more of that coming, I'm sure 😁
@@JennyMaAviation Well, being willing to show the bloopers shows confidence and humanizes the person on camera, so nothing but good.😁👍

Amaizing video as usual !
Love your work, surprising, that the c17 uses B75- engines didn't expect that
Have you thought about putting your content on Curiosity Stream or is it there already & I’ve just missed it…?

Boeing acquired the McDonnell-Douglas company at a later date.
New upload!
About time!! 😁

Max speed of .74 is incorrect. That’s a long-range, fuel efficient cruise speed. Max was 340/.80 (or maybe .82….can’t remember).
Newzland to Alaska.
You don't have much choice now, you need to tell us about the Airbus A400m. BTW, you have been missed.
"loadmaster"...yeah, so many jokes to be made there. Cool plane.
11:50. The children weren't afghans?
