Had a very good stay at Vogue. Guest friendly. Only surprise was when I first got to my room. I put my bag on the bed then stepped into the rest room. When I came out a man was standing on my balcony. I quickly realized that he was painting the building. He was suspended on a rope like spider man and working his way down as he painted.
It is a very good place to stay for the budget conscious. Stayed there June for $20aud p/n. Room was much better than the one they showed you. Bed was as usual a bit hard but that's to be expected. Approx 2mins walk to soi buakow! 5 mins walk to soi pothole LK metro TreeTown etc etc. Aircon excellent and they where installing new hot water systems I think to all rooms. Pools were ok but basic. If you want a good pool just go and walk into another hotels pool! Never been asked if I am staying there. Booked again Jan/Feb 2023 @ $17aud p/n. Definitely not the flashiest place to stay but "the price is right". Already looking at July 2023 still around $20aud! Where else in the world can you enjoy yourself for so little! With free cancellation and booking well in advance you can definitely get a bargain! Keep up the good work Daz !!!
Hi Daz, thank you for the overview of the Vogue. Have booked for 2 weeks in November for £20 a night inc Breakfast....fantastic value and brilliant location with 2 pools, a gym and decent restaurant. ( Guest friendly a bonus !! )
New Nikom Court next door to Pallin house is decent as well. Nice and clean rooms, been around for ages, lots of regular customers. I stay there when I haven't booked anywhere else and I am just showing up in Pattaya. Used to be 500 baht in 2010 now around 700.
Thank you for scouting out these hidden gems. Vogue definitely would my first pick for a peaceful and serene stay. I also liked Pailin House for its proximity to the main street and the upper floor room that faced the street at an angle so you can still sit and people watch without the room directly facing the street.🍻 Cheers!
You make a great effort to show guys budget rooms in a very central area..ive stayed in places like those, many times..perfectly suotable..close to many restaurants.no need to have a motosai...
Thank you for posting this video, after watching this I have just booked 21 nights in the vogue for December. Normally stay above The Devonshire down soi lengkee and didn't even know the vogue was there. Great find and very reasonably priced.
thank you Daz, think i would opt for the Pailin, first for the great view onto Lenke (not sure about the street noise though) and secondly for the attitude of the lady that showed you around, very pleasant!. i actually stay at the far end of Soi Buakhao in a very quiet little guesthouse, no bar, pool or restaurant but great family atmosphere and extremely clean. been staying there 2-3 times a year for around eight years now
Thanks for the video. I usually stayed in Noble House guesthouse in front of Vogue Hotel. It's been before covid shutdown but the Vogue Hotel used to be popular with Chinese tour companies. There was usually three bus loads a night.
I was going to book into the vogue hotel about 5 years ago ,but i was put off by numerous reviews on websites saying that it was full of noisy chinese tourists. leaving early in the mornings for there days out..I then went and took a look for myself when i was in pattaya. The hotel did look good value ,but whilst i was there a bus full of chinese tourists turned up.
You are doing great work. I wish I had this channel ten years ago. I got fleeced when I went to Pattaya in 2012. I remember I spent $300 on drinks in one night because I got swamped by bar girls. Interesting fact is I was there as a child in 1987 when it was still practically just a fisherman’s town.
Stayed there in june rooms great value for the money pool was always empty great location soon has you leave hotel straight in the action i always stay high floor front of the hotel great views and quiet.
I stayed at the Vogue Sep 2 to 18th they have 3 blocks A B C I was in C block ..1000 BT deposit returned on checkout very friendly staff have security guard outside around the clock 2 men very friendly ..I think this hotel has had a refurb as my room looked new even had wrapping still on lampshades and other items in room and Aircon looked brand new I was on floor 6 it was very quiet and comfortable I would highly recommend the price worked out at 467 bt a night have booked again Dec 21st for 1 month price 512 bt a night both booked on Agoda
As I said a couple of reviews ago that I stayed there in early and mid August. Great rates now. A little cheaper than it was in 2019. There is a 1000b security deposit. Only a short walk to 3rd Road and only a few minutes walk to soi Pothole and the new Excite center. It is also guest friendly and they leave ID at reception. Good foot massages at the shop on soi Lengkee opposite the entry road you used. Cheap food a Malee restaurant near the massage place.
