I was also, referring to stereotypical romance, which we tend to be ingrained with, by society. It's shallow and superficial though, and as soon as people don't get their fix, because it's ego based and not rooted in actual love, the people then feel victimized and disempowered. It's unhealthy af. And not real. It's literally programmed into our mind. It's not heart centred. And tends to be extremely materialistic and conditional. Just as people tend to give their power away so readily and allow themselves to be unhappy, because they are programmed to respond in ways which cause us to have conditional "happiness". Just so that we can play the role as victim and point fingers, blame others for how we feel when Literally it's OUR feelings, OUR interpretation, OUR triggers, and our responsibility tbh, and we could technically feel good because we deserve unconditional happiness and to just feel good wtf. But anyways yeah what we have been programmed to believe is romantic, is superficial and not real and it's unhealthy tbh. It's not our own, it's been put into the psyche as "how to be" and people tend to not much go within and, being interested in actual freedom within, feel into what they'd really like to be like, what they value, how they'd love to interpret, what is meaningful, healthy, conducive to well being and thriving exponentially...
Instead we just let ourselves be a slave to socially acceptable psychosis, and however other people are being or not being.

I was again also in that instance in the comment above, referring to romance itself, the ideal, which is whack and toxic, and didn't refer to their relationship.
Although that obvs is technically toxic as well, we are seeing. And it comes from the person themselves having toxic ideals and traits which don't best serve in the highest, with love, etc. Which includes any nonsense of getting back at people and all that.
You aren't going to ever have a properly healthy, uplifting, truly loving situation if you don't interpret from that space, show up as such, etc. It'll come round and eff you up.
