Too bad you couldn't deliver those letters to their families. I also wish the kill the raiders mission was better. Perhaps rounding up the Minutemen or Brotherhood and bringing law to Nuka World. Or maybe replace the leaders with Synths if you're Institute.

@Jacob St.Clair You fought through the museum without power armor and that was crawling with raiders. Plus, if we get such good protection so early, there isnt much risk. Even on Very Hard difficulty, I wore power armor all the way to diamond city and barely took any damage from the enemies on the way there. On playthroughs without using power armor so early, I struggle to mantain stimpaks on Very Hard. It really seems to me that you dont recognize the value of working to get good things in videogames. You just want the cool helmet that was on the cover of the game, and getting it so early is a good thing to you. In Fallout 3, you have to get a decent way into the game to get the training to wear power armor from what I remember. You know Oxhorn, Nukaworld has a lot of interesting things that are reminiscent of a certain part in a fanfiction that mixes elements from fallout with a popular cartoon of Hasbro toys. It's actually interesting because I think the writer of the fanfiction mentioned she wrote that part from inspiration of the Fallout 3 The Pitt. But here we are with Fallout 4 and a DLC with a theme park based Raider run slaver culture and a very familiar name coming up over the radio? Coincidence or possibly a wink and a nod to a fan?
I actually posted on Bethesda.net long before nuka world was out, I had said how Fallout 4 lacked RPG elements and Missed a chance for a raider faction and taking over the commonwealth and giving a 'raider' styled ending, I had also said about making the commonwealth hate you and you can only buy from raiders, but I was surprised when this was released
What I love about the room where the Raiders shoot you is that, if you shoot back, they say stuff like "Ah! The damn vic shot me!" and then run away, down a stairway and behind a wall outside the Gauntlet, where they vanish. There's a hole in the wall of that room where you can kill them while they run away, too. It's so fun.
It always struck me how similar the gauntlet is to the multi-story car park next to Milton General Hospital; given how it even leads to the hospital via a footbridge and a boarded up door, it makes me wonder if it wasn't originally intended as a gauntlet for the Silver Shroud, on the way to rescuing Kent Connolly, but dropped as a story element in favor of saving it for the Nuka-World dlc. There's even at least one speaker attached to a wall in the garage, suggesting that Bethesda intended for someone to be taunting you as you progressed, and there are a couple of lines of raider dialogue in the hospital that fit as well - something about how you got further than the last guy, I seem to recall.
That first section with the turrets even gave my high-level character trouble. That's why, whenI went through a second time with a lower-leveled character, I had her wear power armor with the "explosive shielding" coating.
It would be more saticfying to have his former listneners all rush to collect the bounty , possibly killing some of their friends in trying to claim the prize. The irony is sweeter. Yes I'm an evil bastard.
And that is the most annoying thing about Redeye, he runs the second you start shooting raiders. He also doesn't have his station anywhere you can get to in Nuka-world so you can't even start with him.
+EJ Red Ooooh, thank you. I haven't finished the Nuka-World arc yet, and having to listen to Red Eye on the radios I pass is driving me nuts. Seriously *(#& annoying guy. I'm definitely spawning him and taking him out. Let's see if he still thinks he's the 'real deal' then. Bwaahaahaa....
I have a couple theories on the characters with foreign accents (i.e. the Bobrov's, Cait, Colter, etc.) They could have somehow managed to travel across the ocean, maybe on boats? But I have no idea what their motivation would be. That's not very plausible to me. Now this is what would make the most sense to me. It's possible that Vault Tec built vaults for people of specific origins, nationalities, ethnicities, etc. We already know Vault Tec would go on to do some weird things, so vaults like this could be one of them. Maybe Colter's family recently left a vault like that. But there's also nothing to indicate that he was once a vault dweller, and same with the Bobrov's and Cait. For my final theory, I'm gonna give you what I definitely think is the truth. Bethesda just wanted to throw in some snappy accents for the hell of it without any lore behind it.
Hey Oxhorn, you've probably found this out by now, or someone probably told you already, but if you wear Kellogg's armor when you go to face Colter he has some unique dialogue for you. It's nothing too fancy, it's just a single line that's different but it's still unique!
My thoughts were immediately drawn to the car garage. I originally thought Colter had made both, but after doing the Milton Garage in my most recent playthrough I realized that the door near the end was opened. But when you check it from the outside it's locked, chained I think and then when you get to it after going through the maze someone opened it, so I think that the person who created the maze was watching you the whole time. (Possibly cut content on encountering them).