You really are brilliant at doing your job my friend daz I love pattaya so much I am coming to Thailand again hopefully in February next year the first one was the best but they are all nice in there own way my friend I love watching your videos you are such a lovely man
The guy downstairs at the Bluebird was a real charmer😂.,...the view out the balcony door at the next place....with the barbed wire looked like the prison I stayed at a few years back....🥴🤣.....great vid!!.....l love this stuff.
Give the guy a break. Might have been porter / security, not receptionist - and had little English. It's low season and few guests - having a nice snooze would be standard
Next to pailin house you can see it from the second room balcony is opey de place, very good value with a nice pool, just a suggestion for another video, soi langkee is a great spot
I've stayed at Shanghai Guesthouse, Soi Lengkee. Tough to beat in terms of what you get for the price, if you choose a balcony room - but the hard beds are off-putting
I have stayed at the Vouge twice, first pré Covid when the Junior Suites were available (Excellent value for money) and this July. They had only opened up part of the hotel. No complaints either time. Close to everything but not much in the way of noise. I would definatly book again, hopefully the bigger suites are open.
What can I say Daz! I recently stayed at the vogue in one of the junior suites, and all I can say is they must keep certain rooms available for UA-camrs to check out when they come knocking to do reviews! After watching your review of the vogue and looking at the photos, I booked myself in for 6 nights a couple of weeks ago! As soon as I let myself into the room I knew I had made a mistake! It was nowhere as nice as the room they let you go around, in fact it was rather tired looking, and really could do with a makeover! I can't knock the staff, as they were great, but disappointed I was! In fact, I had already booked a room for my future trip in September, but after staying here decided to cancel that booking! It has to be said, that there are nicer places in and about the same price range that I would consider 1st
This is what I imagined it would be. Website photos look great, but lots of "looks tired and in need of a makeover" on the reviews on Tripadvisor. I'm spending 16 days in Patts at the end of the year and while I don't want a Hilton bill, I would like something I can relax in. I found the Amethyst Hotel off Soi 15- looks great and the reviews match. I think the only complaint was nearby construction, but hoping it will be fine by then. Also, Amethyst Hotel is girl friendly.
This is excellent value hotel vogue i am going to look at this for my next visit next year many thanks And thanks for visiting pallin house its basic but has all you need the corner room was a surprise Many thanks
Thank you for the excellent coverage of these various guest houses, saves a lot of traipsing around, I have stayed at noble house , on the way into vogue, way back , and could use vogue pool for 50 baht, I think Mums guest house has gone now that was also on the lengkee strip, bit noisy with karee oki, at night if you wanted an early night, but baht prices are about the same from years ago, good value.
Hi Daz, love your videos. Thank you so much for creating such useful and entertaining content...Always very informative and very relevant and interesting. It would be highly appreciated if you could do a vlog on the best hotels with large well-kitted gyms, ideally in Buakhao area. As of now i always have to stay in A-One hotels or Fairtex as these have fully functioning fitness centres, but they are far from where we like to go for action of an evening. Many thanks
Yes i watched your video on Muscle Factory but I’d like to stay / visit a gym nearer to Buakhao area. Thanks anyway Daz, and keep up the excellent vlogs
Great video Daz! Been thinking about Vogue for my trip, but trying to sort out hotels with prices/location and the amount of days to stay isn't the easist 😂
The Vogue - what a find Daz. I had no idea that was down there and as you say, it's close to everything. They should pay you a commission for putting them up on YT. I'm sure I'm not the only one that missed seeing the place. Suddenly I'm checking flights again because their prices make a trip during high season more affordable
Daz you have a lot of friends coming in October 555 I'm moving to pattaya November gona rent a room at novanna residence nice 1 on the video its perfect for my bugget and the gym pool and sauna is just what I need
Stayed in The Bluebird in high season for about 650/700 a night. It was in fact bookable through Agoda or Booking. No complaints, perfectly adequate rooms, and an awesome location. The Vogue swimming pool can be hired for 100 a day. The only point worth mentioning is that these smaller guest houses are exhausting if you are on a higher floor, particularly if you are older or not as fit as you might be. There are no elevators. The Vogue probably has an elevator I don't know...this would be worth finding out in future videos of cheaper rooms and hotels.
oh, my God, this one is superb in terms of location, price and facilities. I have booked it in November, Daz, should I mention your vedio to get some discount?
