Imagine being so ineffective as a government that your own senior citizens have to die fighting criminals.
It’s tough when drug cartels make so much money. Just consider yourself lucky you live in America (I’m assuming). Drug cartels have been estimated at making up to 25% of the entire Mexican GDP. That’s without having to worry about providing any of the services a government provides.
There beginning to run the towns in America too. At least the places where they don't have stand your ground laws.
What do you think the 2nd amendment is for?
Imagine a government so ineffective that its citizens were goated into attacking federal building to the point they killed federal guards and citizen was shot in face trying to break in window. Just saying. But you are right and we must not forget that we all have a part in being good citizens. Shame so many innocent people died. And lives ruined.
Imagine being so ineffective as a government that they still can't run democratic elections without millions of them convinced it was fraudulent.
Imagine your entire criminal empire brought down by a man because one of your men told his son he couldnt pick limes
there's a lot of bullshit in this video, just keep that in mind lol...don't believe everything some random narrator says in a video..
that's a funny take but there's obviously a lot more to that. it could've been months or years that went by.
@@matul3808Damn, so the son came back every month or year and was told he wasn't allowed to do an honest job like picking limes. That's messed up.
@@mrdude88 not all cartels sells drugs, in michoacan some cartel, stole other farmer land, and sell their harvest, like lime or avocados
@@charlymrivera7236 i think what you mean is not all cartels JUST sell drugs, but they also branch out
The government could send several thousand soldiers,to take out a father avenging his son,but not to keep law and order for the citizen who can't defend themselves.
The army works to protect the cartels and rob poor people, they arent a real army, just a bunch of cowards that work for money
Corruption. They get waaaay too much money under the table to fight with organized crime seriously.
There's a very simple explanation: the government is corrupt.
most cartels are owned by the government so they decide who stays and goes
Issue is no government cares about the people.
That last guy was a Warrior. When you get older that bullying catch up with you, it gotta be a movie out about him
He had to inspire the latest Rambo movie
He got a movie on netflix .
It has a mexican "El norte sobre el vacío "

Also I already know something COULD be done about the cartels... it was done in the past.
The US came in to mexico and completely nuked a cartel. They had almost taken over all of mexico.. the other cartels were in hiding expect 1 in the south west of Mexico that was still trying to put up a fight.

Much, much more than a 1v6. This makes it even more impressive.
Damn and not only 1 vs 6 but he did it with hunting rifles not ar 😮
Thats how cartel were made, people uniting to protect themselves and ending up creating a gang never ending cycle
It's pretty sad because you're exactly right.
What is worse, why my knowledge of Mexico history is lacking, basically one things come to mind.. They have like a century of different rulers who were basically not much better, and sometimes much worse then today's cartel bosses..
So like an army for the people but gets corrupted from the inside.

@@luiswonder2101that is the dumbest comment ive ever seen 😂 the only reason why the DEA is having a hard time and couldnt do sht is because of the Mexican government covering the cartels lmfao all of these massacres are everywhere and nothing is being done, that in it self is enough evidence on whats really going on, blaming America for this is so stupid and makes 0 sense i hope the US shuts down the border again or just go to war, since Mexico is more interested in defending criminals and having “peace treaties “ after their innocent citizens are butchered in broad daylight, how a government allowed this type of group to exist or even grew is beyond comprehension

@@frankfixitnow I'm seeing things like this violence happen a lot in the US. Saddens me to say, but we are headed there if not already. We can change presidents all we want, the policies usually remain the same. We've had several mass shootings, violence and crime keeps going up like crazy and they're doing the exact same thing as in Mexico: letting the criminals out almost immediately. Ridiculous. The ending implies that either the guy took his own life or died to his injuries after the adrenaline wore off after the gunmen left, or the gunmen had already taken him out but expected more bullets and left anyway
He might've been hit in the midst of the hours long gunfight but didn't even realize until the adrenaline wore off and he bled out. Any person with enough adrenaline can keep moving and fighting even with a rifle wound in them.
@@darius3566 You say he didn't even realize. Does that mean adrenaline is so effective that it pretty much gets rid of all the pain entirely for it's duration?
@@VoidExileYTyes. If that interests you, look up hysterical strength. There’s this story of a mom that lifted her car with one hand to get her child stuck under the car with the other hand.
It is not told on the video, but don Alejo was found in a bathroom with multiple grenade and shot wounds, holding to his shotgun. While two cartel members were found in front of the door (those that were found unconscious) So I'm assuming that after the adrenaline was wearing down and he was no longer able to run, he hid himself in the bathroom to ambush any cartel member that tried to get in, those got into the house and got shot, so after hearing the shots and not seeing their partners get out, the rest of the cartel members fled.