I actually had a weird bug in the Colter fight where the game for some reason filled the entire Cola Cars Arena with huge stacks of misc debris, but it was only there in my vision, I could still clip through it. Oddly, it DID count against my VATS chances, so the game considered them real enough that VATS couldn't target Colter through them, but I could walk through them fine. It made it a really frustrating fight, especially with how much he runs around the arena. I had to stay about 5 feet from him or closer at all times, otherwise, I could only infer his location from my radar.
I'd honestly love to see a Fallout that allows us to get to Britain or other places like Canada (Which is part of the USA in Fallout) and beyond see if the bombs affected them quite as badly. Heck even a trip to the other most devestated place from the war "The Chinese Wasteland" We all know that the US and China are the most devistated places on Fallout Earth since we launched a counter attack on them the day the bombs fell and Most of them would of been to places like Hong Kong and such. What is the Wastelands of this world like outside the US boarders?
Oxhorn you mentioned that even BoS soldiers sometimes show up in the Gauntlet later on. Do they have any special dialogue or actions if you've joined them, or moved up to Paladin and Sentinel?
I did the gauntlet at lvl 20 I recommend go slow, use cover, well placed shots, pickmans blade for upclose, and the occasional grenade. got thru just fine.
Whenever I play Nuka World's evil ending, for roleplay reasons, I fill up a box in Fizztop Grill with all the notes and holotapes from the gauntlet. I swear I'm normal.
My Survival playthrough was an exciting romp of mazes and death! Was running a PA build with energy weapons to boot! Was also ripped asunder more than once! XD When I finally managed to scrape together a win and down the SOB, I nearly cried! Watching that first run in to fight him and you just get floored, that was great by the way!
Oxhorn we know that boats work in far harbor so Cait and Colter could've gotten to Boston that way and vertibirds could work in other countries plus there could be some other way they got here who knows this is just my theory also for me my gauntlet was easy since I did a BOS play through and had good gear
I feel like there could have been a side quest where Ophelia’s parents go to Valentine’ and ask for someone to find their daughter. The quest ends when you return her note to her parents
Something about that power armor strikes fear in me. The dull flat rusty junkyard looks make it intimidating. It doesnt look like the power armor you would use a minigun with. It looks like the power armor that you bash skulls with to strike fear in your next enemys heart.
So I’d like to mention that you said Sykes could not be a raider running the gauntlet. However listening to in game dialogue proves otherwise. A random dialogue trigger with the raiders in Nuka-World reads something like this: “Was gonna run the gauntlet to see if I could beat Colter, no point now.” This appears after you beat Colter and become the over boss. I love your videos. Thank you for taking time out of your days to make these and entertain us.
28:13 If I had to pick a favorite Raider Group from Nuka-World, it'd be The Pack. This moment right here cements that. Just hearing the cages rattle, and the maddening howls just gets me HYPE!
Melee builds need a ranged weapon. Even a pistol works. Just for situations where npc's are not reachable. I'm currently running a melee build on survival and my followers are also melee only. It's a new experience for me. And of course the hazmat suit should have protected you from ylthe gas, same with power armor and gas masks, but hey, details...
you can run through the room before any of turrets activate in the first room and in the monkey room you can run through and knock off its head before the turrets activate. in the maze you can jump on top of the basket near the start ( I forgot where) to get on top of the maze wall and skip it in the hanging grenade room you can run through the first section and then shoot one grenade from around the corner to set them all off while being safe. again you can just run in the room with the Raiders on the wires above you. if you have pick mans blade, you can hide in the corners of the room and stab Colter when he gets close then run to the next corner an repeat ( you still have to take down the shield every once in awhile)
I used x-01 power armor and the irradiated super sledge called atoms judgement from far harbor. Combine that with bos military grade weaponry and I wrecked colter.
12:07 I used the turret hack on that computer to take control of the turrets and then activated them. They all recognized each other as enemies and when I finally went through there was one friendly turret left.
is there a code to start caits quest my game glitched and it won't start I have max affinity and even went to the vault to see if the quest would trigger please help

