This is an original tag created by Melinda @awebofstories
I was tagged by @BookChatWithPat8668 . Melinda writes, "There are a lot of things we are told we shouldn't do as readers and, honestly, those things really aren't bad!"
Prompts:
1. Do you dog-ear your books?
2. Do you annotate your books?
3. Do you roll covers or break spines when you read?
4. Do you listen to something while you read?
5. Do you read in the bathroom?
6. Do you read in water (such as in the bathtub, in a pool, etc)?
7. Do you DNF?
8. Do you ever read ahead or skip to the end of a book?
9. Are you book-polygamous (i.e., read more than one book at a time)?
10. Do you own more books than bookshelf space?
BONUS: Do you ever take a book without leaving a book at a Little Free Library?
11. Tag some people.

“Unsettled” is such a gentle phrase…my sense of panic….
A little of that too...
@@JamesRuchala ♥️ These are difficult times.
Hey James, I know how you feel. I've been a bit down myself. I hope things turn around for our society in the near future!
Thanks Omar! Hoping and voting's what we have left.
Unsettled here as well. You are not alone!
Thanks for watching! Oy.
It really is that bad. I've been feeling sick all day. Sorry. Thanks for doing the tag, though. Your answers were great.
Thanks for watching and tagging, Pat.
I didn't think I could be more concerned about the future of America after January 2021, but here we are... On a brighter note, I'm enjoying your Proust updates.
I can relate to your Supreme Court blues!
But managed to enjoy your video.
Thanks for watching!
The sight of a snoozing Louise under a reading lamp is an island of calm in these rough seas. And you said some good stuff too. Hang in there friend. 💛
Thank you! She is comforting
Thanks for tagging me! That's gotta be the calmest poodle in the world I see behind you. Haha
Thanks. Louise is 12 years old, so she's slowed down a bit.
@@JamesRuchala Sweet baby! I grew up with a standard poodle and am saving up for a miniature now!
@@strangementalitypaperYT Great dogs. She's my first dog and getting to know her has been one of the best experiences of my life.
@@JamesRuchala Do you have a link to her breeder? It was a long time ago, but I'm wondering if they're still breeding. Your girl looks very healthy, especially for her age.
@@strangementalitypaperYT they retired from breeding and moved away a few years after we got Louise.
Good one, James. Thanks for cheering me up, a wee bit 😅 Reading some Proust, ah? 😊 I heard you play a _mean_ banjo? 😂
Thanks Allen. I do play banjo! It's one of my favorite things
@@JamesRuchala Just got done practicing new guitar ☺
@@bighardbooks770 Yeah, you're a Les Paul guy now, eh
@@JamesRuchala It's an LP copy, but yes 😉
Good answers! Is it that bad? I dunno.
Thanks David. Up is down today!
Oh, bad and baffling...current events, that is! Not this tag.
Thanks for watching, Priscilla. I'm a fan of your channel, by the way.
Politics is a dirty game. The President has the power to use the military. Not an ordinary position. Should have never have asked the question they already knew the answer too if they did not want to know that answer. Might have to beat the guy at the ballot box after all. All this stuff is important obviously but the birds still sing either way.
Thanks. Yes they do.
Is it so bad that I think Boomers will live in infamy if they don't clean up this mess that they have made (before they die in infamy)? They have three generations of descendants watching their shame. Dammit.
Yeah. I've never felt so bad about a SC story maybe ever, and I can't seem to shake it. Shameful!
@@JamesRuchala Am planning to stay mad. Got Ralph Nader on the shelf; On Citizen Action and Social Change; Democratic Revolution in an Age of Autocracy; TV News Failing in its Mission. Dammit, I had planned on some Bronte for my birthday and only being mad at Jane Austen.
@@PatriciaCrabtree-wm8xd Well, move over Jane Austen, here's DJT! that at least made me laugh.
I never understood how anyone could read at the beach. Too many distractions, notably of the female sort.
Hah! And the glare, and the noise, and other' people's radios....
@@JamesRuchala "Blame it on Rio" :)
@@LibroParadiso-ep4zt Turn down that Duran Duran tape--I'm trying to read Proust over here.
@@JamesRuchala "Girls on Film" the unrated, extended video "Like, for sure, for sure!"
