Heaven only knows how good this will go when I try it on my new 2017 F150, but this (and a couple of your other videos) are by far the most detailed and helpful that I've seen, so thanks!
Great video. I tried installing a hood strip on my car last year and it went pretty well until I got to the front "lip" downward edge of the hood. This really clears up what needs to be done to get this to work properly, and in what order to "attack" the application. THANK YOU!
Great video. I have a 2008 Silverado with the same hood configuration and will be replacing one that was on my hood when I bought it in 2009. Hope I get it to look as good as your. Great to know how to handle all of the different angles and dips the hood has!
great video! thx for sharing...my question is.....Can this be applied by a beginner? is it fool proof....just picked up a 2017 Dodge Ram last week...would love to attempt...can u give some info on prices & where to purchase...thanks -Rob
Paint Protection Film would help protect the paint under your fender flares. However, that area gets hit a lot, so you would likely need to replace the material every so often.
We use a private labeled film, which is excellent and can be bought on our site installproz.com other films that you can't go wrong with include llumar, xpel, and 3m.
Not hard. Just warm it up with a heat gun or hair dryer and pull it at a 90 degree angle away from the paint. If any adhesive is left behind, you can clean it off with alcohol and water or an adhesive remover like this amzn.to/2CxiKUr

Great, detailed video! The one thumbs down is probably from an installer who just lost my business.
Thank you Doug!
Doug Stucki thank you! We are glad you found it beneficial.
Very good tutorial I hesitated doing it myself but you just showed me I should. Question, what size is this piece you put on the hood? Thanks a lot
This piece is 18" wide by 90" long

Dude, thank you for this video. You have a talent for teaching!
Thank you 🙂
Great video. One suggestion is a hair dryer helps to accelerate the tack process especially for edges.
Aint his first rodeo! Nice job, thanks for the tips!
Thank you 😊
Can you do a video on protecting a fender on a truck? My wheels poke out a little and i want to protect the wheel wells. Thanks!
Yes, we will put this on our list of videos to make. Thank you for your comment.
Thank you my friend. Greeting from Bulgaria.
I was thinking that this material would help protect paint under fender flares on a 4x4 truck. Do you think its durable enough?
Paint Protection Film would help protect the paint under your fender flares. However, that area gets hit a lot, so you would likely need to replace the material every so often.
When do you use the soapy water, and when do you use the alcohol/water??
What brand of clear film are you using? Which ones are the best yet ones too? Thanks

My car has a chrome strip in front of the bonnet. What would you do? Thank you.
Very nice explanations.
Thank you 😊
How hard is to remove the film, without damaging the paint?
Not hard. Just warm it up with a heat gun or hair dryer and pull it at a 90 degree angle away from the paint. If any adhesive is left behind, you can clean it off with alcohol and water or an adhesive remover like this amzn.to/2CxiKUr
Thank you so much for the video!

75% water and 25% baby shampoo??? thay seems like a lot of babu shampoo is that correct
the isopropyl alcohol/ water solution is 75% water 25% alcohol. The baby shampoo mixture is 1 oz baby shampoo to 24 oz of water.
How noticeable is the edge on top of the hood?
It is not very noticeable at all. Unless you are looking for it, you would not likely see it.
