  • When vaccination rates drop, diseases like polio and measles can and do come back. In this expert interview, Lindsay Dixon speaks with Ajit Johal BSP RPh as they discuss the latest updates on disease prevention through vaccination including how vaccines work and how vaccines are developed, as well as specific vaccines developed for shingles, travel vaccines, pneumonia, RSV, measles, and COVID-19.     Shingrix® shingles vaccine coverage is available at no cost to First Nations Elders who are 60 years and older. This change is intended to make the vaccine accessible to a larger segment of the Elder population. Coverage was previously limited to those aged 65 years and older.

      It just worked for me, I had to slide the other options to the left and it was the option all the way to the right.

    38:00 I am 41 and live in the UK and Spain. In both countries, the guidelines say under 65s or 60s cannot request COVID vaccination unless immunosuppressed etc. but can get the Flu one. In practice, I turned up at a medical centre in Spain and got both in one go without being asked further questions. They said they had finished vaccinating the vulnerable a month before, so vaccines were just available. I am not sure it would have been the same in the UK.
