    The Last Ninja is a Action-adventure computer and video game published by System 3 in 1987 for the Commodore 64 were it made its mark. As first in series, it set the standard for the look and feel for its sequels of Last Ninja 2: Back with a Vengeance (1988) / Last Ninja Remix (1988) and Last Ninja 3: Real Hatred is Timeless (1991).
    Last Ninja was the most successful original game ever on the Commodore C64. In Europe the sales for the C64 version alone were in excess of 750,000 units and international multi-format sales exceeded 2,000,000 units. It won almost every award available and was critically acclaimed everywhere as an original, ground-breaking game. There is no C64 gamer that has not heard of Last Ninja. Even today, people still talk about the impact it had on the gaming world..
    These other format conversations were published by Activision in 1987 for Apple IIGS and in 1988 on the Atari ST, MS-DOS. Superior Software published the conversations for BBC Micro, Acorn Electron and Acorn Archimedes / RISC OS. In 1990 is was retitled as Ninja Remix and published by System 3 for Amiga, the same year as its Last Ninja 2: Back with a Vengeance conversion. The ZX Spectrum version never appeared despite been advertised and releasing all the follow ups in The Last Ninja series.
    Many people regard this game as a cutting-edge masterpiece on so many levels due to the atmospheric mood set by the distinct oriental music to outstanding gameplay with great character and graphical animations.
    The music score is composed by Ben Daglish & Anthony Lees.
