- Love to watch the grunts and spectres go at each others throats? Or you didnt even realise they could even do that? well then here is your opportunity to see them in action with Close Quarter Combat. Like my previous videos these are exclusively Titanfall 1 grunts and spectres only
Enjoy the mayhem and my memory lane.
The artstyle, interactivity of the maps and the multiplayer campaign make me miss titanfall 1. Sure Titanfall 2's singleplayer campaign is incredible, the same can be said for the movement, but I really hope they look back to tianfall 1 if they ever decide to make another sequel.

Titanfall2 MP was a huge improvement but Titanfal1 was more cinematic

I really appreciate Respawn not just having the person be in the same position in the first scene. I remember playing this mission a while back and being the dude on the right hanging on with just his arms' perspective. It was sick as fuck.
It was so memorable when you would get a certain perspective for the first time
TF1 had a lot more interactions between grunts and spectres and it made it feel like the battlefield was a lot more alive
There still are interactions in TF2, it’s just really hard to see when the movement is so fast.
For example, when you hack spectres in multiplayer attrition in TF2, the whole group is hacked and follows you around. You just rarely notice it because pilots are so fucking fast.

Spectres had a little more of a focus in 1, in 2 they're more of an afterthought.
Spectres will always be my favorite Titanfall ground units

Why the hell were the grunts so badass in Titanfall 1 lmao
tbf, pilots in titanfall 1's era didn't know how to slide so the pilots(players) here are just seeing the grunts doing their work. kinda hard to see it when most of the time in titanfall 2's era pilots are usually in the air not caring about them.
@@chestertamayo1894 also grunts in the first game could use rocket launchers to attack titans and move onto rooftops for a tactical approach.
@@guardsmen6274 I think TF2 Grunts still use Rocket Launchers but only one guy will and he doesn't fire too often so he usually gets squished.
Grunts overall were also way more accurate and did way more damage in TF1. It was very much not rare to get finished by a group of grunts right after a close call with another pilot

I personally miss the more gritty aesthetic of Titanfall 1 Then the more cartoony look of Titanfall 2
I feel like cartoony is the wrong word, but definitely lacks the grit the first game had.

I like the more grand beautiful environments in Titanfall 2 but I agree that the grit is a bit lacking. If they can find the perfect balance in Titanfall 3 that would be crazy!
Titanfall 1: Your straight entering a warzone where everything is gone to shit
Titanfall 2: Your in new territory and the frontier, and there still some shit your gonna deal with

First person animations for Titans really need to come back.
Ogre executed so hard, the simulation ended in Titanfall 2 instead.
I liked the grunt design for TF1 more than 2 but the spectres we're better in 2

Titanfall 1 made you feel like a grunt.
Titanfall 2 made you feel like a super soldier.
Both are great.

In titanfall 1 you can two shot a titan with an archer. Titans are weak AF
@@misscath28 they have 2,000 less HP than the TF2 Titans. The Archer was a new weapon at the time of the first game.
@@Goofyahh1337 I did reinstall the game. Archer about three to two shots titans in TF1 in TF2 it takes a bar a shot. So as low as 4-5
@@misscath28 I’m sure they might’ve nerfed it when putting it in the second game. The wiki states the HP values as: 5,500, 8,000, and 10,500. 2,000 less than the second game’s Titans.

The thing here it's the way you see them: In titanfall you see them in first person, so the inmersion never ends, and that, that's priceless
Yeah getting to watch you grabbing the enemy as he or she dies in your Titans hand is just something else
tf2 still has better pilot and titan executions, but the fact those were first person in tf1 makes it seem like it could've been better. tf1 definitely has better grunt and spectre executions though because they actually interact with the map to some degree. in tf2 (afaik at least) executions are only ever 1 on 1 but in tf1 there are some 2v1 executions by grunts and spectres can slam a grunts skull into a nearby wall. they don't do that in tf2.

I love how respawn only focused around the story and animation of all 3 games, and dont get me started on the mechanichs and artstyle

@Skinny Jeeves the IMC Demeter intro is probably the coolest thing ive seen in a multiplayer match of a videogame ever.

@@LoupAndLoup it was just a multiplayer playlist, but it had different gamemodes and story dialogue to listen to while you played. Every campaign mission had an intro sequence where the characters would explain why they were fighting that particular battle. It was pretty cool, although i wish it had a single player campaign as well. Maybe titanfall 3 could have both?

I want more animations like in TF1, but more drawn out like how the Bus Fight Scene was from the Nobody Movie, Like seeing the guy who gets thrown over the shoulder in the 2V1 Animation survive that, but struggle to get up and after he might get executed or whatever would be sick as hell.
Plus a Dynamic/Semi-Dynamic Animation Set for when a Pilot takes out a enemy they were fighting with in CQC, So a Grunt who is on the Floor, stays on the Floor and starts to slowly get up and get his Gun or Whatever from the Floor before continuing on like Normal, instead of just SPRINGING into the air to the default idle pose/position after the enemy gets killed mid-fight animation.
Miss this game back in thr days before tf2
I just put a side to side comparison of Titanfall 1 and Titanfall 2 grunt executions and I think Titanfall 1 is a lot better
And thinking that this game was a 5 year step from Apex Legends still surprises me

Multiply player. Wich includes Titanfall 1 campaign. It's basically a "mixed" game mode with modifiers, in game cutscenes and events happening as you play. Each map in the playlist had it's own cutscenes/intros depending on faction and if you won or lost. As well as stuff happening to the map itself. Demeter is the last map of the playlist, a finale.

honestly the Titanfall 1 "campaign" was very good and a cool concept, however titan fall 2's campaign is even better with the added bonus of it being single player instead. I think combining the two would be the best situation in TF3. because both work its just that a single player campaign is better
Someone should release a mod for this if possible on the PC version that fakes being in server to allow for single player play
AI was much better in prev game
@Not a weeb In my opinion it is their interactions with the other ai, pilots, titans and the environment as well as the voice lines were better. 2 grunts can have a discussion about seeing someone blown up with a 40mm shell in TF1 plus they thank you for rescuing them if an execution animation is playing where they would die. I personally prefer the look of them as well, more worn and grimey. Remember all of these are my opinion, thank you for coming to my ted talk.
