You said that the pressure wave velocity in pipe is equal to speed of sound, so shouldn't we take speed of sound as 1435 m/s (in water) and NOT IN AIR?
If we make a loop of pipe made of copper in a staircase modal and it can rotate like sunflower so we got hot water through out the day How you see this project as an engineer?
Flowrate can be increased with same Internal diameter of different material like PVC pipe and other is mild steel pipe. Like PVC pipe has less relative roughness so flow rate can be increased or more than mild steel pipe.even we use same id for PVC and mild steel. For mild steel flow rate will be less with same id since it has more relative roughness. You can see chart provided by manufacturer while selecting pipelines.
