I used an aftermarket Oregon carb once in one of my saws. BIG mistake. The saw would run WOT, but died idling. It also puked quite a bit of fuel out of the muffler. I will no longer use kits made by anyone but the manufacturer of the carb.
@@steveriggenbach90 Ususally the problem is when you use a resistor plug where a non resistor is called for. The voltage across that resistor plug is much lower and you could actually have running issues. I just try to put in the plug the machine calls for. As for static/interference from a non resistor plug, yes that can be an issue.
have a 365 special that i picked up s/h has a warbro carb in it , i keep having to tune it ..should the 2 screws for the jets have springs around them .......they have none on this one .....?
no knocking after market stuff KNOCK the company that calls 2yr old equipment obsolete and you can not get NEW parts...husquie and poulan made by same company...can not get parts for my 2 yr old chainsaw..OBSOLETE..no longer available
Bless Very nice complete video especially the step-by-step repair process. Thanks 🙏

I love your style of videos. The pip. Voice overs are much more informative imo.

One of the best saws ever made, doesn’t need to be in the hands of the owner
They are nice saws for sure.
I've used the China stuff on 4 cycle stuff and had pretty good results but yea 2 stroke stuff seems very hit and miss! Good job!
I'm at about 50/50 with those carbs.
I haven't used many Chinese carbs but I think half of them worked! Holy bucket of carburetors
That bucket is handy when I need a whozitt or whatchamacallit but theres a lot of doubles in there 🙂
Curious what brand & type of red pliers your using for creating gap in between saw case, and cover for fuel lines? Thanks josh
Not sure of the brand but the tool is an exhaust clamp pliers that I modified on the end to make it narrower. Google exhaust clamp pliers.
My luck is 50/50 on Chinesium carbs. Worst I’ve encountered is a cracked plastic float. Remember, Chinesium, where Quality is just a noun!

Yep. 50/50 aren't good enough odds. I prefer OEM stuff.
Great job. Cheap carb cost him a lot. Spark plug just wrong number? Take care.
Ya it was a non-resistor plug.
@@TheGreasyShopRag is the resistor type a huge difference in Canada? Does it affect transmissions?

@@TheGreasyShopRag thanks forgot two things. First about the resistance. Second you’re not up north. Sorry
Another great one! Was just looking at Chinese carbs on Amazon, maybe a false economy by the sounds of it.
Good job neighbor later

Pretty sure they should have springs.
@@TheGreasyShopRag blew off the dust and there are springs ......what model of walbro carb kit did you fit in the video ?
I have same husqvarna same carb.
she start fine, idle fine, engine kit fine,
throttle problems,
she gos fast in top end and no power
I clean the carb same issue,
she miss some more from throttle curve but she go to top end throttle
@@alexharalambie1377 If everything else is fine and a carb adjustment doesn't fix it then maybe you should do a pressure/vacuum test on the saw.
Rebuild the old OEM carbs, there better than Chinese ones