Almost all of the people who stood up against these cartels got killed. This shows how useless South American governments are. Of what use is it to send any military force against cartels only as long as the people trying to fight them are alive? It was almost as if they only came to make a show of action, but usually did nothing. When the person who actually fought got killed, action against the cartel's stopped. In other words, in most of these cases, the cartels won. The cartels lost members, but only in the case of the DEA agent did they ultimately lose leaders, or were in any serious way given trouble.
I'm glad there are people out there that actually stand their ground and counter these criminal organizations

- they all died
- nothing really changed after all
Yeah
I just want to point out,
-it spread awareness and certain level of prevention against cartels
-multiple members of cartels ended up locked up or dead.
- a lot of things changed even as close as 5 years ago. Have some hope. Your ancestors didn't just lay their heads on a piece of Wood and waited to be beheaded just because there were dangerous people. Think of it another way, if just any of those people in the video could cause serious trouble to cartels, imagine what many people could do if we joined our heads together. Cartels ain't going to last forever but if everyone adopts your mindset nothing is going to be done about cartel crimes.
~they made a loud statement before their death instead of succumbing to the evil and accepting it.
~ they left a legacy of fearlessness and bravery behind for others.
~ death became irrelevant when the cause was perceived to be much greater than themselves. Think of it as going to war against a malevolent force that murdered your daughter, wanted to steal your livelihood (farm), your home you lived in for decades and leave you with nothing like a beggar on street…
~they exposed weakness amongst the cartels …something not easy to do especially for one person. The last guy had a multiple hour gunfight with an entire team of killers, got 6 of them, and scared the rest off while protecting his home.
As far as long term change, the Mexican and US governments working together have not achieved that. These individuals probably caused more uproar in their microcosms than any big drug bust or arrest will ever
do for a larger scale. Mora created his own autodefensas group and many more (a lot them farmers) were formed in the wake of people fighting back and getting fed up of being bullied. Some go corrupt but many are still out there fighting for the good. People are realizing they can fight back. It’s not an automatic win, but it’s still positive change imo. Life isn’t a Hollywood movie where everything ends happily so the audience can go home satisfied.
@@WastingYourTime-lq3md i dont know man.. but i get u
@@godfreyodenigbo95 UA-cam deleted my comment but i get your perspective too. I was just trying to play devil’s advocate. Death becomes irrelevant when the cause you are fighting for is believed to be greater than you. Think of it as going to war against a malevolent force that killed your daughter, tried to take your livelihood (farm) or your home, leave you with nothing etc. The last guy was almost 80 years old and scared off an entire group of killers, taking out 6 all by himself while protecting his home in a multiple hour long gunfight. I am sure you can see honor in that as he made the big bad cartel look weak and penetrable. As far as change the emergence of autodefensas groups like Mora’s became more common which is for the most part positive (some do become corrupt). People are fighting back. Besides, as far as long term radical change goes, not even the US and Mexican gov working together have managed that so far. Drugs will keep going up to the US and American firearms will keeps going down to MX in-the very hands of the enemy they are fighting. The two countries are like a dysfunctional, codependent couple together and there is way too much money involved for this to stop.
Last guy should get a Civilian Medal of Honor. Defending his home in his own country against terrorists

Everyone in these stories are so moral and not underhanded at all. Like, Everyone! That place is awesome!
some of these stories would make a powerlfull movie
The brave and deadly are admired and respected, where as the corrupt, weak, or cowardly are despised. 🤨
The sad thing is only one of this stories had a decent ending. Everybody else died the same way, or probably just made a dent at the cartel.
What show did you use for the last part
You make the Autodefensa movement sound like a noble attempt at combating the "Cartels" instead of a response by dozens of separate traffickers who were forced to align- Mora among them- to stop dozens of other traffickers taking over under Menchos loose umbrella, and persuading Michoacanos that they were the lesser of evils. The people in these regions had no choice but to choose between the old guard and a terrifying new invader. The Santana brothers didn't form Los Viagras after Moras death, they existed long before that as muscle for hire- they worked as killers for Los Zetas ffs- and they succeeded in infiltrating the rebellion for their own gain. Michoacan and Guerrero just can't be analysed from the US perspective of cops vs traffickers.