I have stayed at The Vogue and can recommend it as good value and clean and very handy to Tree Town etc. Is also guest friendly. Is popular with Chinese bus tours.
afew of my friends stayed at the vogue last april the decking round the pool was lethal they said but it looks like they have changed it ,before covid i stayed at nalanta no pool but great hotel just off burkhao
The Vogue is a very good value for the room and location. I have coworkers coming on their first trip to Pattaya in January and I'm having them stay there the first night so I can lead a tour from the hotel... I don't stay there since finding a hotel with an amazing gym in the area... I never disclose my hotel to friends or coworkers that I know drink and make too much noise... I want them to enjoy Thailand without driving me crazy!
I like your videos on budget hotels in Pattaya but I would like to make 2 comments... When in bathroom of the old hotels look down at the floor under the shower. Does the shower area have barriers to stop the water flowing all over the bathroom? Also good that you film the TV because these days a flat screen TV is preferable.
I've stayed at the hole in one and it was great. It was a good few years ago but I used to go in the vogue to use the swimming pool for 50bart a time . I assume you still can just ask tbem. Ps the hungry panda on soi lenke is great Chinese food
I stayed at the Vogue and liked it. It was really quiet on the 3rd floor. Next time back they put me on the 5th and I could hear all the noise from Soi Lenkee
Agree with some other comments re room condition. Mine floor under bed filfthy. Cobwebs in room. Mould in hallways. Most of the small fitness room equipment is broken. Bed hard. They want to charge 200 baht extra for a blanket.. i will not be staying here again 1:33
Nice one Daz. That Vogue pool area used to look quite dingy (which put me off from booking) but they've spruced it up nicely during the plague. Not 100 % sure, but does that hotel get hammered with noisy coach parties from a certain part of the world?
The big concrete space infront used to be full of big busses and the vogue was packed with Chinese or Korean groups a few years ago when i stayed in blue bird during high season
I stayed at the Vogue for 4n in Oct.Nice decent rooms, good price. But both pools were very murky.I think needed a clean. But still enjoyed my stay.Wifi was hit and miss.
It would be good to know noise levels also, main roads, loud Bars, and of course how loud is the AC unit as many sound like Jets taking off. If it fills up with tour Bus loads forget it.
Thanks for the research I stayed in Pailin House Its the noisiest hotel ive ever stayed in slamming doors people shouting You can touch the hotel next door from the open corridors and the phones on each floor never stop ringing
I love the videos……. go check out golden sea that’s one of my favorite discount motels on Soi Buakow. Also go talk to John Walsh at Nemo’s Massage. His rooms above the massage shop are amazing value..
Hi Dazz, could u make a video about renting Safety Deposit boxes ? i have read TT Currency exchnage and Siam secure provide that service . Cud u find if its possible for tourists to rent one ?
Next month, I'd like to see the opposite end of the spectrum if possible. What if I want a big blowout stay for 3-4 days? What do those rooms look like? For an anniversary, birthday, special occasion, etc. Life's short, 1 or 2 videos of some spectacular places would be nice.
