As long as there are no structural changes insides can be changed easily. New wall treatments, different art work, carpet changes, lighting adjustments and new furniture. I always look for curb appeal, the rest is all a matter of personal preference and an animated discussion with the Mrs.
@@derjaeger3321. Um…ripping out tacky built-ins, replacing light fixtures, putting in nice moldings and doors isn’t easy and definitely not cheap. Inside needs MAJOR upgrades. Plus some of the rooms are just way too big. Whoever built this had more money than taste. I don’t care about the bones - would you wanna live with great ugly tacky bones?
@@fd9987You are correct the interior in no way matches the exterior, frankly the house looks like two architects were involved. A traditionalist for the outside and someone I would never hire for the interior. It is to my eyes a bit ghastly for my taste, but a different color scheme would be a big improvement. But note - with a house such as this and the type of monied purchaser, this house in any case, would most likely undergo major renovations inside to suit their taste. What is a few hundred grand extra to make the Mrs happy? I recall when we sold my mother’s house to settle the estate a “flipper” purchased it and immediately removed several nonbearing walls and totally remade the interior. And it was easily completed for a lot less that one would think, remember as I knew what the house cost him and the sales price. All be it a much smaller house it can be done .