And that is the most annoying thing about Redeye, he runs the second you start shooting raiders. He also doesn't have his station anywhere you can get to in Nuka-world so you can't even start with him.
The only way to meet him in-game is to play on PC and spawn him using console commands
Is it just me or does Porter Gage look, talk and act just like Dennis Hoppers' character "Deacon" in Waterworld?
17:11 That's a really good mutant voice you used
"I stashed a weapon for you to kill this guy in power armor"
"Yes its a squirt gun, I know"
I have a couple theories on the characters with foreign accents (i.e. the Bobrov's, Cait, Colter, etc.)
They could have somehow managed to travel across the ocean, maybe on boats?
There are working boats in Far Harbour so it is possible
Hey Oxhorn, you've probably found this out by now, or someone probably told you already, but if you wear Kellogg's armor when you go to face Colter he has some unique dialogue for you. It's nothing too fancy, it's just a single line that's different but it's still unique!
Cheese Heathen same thing with a vault suit
Caits accent is a north west irish accent
who cares she is hot .

You know you can just turn off the gas in the gauntlet right?
Ravonies Ravenshir, Uh, call me stupid, but, ah, how? I know it's possible, but I can't figure out how, I can't even find something online!
not a lot of point wasting time in that since the only way to advance is gonna be to open that door anyways.
Still...
i fire a single flar right into the stuff as soon as i enter the door then i close the door again to block the fire .
Zansi same thing happened to me. I thought it was because of all the mods I had installed.
I got a glitch that ruined my carryweight when i entered the arena.
There is word of another settlement that needs your help.
Preston Garvey it's not funny anymore
Fuck off Preston!
It's 2017 that joke is dead
Very well I shall raid it at once....... I mean aid it...... That's what I meant..... Yeah.
dead meme, just stop.
Noted: Oxhorn had trouble fighting turrets with Grognak’s Axe
oh man, you missed an opportunity to find out what happens when you go into nuka world before finishing the gauntlet.
I did that. The raiders don’t attack but they don’t talk to you either
17:12 that voice is just so satisfying to me idk why!!!
You sir are an excellent narrator as always.
Unless you’re a Panda, not a red panda!
The ironic thing about Sergeant Marcks. If you complete Open Seasons Red Eye/That Announcer is the only Raider you can't get.
fate the mini gun Is in the nuka cade prize box. level 5
Alan Ryghtworthe no it's not...
Lmao
My Survival playthrough was an exciting romp of mazes and death! Was running a PA build with energy weapons to boot! Was also ripped asunder more than once! XD When I finally managed to scrape together a win and down the SOB, I nearly cried! Watching that first run in to fight him and you just get floored, that was great by the way!
If you kill Harvey, Gage has extra dialogue at the Transit Station, and his dialogue changes on the monorail
Maybe that rabbits foot was Lucky's but was looted by a raider when they went to fix the traps
When he found Corin I thought his name was Corn
When you wanna take the poll but then Todd Howard appears behind you, nibbles on your earlobe, and whispers in your ear "You take that pole big boy"
Explain to me why
Oxhorn we know that boats work in far harbor so Cait and Colter could've gotten to Boston that way and vertibirds could work in other countries plus there could be some other way they got here who knows this is just my theory also for me my gauntlet was easy since I did a BOS play through and had good gear
I feel like there could have been a side quest where Ophelia’s parents go to Valentine’ and ask for someone to find their daughter. The quest ends when you return her note to her parents

Fabian Grujic yes I agree
Me:"Wow, poor Ophelia."
Also me: "Oh, Oh, Ophelia..."
I just ran through the first trap without fighting, but I was level 32
30 is the recommended level
Something about that power armor strikes fear in me. The dull flat rusty junkyard looks make it intimidating. It doesnt look like the power armor you would use a minigun with. It looks like the power armor that you bash skulls with to strike fear in your next enemys heart.
Your videos are to fallout 4 what shoddycast was to fallout 3-NV, speaking of nv glad to see you covering it. Keep up the good work ^^.
I'm in nuka world I am that guy who had his fucking chems stollen
♫ ...some gal'd giggle and I'd get red,
♫ some guy'd laugh'n I'd bust his head.
♫ I tell ya, life ain't easy for a boy named Karen.

