Hey David how you doing this is Daniel from Miami I have a problem at my church my light fixtures are shocking every time I turn it on.. do you have a solution for it?
Call an Electrician - seriously! You probably have a problem with your ground. The only exception is if you are using a scissor lift to access the lights. Many scissor lifts don't discharge static correctly and shocks are a fact of life.
No, some are ETL. If you look around at the market, you will find that less fixtures are UL listed than you would think! You'll find that the big theatrical companies (ETC, Vari-lite) are UL listed, not much else is. Additionally, very few municipalities in the US actually require UL listing, and ETL listed fixtures are safe, but the certification process is WAY less expensive for the manufactureres.
These videos are what I would consider a good try but overly verbose and too often end up stating the obvious such as this sentence: "When you're going for that even wash of light you want to have a backlight wash that's even as well." Just say "both back and front light wash should be even" and move on. Just a suggestion.
