    My wife got me this guitar as an early Christmas present (I know she's ace!) I can't rate this guitar enough! Gorgeous sound and really nice to play. Very well made guitar, I'm so pleased with it!!! I was initially looking at getting a Taylor 200 series, baring in mind the 200 series and below are not solid wood, they are ply backed and the epiphone is all solid mahogany back and sides, but is a fraction of the price of a Taylor, so it was a no brainer really....amazing guitar, feels like £1000 acoustic guitar.

    I have this system in my Epi but without the nano mag.
    I love the system. The nano flex is extremely fragile and I have replaced it once due to my careless handling, but I’d love to have it in all my acoustics as they do not sound as good plugged in with their standard piezo under saddle. I am unable to record acoustic with a microphone due to lack of absolute silence. With this system once I found the right settings in my DAW I have the freedom I need to record anytime I need to no matter how much environment noise is around me and have that natural acoustic sound.
    I have done extensive research online and watched many reviews of other available systems and none of them give this kind of freedom with a natural sound. Period. But be forewarned if you plan on fiddling with the nano flex strip you may very well break it easily. They are not junk, just fragile. I’m very glad I bought this guitar as I had no idea what it can do, I just liked the body of the guitar. I am pleasantly surprised.

    I have both the ej200sce and the DR500mce and they are both well worth the money.They are quite different from each other in that the 200 is ,to my thinking,more useful plugged in and the 500 , while excellent amped sounds better unplugged than the 200 because of it's solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides.The 500 has open 18-1 tuners which are more sensitive and stay in tune somewhat better than the 200 with it's 14-1 set-up.some have commented that the action is a problem and for $50 or so a guitar tech will set the action for you.There's nothing worse than starting out trying to play with strings way too high off the fretboard. Epiphone is doing some things VERY well , especially for the price point.

    I have found that when I plug the jack from the nano mag into an electric amp and the jack from the nano flex into an acoustic amp that the slider Blender Control doesn`t stop the nano mag from working when the slider is at the full nano flex position... shouldn`t the nano mag stop when the slide control is at the full nano flex position even when the 2 jacks are in separate amps ? The stereo Jack strap seems to give independant control of the two pickups .

    I got one of these last week, same sunburst finish. Initially, I didn't want that finish, but I couldn't pass up the used price. It plays great, sounds great and now that I have it, I think I prefer the sunburst finish. I haven't gotten around to plugging it in yet and have only played it acoustically, but it sounds so good. I have a herd of guitars and I suppose I could have paid more for a Martin, Taylor, Gibson whatever, but I gotta say, I think I'm just as happy with this. I'm always amazed at how good some of these more reasonable guitars play and sound

      +flwolf2000 I don't know if you ever fixed this. Perhaps it's something simple: Pull out the battery with its plastic holder. Look inside the eSonic. See if the contacts are correctly positioned. For the coin-type batteries, sometimes their metal contacts are pushed back over time and it doesn't touch the battery.

    I just bought the EJ-200SCE with the eSONIC 2. I have some real concerns. When plugged into the mono I get a hum that goes away when I touch the stereo plug. Also when I slide all the way to the left, (nanomag) I have no sound to my amp.
    Also, when I plug into the stereo I don't have any hum but when I slide all the way to the right,(nanoflex) I get no sound to my amp. and the tuner does not seem to work well. I really love the guitar. I had to spend some time lowering the action and don't want to send it back to MF. Help!!!!!!

    • @Hapax007
      @Hapax007 7 років тому +1

      I have this guitar also. Plays and sounds great, only complaint is the Nanomag pickup - If I plug 1/4 inch jack into the second input, I get a lot of noise along with the guitar output, so it's basically useless. My guitar tech won't touch it without $100 up front for parts, ( not including labor ) so, I just use the single output. Not much to say about the " stereo " sound you are supposed to get.