If I had to pick a favorite Raider Group from Nuka-World, it'd be The Pack.
I found a rabbits foot for sale at diamond city for 50 caps 🤔.
I used x-01 power armor and the irradiated super sledge called atoms judgement from far harbor. Combine that with bos military grade weaponry and I wrecked colter.
To bad you can't bring Ophelia's letter to her parents or something.
12:07 I used the turret hack on that computer to take control of the turrets and then activated them. They all recognized each other as enemies and when I finally went through there was one friendly turret left.
The gauntlets not hard if you do it at level 152👌
No fair
I would love to have seen more on Red Eye. He was played by Andrew WK and you never get to meet him. So sad.
is there a code to start caits quest my game glitched and it won't start I have max affinity and even went to the vault to see if the quest would trigger please help
far as i remember it started through conversation. only managed to get through the game that far once without game bugging out and that was a year ago.

Craig is like the slow kid in your class that does better on the test than anyone else but still fails.
I like how one of the survivors is a direct Final Fantasy reference (Sabin, power fist and all). Your fallout lore videos are lit. Thanks so much for the sick ass content
Great video today Oxhorn! Was wondering if you could make a video on a profile of Deacon and the fan theory surrounding him that he might be The Lone Wanderer from Fallout 3, from what I've read it seems like a very plausible theory and would be great to see your thoughts on it! :)
16:05 you can actually use VATS to just scout the area, which helped a LOT for my playthrough(MINES 4 DAYS BABEEE)
I beat the gauntlet at level 2 on survival Ox . Stealth does work.
holyshaman MATN did a 'Nuka World at level one' play through.
holyshaman Was it on PC or console? Different systems have different bugs/issues.
+Cruznick06 PC.no buggs involved it was just REALLY hard.well not that I know of.also many people don't know how good explosives are.I almost never. see of use them
holyshaman You cheated.
+Smasho8000. My only cheat is being a beast.Don't believe me? check out Many a True Nerds level 1 Nukaworld run.He must be cheating too.
I removed Overboss Colts eye patch and gave him an Elvis wig and better clothes.
Could you do a profile on Piper Wright?
Oxhorn, I started watching your videos to help me better understand certain details about specific missions, but now I feel bad for all the skeletons and random bodies I find throughout the game lol. Great videos and keep up the good work.
I feel bad that in some videos you'll leave a comment and it gets lost in the sea of comments lol
how the fuck can you be level 19 when nuka starts at lvl 30 and only 30 ? :o
I went here before getting the radio signal. As long as you have it installed, you can do it any time.
Arhg snap! Okay i didn't know that :b
Well.. you learn something new everyday, thanks Ox ;)
doin all of nuka world at level 5 is a good time
If you have the DLC installed, you can start it though I believe it only applies to Far Harbor and Nuka-World
Many A True Nerd does it at level 1 on survival difficulty, its a fun watch
That super mutant voice was amazingly awesome
THREE DOGG OWWWWW, sorry i got excited lol
"Its so rare me and my three characters have never seen it" me: *sweats nervously as I realize I've sold it on my first and only nuka world play through*

Adoniss2yu ok, thanks!
its not from the english "accent"
im english, and i didn't even know about the whole "vic" think
Silver Dash It's not from any accent or dialect. It's just Redeye trying to be cool.
17:12 Nice super mutant voice Ox
Oxhorn there were Irish in Boston so why wouldn’t there be British people y are there Italians becuase Boston was a melting pot
wtf is this sentence
That super mutants impression scared me, it was on point in my opinion.

I love how mad Redeye gets when you lockpick or hack
Fallout Atlantic as the next one? We play a refugee getting from Europe across to the USA?

Great Vid! I think the teenage girl you found in the gauntlet named Ophelia was probably a reference to a song by "The Band" called Ophelia; about a woman of the same name that up and goes missing with no explanation.
WHY DID YOU GO THROUGH THAT AT SUCH A LOW LEVEL
i went through with l l 1237 let's just say I wasn't in a vanilla game
Citos shiny slugger
I went in at level 10 i wanted to do a new buil and i just got the dlc and i realize that the recommended level was 30 + so i leveled up super fast to do it
