    Hi Simon, i'm sorry i didn't know about your channel at the time of this topic. i like the fact that your unbiased and truthful, you seem to make much sense in your reasoning with the facts.
    there has always been a problem when it comes to the Phoenix boys playing for their country. being rejected, ignored and denied from conception due to politics and control. From Loan, Kyle, Sharky and the whole academy were no more than babies. I know cause i have always been there assisting my brother with the academy from the beginning and a conclusion was made that they would never get a fair chance with football in there own country. it's a shame what we had to go through to accomplish a future for the boys and the Academy, only to be noticed by the same once who rejected etc when internationally recognized and accomplished what we have. on that very day i took them to the airport to see them off i knew good things were in the making despite who made it first, it was never about one! it was always about brotherhood and team work as one man cannot succeed in this sport, it's a team sport. After all the years of straggle barriers and rejection being called names being looked down on having to earn the respect in a strange country and being determined to suck it all up as they all learn to do, chains were broken and a level of accomplishment had finally been achieved, Low and behold someone requested for a phoenix rejected abused disrespected player by the said once who claimed there was nothing special about any of the phoenix boys, asking for him to join and represent Jamaica fully knowing how they treated him having to sit in the stands and watch others play while they refused to give them a chance no matter how my brother pleaded as iv'e seen and herd with my own eyes / ears.....
    It's a dam shame on us as we represent Jamaica as Jamaicans to fight down just the once who would have made the difference, who knows! so were are we now!!!!!! if it was up to me after all the years of seeing this mess and the use and abuse of our youths in this country i would personally remind Chippy forgive but don't forget and if another nation accepts you over your own remember loyalty and why you are where you are today! they made the time in their own country to see what the JFF in your own country refused and rejected to see. bottom line never cut off your nose to spite your dam faces....i wish all my follow Jamaicans a brighter future in the name of football...how? that's the million dollar question. we need to do better in every aspect of righteousness for our country and our people.
    blessings.

    Leon Bailey is one of the best Jamaica footballer Jamaica need to thought Football Federation out and put somebody like mr. Butler in charge

  • @garethmalcolm3204
    @garethmalcolm3204 7 років тому +3

    The goal of football players is to play in the World Cup. I don't have a problem if Leon Bailey wants to play for another country. Look at players like Diego Costa born in Brazil plays for Spain, Wilfred Zaha born in England plays for Ivory Coast, Julian Green born in Germany and plays for USA, John Barnes born in Jamaica played for England, Patrick Vierira born in Senegal and played for France, Miroslav Klose born in Poland and played for Germany, Deco born in Brazil and played for Portugal, and it goes on and on. If the Jamaican Federation is not doing its job then players will play for a country that will happily put them first.

    • @jeromecrosby1318
      @jeromecrosby1318 7 років тому +2

      Gareth Malcolm zaha was born in the ivory coast and has ivorian parents. He speaks french and a local ivorian dialect. Terrible comparison. every example u used to justify disloyalty makes completely no sense because the player was either raised in said country or had origins there through their parents. In the event they werent, Costa and deco, it was because they were openly competing and failing to get called up to one of the most loaded national sides in Brazil. Both of them recognized that they had no chance of getting called up and playing consistently because there were better players in national team pool. Baileys situation is nowhere near any of the examples u used. Stop excusing disloyalty. That's like Gareth bale saying, 'well, wales hasn't qualified for a wc since 1958. I'm going to play for england since I've been here since I was 10 years old." Foh

    At the moment. The Jamaica national team isn't in the greatest of places in terms of ambition and development for young players. So just let Leon Bailey continue with his development and hopefully he can go on to be a Jamaican legend!

    I won't blame the kid for not wanting to play for a management that needs some serious reshuffling.
    shouldn't there be a program in place so the national juniors developed and represent the seniors team. it is sad when a 19 year old is not excited at the opportunity to play for his country at the senior level.

    I do not see the point of changing your nationality for football porpoises because it is not like it severely effects your growth as a footballer. If the best footballers never repd for their countries they would have the same amount of talent. Also if you change your nationality and you win all these World Cups what is the point? Is that the nation you love? Is that the country you first played football in?

      This guy is on here to trace, #SmallMinded
      Simey.. Personally, I would love to see him in the reggae boys colours.. but, like Genk, there's more & better futbol out there for him. Sometimes we just have to do the right thing, and watching him improve at club level and the int'l stage.. Belgium with their talents may be better suited. To add, we may pressure him at this age more than needed. However, it's too early to say.. the axe can swing either way, but can the Reggae Boyz, short term (within 10yrs) be better than what they are now?

    House in order mean proper management of the football team.
    1)I don't think the choose wisely in team selection
    2) the transition from the youth squads & high school football to The National Team doesnt exist
    3) The premiere league talents are underutilized
    4) The current team under pressure, work then National or Club training

    In my opinion Leon should stay away from Jamaica national team. Yes I'm a Jamaica saying that. I enjoy watching the youth play and his career blooming( WHAT HAVE THE NATIONAL TEAM DONE FOR THEIR YOUNG TALENTS?) yes it an honor to represent your national team. However, the current states and the same people in the sport program doesn't know how to develop raw talent in other words dem Mek di same mistake over n over again by playing the name, links and political game.Renae Simmons was the ONLY person who willing to give every n any ghetto r country youth the opportunity to blossom. Player for a different country doesn't make you non Jamaican its in our DNA he's already representing just by highlighting the fact that he's a yardie is good enough so that other can see that talent is on the island big up Gordon and Fuller.#🇯🇲#⚽️ life✌🏿

    Now he will be eligible to play for Germany and they believe in young talents so he'll probably make his debut for them (Germany) in 2018 World Cup and people need to understand that if you're good enough then you're old enough that's what the JFF doesn't get hence Raheem Sterling agents was told he was too young as a 17yrs old playing in English football for Liverpool but England made him a teenager playing the World Cup Jamaicans don't realize that instead they bash him for representing England but don't know that he contacted Jamaica first

Just watch Usain Bolt had to say about Jamaicans in his interview with Ian Boyne. More over football his a team sports and if he plays for a good team it better his chances to win world cup which Jamaica will never win anytime soon if ever and also it better his chance for Fifa player of the year. Leon Bailey is PRE-MODONNA being manipulated by his adopted Father Butler,, why can't he realize that a player like he could start a revolution for Jamaica's football, like Bolt did for our Athletics,, my opinion !!! if he doesn't have the heart for Jamaica, low him,, for I heard a quality English born player ''Hector'' of Jamaican parentage said from he was little his intention was always to play for Jamaica,, remember now Bailey is Jamaican born, and practically started honing his skills in Jamaica,, I bet they woud'nt make such the ridiculous call, bout yu haffi select his brother without trial, or else no-can-do, just like when they use to marry goods when things where scarce, he has already compromised his position of playing for Jamaica, by inadvertently dissing the other players, the bigger Countries especially England is like a vampire for any good skills coming outta Jamaica too. but we will prevail, we don't need Bailey and his family to do so