i love the way that we can climb from one hotel to another across the railings with the third hotel , but hey its £12 , and you could shake hands with your Neighbours and compare notes with hotel 2 but hey we cant expect much for thb 600 , take it easy daz see you on the next video, any updates on entry requirements for non vaxxed im coming around 3 rd week in oct as i understand it the thais are reviewing the entry requirements on 1 oct is this right
Thanks for showing the great deals on hotels in Pattaya. On my first visit there in 2019 I stayed at The Drunkin Duck on LK Metro and not knowing I was where the best partying is I went to Walking Street at night when I should have stayed put. On another note during my entire trip in Thailand ( Bangkok & Pattaya ) I did not use the hotel safes in fear that some employee has to have the master code so I always had all my cash with me and that made me uncomfortable as well. Do you trust the hotel safes ? Have you ever heard of anyone having their money come up missing from a hotel safe ? Thank in advance Steve
The Vogue looked a winner in terms of value for money although there didn’t seem to be many sun beds or much room around the pools and I can imagine it getting very busy if they allow outsiders to use for 50 baht. Although not applicable at this time, the arrival of bus loads of Chinese tourists would be a put off when they return.
many new places on soi 15 and i coming over in November. would be good to get an update of what is available. heard there many new and fantastic places to stay 👍
I know just April and August Suites never was August but I'm a fan of April Suites, very nice and modern rooms and what is meanwhile very important for me a very good bath with big shower. I'm now to old for fighting with cockroaches in the shower anymore... 😄
Hi Daz, I'm coming to Pattaya in June and I was wondering if you can suggest a guest friendly hotels near great places to eat and party and bring company with no issues. My plan is to come for 2 weeks and my nightly budget is between 20-25£. Coming from London by the way. Also I would love to catch up with you for a whole day with food, drinks and sightseeing. Tap is on me. Love your videos
@@everythingPattaya It's too many videos and I'm trying to catch up. As I have said, my budget is between 20-25£ a night for 2 weeks. Hope to see you in June
I stayed one other guesthouse on that block, may have been Pailin. can't remember for sure now. But be warned, that Soi is very much more busy than it used to be. Traffic goes up to third road.
I immediately ruled out the Vogue at 5:17 in the video. My laptop is wider than 2 electrical outlet covers, which in turn might or might not fit through the safe opening. That is the smallest hotel safe I've ever seen. But maybe saving room in a hotel safe is a good reason to justify getting an extra-small laptop just for traveling. Would hate to lose the laptop with my last 3 years of data, work, and purchased software installed on it. Clean burner phone, clean burner laptop might be a good plan. That could leave room for gold jewelry to give each new friend, without the first one taking it all. Am I a total newbie, or know all the advice Daz gives about taking ladies shopping, and I'm joking? Read the lyrics to "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" for the answer. Especially the part leading up to "Butterflies are free to fly"
Thanks for another great video. How do I find out which hotels do not charge “joiner fees” (ST/LT) looking on Agoda? Also do hotels require deposit (in Baht, US credit card (Visa))?
To guard against joiner fees worries, just book the room for 2 persons. It’s usually the same price as 1 person anyway unless you add breakfast. Normally the deposit is in Baht but the bigger hotels could use your debit/credit cards.
Hi Daz, this is good content and show what hotels to look and and to give a huge miss. The service that guy gave you at that hotel showed he had no interest at all.... probably didn't work there. Actually Daz, the type of hotel we are looking for should be reasonably modern or refurbished, clean, not too far from the beach/entertainment areas, have a small gym, a good pool, balconies with a bit of a view, a cafe is a bonus and be under 2000 baht.
🤣🤣🤣 Welcome To Thailand. SAFTY FIRST 🤣🤣

Bed hard. They want to charge 200 baht extra for a blanket.. i will not be staying here again

Stayed there in may im back for a month in October £328 twenty eight day's good hotel great location
Wow! They even have pail in the house, good deal!
@@bierschn 👍
Not this year
@@everythingPattaya Every dark cloud has a silver lining. 🤣🤣
Ask about monthly rent as well, tks
Would really love to see the Junior suite in the Vogue if you could.
Yeah, I should have looked
I stayed at the Vogue for 4n in Oct.Nice decent rooms, good price. But both pools were very murky.I think needed a clean. But still enjoyed my stay.Wifi was hit and miss.
Thank you , enjoy ...
this video make me decide to stay in Vogue hotel for at least 1 week . I will arive there 09-05-24 .Will wright a review later
It would be good to know noise levels also, main roads, loud Bars, and of course how loud is the AC unit as many sound like Jets taking off. If it fills up with tour Bus loads forget it.
