much respect to yur elders for carrying our cultures to the U.S. i wish i have someone to teach me all their skills n knowledge, its a beautiful tradition we need to keep.
nice tune, i just think it cost a lil bit too much. my dad use to sell qeej, the most expensive my dad ever sold is probably 7 hundred.maybe not quit as big but almost the same size.when i have time i'll laod some of my dads qeej playing.
Qeej should be affordable and playable, not to look at only. I hope whoever bought it will play and bring to funeral so people can play too. Congrat!!! but way too expensive for 99% of qeej players.
what the fuck you people talked about? Qeej is unique to our cultural. I may be a girl, but i know how important qeej is to our cultures. 2000 gs for a qeej that big...as long as it sounds good 2 the person. it's his money not urs..so be quite..all. my dad spent..over 20,000 gs for all his qeej and we haven't say a thing.
@hmoobqeej..yog yug nyam qeej taag taag lawm $2000 los yeej zoo tshaaj cov moog siv ib plag tes taag lawm. @calhmoob..no my dad didnt sell this one. He sold the other one that he got it early.
I bought a qeej for $400 and within the next few days the pipe started cracking....the seller advised me to use super glue to cover up the cracks...are you serious?!?

Let's be reasonable here....even $1,000 is overly priced. You pay that much money for an instrument made out of bamboo that can easily crack or break. There is no type of protection you can purchase to protect the instrument when purchased. Not even a warranty that will give you a peace of mind. Hmoob ppl I tell ya... over exaggerated. No disrespect just saying, I play qeej myself too.
