The one thing I don't think ppl have appreciated about JJ Redick is that he didn't just go home and vacation after retiring. He didn't detach from the game. He became even more obsessed with it. He studied it even more. He involved himself. His podcasts act as a sort of film room. He was a broadcaster, watching these games. He may not have coaching experience, but he's been as involved with the game as anyone not currently in the NBA. I believe in him.

I got to respect AD more after this. Hearing both Rob and JJ say how involved AD has been in this whole process really lets me know how competitive he is and how locked in he is right now on winning. If this past season he had wasn't enough motivation for a lot of doubters out there, I think this next season will be. AD quietly had a top 10 season in the league and no one said a peep.
I think AD likes that. "Oh yall not giving me my flowers now, just wait and see" He's coming for another monster season bro. And like JJ said, he wants to use him more, especially late game. Good riddance to Ham sanwich, bro was a terrorist for our team

The last few Lakers coaches showed so little ability to adapt to what the opposing team was doing on the court and Ham was one of the worst. There are so many people who have endorsed JJ in such a strong way and Coach K is such a great coach (and I hate Duke). Give JJ a chance for at least two years. That all said, it doesn't matter what JJ does as a coach if the roster is weak. The next 1-2 months is SO important. They have got to add more shooting and big men. If not it's hard to imagine the Lakers can be significantly better than they were last year.

Wtf is JJ talking about Frank Vogel used AD to perfection hints winning a chip in 2020 couldn't done it again if the front office didn't trade away all his defenders

The Vogel championship coach was scapegoated, Darvin was scapegoated, and there were severe roster deficiencies and injuries, plus 19 different lineups. There were some poor decisions, but the players need to own their play as well. AR came out from the beginning to mid-season playing really bad, and DLO, too. If you can't play defense and you're not doing what you're good at, which is scoring, then you need to be on the bench until you do better. Bron took plays off and never got the recommended surgery at the end of last season. He played with a negging foot problem all season. I hope JJ does well, but it's the same roster, so there is no one else to blame.

What a joke, Lakers have egg on their face and are embarrassed from getting snubbed by Hurley and then acting like JJ was the choice all along even though they could have hired him weeks ago and when they had a chance to sign Hurley they dropped JJ like a rotten egg only to slither back to him, Hurley played the lakers like the chumps they are to increase his salary in UCONN, it’s been a great week as a Celtics fan, this is the cherry on top☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️🤣🤣🤣!!!

I doubt it is LeBron so if he can take the call everyone else needs to be taking it with enthusiasm.

You're taken a high school kid in JJ REDDICK and asking him to coach grown men on LeBron James and AD that's like throwing raw meat to a hungry piranha this hire was a bad move I hope I'm wrong but LeBron has a history of not buying into what young coaches are selling I'm given this hire 3 years