Thanks for the research
I stayed in Pailin House
Its the noisiest hotel ive ever stayed in slamming doors people shouting
You can touch the hotel next door from the open corridors and the phones on each floor never stop ringing
Thanks I'm staying at vogue in 2 weeks!

Good Call - would be great Daz if you could show upmarket if you really wanted to have a nice place and impress your guests - 555
i love the way that we can climb from one hotel to another across the railings with the third hotel , but hey its £12 , and you could shake hands with your Neighbours and compare notes with hotel 2 but hey we cant expect much for thb 600 , take it easy daz see you on the next video, any updates on entry requirements for non vaxxed im coming around 3 rd week in oct as i understand it the thais are reviewing the entry requirements on 1 oct is this right
hi daz, any chance of looking at a condo on 3rd road, I think it's called nice place condos. it's by pattaya hospital.
Thanks for showing the great deals on hotels in Pattaya.
On my first visit there in 2019 I stayed at The Drunkin Duck on LK Metro and not knowing I was where the best partying is I went to Walking Street at night when I should have stayed put.
On another note during my entire trip in Thailand ( Bangkok & Pattaya )
I did not use the hotel safes in fear that some employee has to have the master code so I always had all my cash with me and that made me uncomfortable as well.
Do you trust the hotel safes ?
Have you ever heard of anyone having their money come up missing from a hotel safe ?
Thank in advance Steve
Looking good.
The Vogue Hotel looks like excellent value, the barbed wire in the third place was a real turn off, thanks making the effort Daz.
I know it is nice
But does anybody know if they have repaired the wood floors surrounding the pools?
Liked visiting Vogue
The Vogue looked a winner in terms of value for money although there didn’t seem to be many sun beds or much room around the pools and I can imagine it getting very busy if they allow outsiders to use for 50 baht. Although not applicable at this time, the arrival of bus loads of Chinese tourists would be a put off when they return.
Ha ha all following the flags Keef. 😂🤣
@@jimmydempsey6857 yeah can you imagine sitting round the pool having a chill then that lot turned up.
@@keef6586 🤣😂😄😊😀😆
many new places on soi 15 and i coming over in November.
would be good to get an update of what is available.
heard there many new and fantastic places to stay 👍
If this vid had come a week earlier 😆 booked April Suites already. But thanks for the great info all the time. Will remember Vogue Hotel for sure 👍
April suites is far better stayed a couple of times . In fact most of them April may march and August. Always good service and pool area's very quiet
All hotels in Pattaya below 4* level are guest friendly.
I have done many videos on cheaper hotels, just have a look through the channel
@@everythingPattaya It's too many videos and I'm trying to catch up. As I have said, my budget is between 20-25£ a night for 2 weeks. Hope to see you in June
If you stay at the guesthouse’s you can use the vogue hotel pool for small fee 👍
1ST hotel absolutely awesome. Washer / Dryer??
Hotels never have those, only in condos
Never Ben to Thailand. Every hotel across the word I have ever stayed at has always; had onsite washer / dryer. Thanks
I stayed one other guesthouse on that block, may have been Pailin. can't remember for sure now. But be warned, that Soi is very much more busy than it used to be. Traffic goes up to third road.
Vogue looks good did you mention are they guest friendly ??? looks like farmboy2883 did re: Vogue
Yes, they are
good info
That second was good value for what it is, the no fitness room is kind of a bummer but still good
I immediately ruled out the Vogue at 5:17 in the video.
Have to check out those. Always walked past but never asked the price.
Thanks for another great video. How do I find out which hotels do not charge “joiner fees” (ST/LT) looking on Agoda? Also do hotels require deposit (in Baht, US credit card (Visa))?
Only a few 5* hotels charge a joiner fee

Red Planet is $16......@ night.
I'd think he prob spoke very little English, and wasn't the receptionist. I wouldn't be too hard on him
Vogue seems good for the price. I could see where the second pool would be more popular as the first pool you have no privacy right off the lobby.
Vogue and Blueberry are on Booking, indeed.
