I got goosebumps when they said “victory to the slave that runs.”
Lol
[[SPOILER]]Were they referencing Ymir? Cus she ran and fell into the tree trunk to become the first titan
@@shalomantony I honestly don't know. Could be referencing both Eren and Ymir.
It’s both. Eren is a slave to freedom and he’s had to run from the Titan threat until he got the power to gain victory.
Frr
Is it just me or is it brilliant how they made German and Japanese sound so good together

The world itself as Eren desires. Man. Goosebumps.
*laughs in rumbling*
I thought I was the only one haha. Every time I hear that line I get literal goosebumps
Eren: what world?
That line makes me think that they’re trying to say that eren perceives the world different from how it actually is. Like the world appears to him the way he desires, and because the outside people his mother, then he desires them to be enemies, and therefore they are. That’s why he does the rumbling and stuff. Idk if that makes sense or is even remotely correct but hey
😅
“The pawn of liberty”

"the pawn of liberty " are they referencing liberio
Well played isayma, well played
When you read these lyrics, especially after the first verse, you realize this has been a story about Eren all along. Shingeki no Kyojin can be translated as "The Attack Titan." It's all about Eren.
No according to clownsayama it's all about mikasa. Incredible right? Xd

"I Wished for it" (AoT)
"What if I create a crisis, a crisis that destroy humanity" (AoSC)
"I can't take this boring life anymore. I wish something would happen. I want this all to end, this world, I wish for a crisis that would cause the destruction of humanity." (The Gift fanfic)
- Eren Jaeger
Here is a quote I made for Eren: "I am about to destroy the world and kill all of humanity. But then I choose do this, I wanted this. Was it for the sake for Paradis? Was it for my friends to live a good life if they were to stop me? Was it for own selfish dream of freedom? None of them, it was my pathetic and naive dream from my own world and that was the true main reason.

“Have peace as livestock, live in false prosperity, and be free as starved wolves!” Has a bigger meaning now.
fr lol, seems like the singers of aot got spoiled even before the manga readers
Ahhhh can you explain the meaning?? I’m so bad at connotations
It has bigger meaning in real world too as most of population are just sheeple and our lives controlled by governments and corporation companies
The opening were telling us the ending and we didn't notice lol
@@ashlynicorn1012 The entire story of AOT started because a slave girl let out some livestock to be free.

wow thanks :)
It definitely is
Surely
Totalmente de acuerdo
Absolutely. Only one tiny thing. "Die Jäger" translates to "hunters". "Der Jäger" would be "hunter". German is really confusing sometimes...
The whole story already spoiled in this song 10 years ago and we didn't know it. WELL PLAYED ISAYAMA
Masterpiece 🔥
Exactly!
Ikrrrr
That’s a masterpiece right there!👏🏻
10 years....at least
The "the world itself as Eren desires" is written in Japanese as "the boy of that day” who desires the world and it is sung as "Eren". I think this shows that nothing has changed in Eren's essence from the time his mother was killed to the time he was rumbling world. I wanted to introduce the depth of these lyrics to everyone overseas.
2:11 - 2:44
It's all connected together. All of this is Eldia's struggle against aggresion of Marley, and when the German part plays, it's about Eren and the Survey Corps invading Liberio in Marley, hunting their militants and Titan Shifters.
Insane plot point
Spoilers!!!!
Plus the “crimson arrow” and the “draw yourself into your arrow! Go fourth and pierce through everything” is probably about Ymir.
Coming back after the finale. Thank you, Isayama-san... And to the boy who sought freedom, goodbye....
High ref to Armin when he said that to annie
Thank you Eren for becoming a mass murderer for our sake!
I got curious and searched uo the lyrics and oh boy does this forshadow Eren's whole character arc like crazy:
-like the whole german part in the middle is all about Eren
-"The stolen lands, the world itself as Eren desires."
"An unstoppable rage penetrates him to the dusk he brings violet skies."
Like cmon🤷

I met someone once whose biggest complaint about AOT was that it didn't have memorable music 🤣😂🤣 dude had to have been deaf

“The humiliation of entrapment is our cue to counterattack” goes so hard. I miss when the scouts were the heroes of the people, fighting in humanity’s darkest hour against the evil titans
I mean, it still holds true until right at the end of the series when they're fighting the wall titans and Eren himself.
Armin and the others embodied the scouts, and well, still were them.
You know... I am SO glad they said EREN in this song, all these fucking music tracks made for TV that prioritize vagueness so as to make the song sellable on the radio or whatever or to make it generic to just be a random tune. People looking into meaning in the song to place it outside the context of the show, but no, this show just straight references the main fucking character in a way that makes no fucking sense unless you've actually seen the show! I like that about this song, it's small, but I really like it.

Anyone get massive season 3 vibes or just me?
I mean, the fifth opening is literally called "the Path of Aspirations and Corpses" and talks about "the path of corpses" at least twice per chorus

the world itself as eren desires, i am literally crying
Man after this lyrics video I was surprised bcuz I always sang this part 1:02 as " Dancing in the hallway , calling you mum gay , she says you are heeeeroooo" 😭😭 why my lyrics always are wrong plzz kill me
I haven't listen to this in a long time and I still memorized the whole lyrics.
"the boy from the back will soon take up the sword" and he really did in s4
Can you kindly explain... I can't connect anything with this line
The line vaguely references how Eren, influencing himself, got himself to start the Rumbling by making him interested in fighting the Titans. That is, Eren “from back then took up the sword” to stop titans because 19-year-old Eren set up 15-year-old Eren to be like that.
The "Woah ohhh" (vocals) at the start is legendary
3:50 is the start of the foreshadow 🗿
This song is from eren's pov. Real actual foreshadowing starts from 3:17 in german and describes what eren will do.
I'm literally speechless how meaningful it is...

Omg if we studied the lyrics in season 1 we'd know the whole story 💀💀💀
The lyrics would mean nothing without context, it wouldve been impossible to decipher what it meant back then
It would still come off as “Eren is going to kill all the titans”, not “Eren is going to kill 80% of all humanity to secure freedom for all Paradisians”.
