In 2005, Japanese Hip-Hop Group m-flo released the album "Beat Space Nine," their biggest hit of all time, peaking at #1 on the Oricon charts (equivalent of Billboard in JP). Track #16: "TRIPOD BABY", is a song part of the "m-flo ♥" series (read: m-flo loves). This series is a collection of collaborations of other J-Pop stars. The vocal feature here is LISA, a former member of the band, starting from the formation of the band in 1997, until her departure for a solo career in 2002. The name for the song refers to the band's first major release, "The Tripod E.P." Eventually the band were approached for a promotion for the upcoming release of "Shadow The Hedgehog." DJ Taku Takahashi, an avid fan of video games, stated he was honored to be apart of the Sonic franchise, "even if it is Shadow." The boys were involved in a photoshoot with both them and Shadow posing with guns; featured in the commercial campaign building upon the shoot; and "TRIPOD BABY (Shadow The Hedghog Mix)" was created, under the moniker, "m-flo ♥ Shadow The Hedgehog." That's the gist of it. The original music video an album version of the song is available on the official m-flo UA-cam channel, and in a few compilation albums. Shadow was evil when he attacked those guys unexpectedly from on his ship, he later switched sides when he was dancing and flying with them, but he was still evil because those guys didn't know that he was leading them into a trap till it was too late.

So I saw this way back when it first came out and I watched/listened to it a lot at the time. Over time though it faded to the back of my mind. But last night, another song I was listening to sparked a memory of this one and I set off to find it. I ended up finding the original album version first - which I had never seen/heard before - and I watched the whole thing and was like "Wait, where was Shadow?" I started thinking for a moment "Did I fever dream that whole thing? Wtf? There's no way." I just had to scroll a bit further to find this, but for a couple moments I thought I was losing my mind lol

Are you sure it's the same LiSA? I know that Japan has a bunch of different artists that call themselves that, for example the third opening of Legend of the Galactic Heroes is sung by a LiSA and that came out in the early 90s.
