I just wanna say, I know this is for teaching and showcasing, which you do a wonderful job of here… but I just clicked this wanting to listen to something nostalgic and sweet to cheer me up on an extremely difficult day. And you did manage to do that for me here 🥰 Your rendition makes me happy. Thank you 🙏💙
I fail to understand why everyone plays this ragtime so fast where even says in the title itself « slow drag ». Frankly, this rag really deserves to be played slowly, it’s beautiful when played slowly. Imho Scott Kirby plays it at the perfect tempo
Another rag played amazingly by you. Im just getting into ragtime, so I will learn Elite Syncopations, this, then Magnetic. I will definitely use your videos :)
Great performance of a great piece! I found your channel while looking for this piece and yours is the best by far. I’m learning this awesome obscure Joplin piece now but I’m only at quarter note = 60. Hopefully I will be able to play at your tempo in the not too distant future. What’s the recommended tempo that I should strive for? Thank you. And I just subscribed to your channel too!
Another nice Joplin rag at a decent tempo, very enjoyable!
Love that ragtime piano....

Thank for the feedback... I’ll check out the Scott Kirby version and maybe redo it at some point

Don’t. The title is « slow drag » for a reason.
Amazing , do you think this rag is hard ? if compared with other joplin pieces such as maple leaf
Definitely not as hard as maple leaf rag, but still hard, once you've played enough rags, you can get his rags enough in two weeks or less
This sounds like inkwell1 from cuphead
