+ItzMeGabbi Me neither~! I don't know what just happened, my eyes just started leaking & my heart leaped. I think I might be coming down with something.
Holy shit, I looked through the comments expecting a lot of hate and judgement, and all I found was people who understood, or are trying to understand. Thanks everyone for restoring my faith in humanity a little, you're all great people =)
I think the tittle helps. Since people tend to immediately "attack" topics based on certain (parts of) tittles. Here maybe people actually watch it completely before commenting.
James James For a world that sees real problems, that's what gives me strenght to fight for. ;) why a piece of cloth bring so much outrage and indignation? ...be yourself.
It's terrifying, *absolutely terrfying*, on how strong social norms are and how shackled we are to them. Innocent people have been murdered because they haven't conformed to being 'normal'. Shit like that haunts me.
At first I thought it was going to be an homophobic and bad comment, but no :). Yes pal, that haunts me too. The fact they can't be themselves is so alarming... Society needs to change. They need to know we're all humans with wishes, feelings and rights. No one should tell you what to wear, who to love and who to be.
I haven't been able to watch this without crying yet. This is how God intended parents to raise their children. Unconditional love. I fall apart during the scene with the dad sitting in the child's room, holding the dress in one hand, and realizing how many gendered stereotypes they were raised on and just how much he was EXPECTING from them when you should never have pressure on a kid for what they're going to grow up to be.
Same here! Even I got bullied for dressing like a boy in High School. They all called me lesbo. Well... I am gay, but I'm not a girl so I can't be lesbian.
I'm a trans woman and I know very well what it's like to be in a wrong body. I cried so much when I first saw this video. I wish I could see nomore people suffering like I did.
The thing is with boys and girls, girls can go around like a tom-boy, with the baggy clothes and the hoodie and stuff and not get judged for it because its one of the feminine personalities that is recognized now-a-days.(Correct me if I'm wrong, I am a tom-boy and I have not been bullied or judged for my male like actions) But if a boy is caught doing feminine things like playing with dolls and wearing dresses its a completely different story. I see nothing wrong with it myself, of course yes it may take a while to get used to it for some people. You people just gotta get you heads out of the sand and haul your asses back into the present time. This is not the 1800's, this is today, and today we should have some sort of respect for one anothers personalities and choices.
Jeremiah I also think they look great in the dresses, really really, I in fact loved them wearing dresses, not only because they are breaking traditional norms, but mainly because it is just beautiful for my eyes! I am re-thinking many things. But who is that blond person, say...the mother? wow!
Jeremiah what's actually fucking embarrassing in people forgetting what real problems are. How's this: a family is to poor But mooomy i want to wear a dress.. Sorry hun, you have to wear these pants because we can't afford your dress. THAT'S more of a problem then some fucking spoiled brat complaining about what he's wearing. Embarrassing is this entire generation people born with a silver spoon up their fucking ass who have no idea what actual problems are so they make irrelevant things into problems. Forget world hunger, forget poverty, forget disease, forget all that. LITTLE TIMMY GOT BULLIED FOR WEARING A DRESS! Oh fucking noes! What ever shall we do?

What a beautiful message. Regardless of what a person's sex is, they have the right to express themselves in whatever ways they choose, as long it's not harmful to themselves and others (and yes, a male expressing himself by "feminine" expectations is not harmful to himself, or anyone else). What I would love for society is to get to the point where the words masculinity/femininity are ONLY associated with primary and secondary SEX characteristics and have no "gender" implications. Gender is a SOCIALLY constructed idea, and because it is constructed, it can be deconstructed. I would love to get to the point in society where the term gender, or the idea of it (that idea being SOCIAL characteristics associated with masculinity and femininity, or characteristics associated with the male and female sexes of people) are no longer in existence. I believe that this is possibly the only way human beings will ever live in harmony.
I agree. I am against a certain thing if it causes harm to people, animals, enviroment, etc. and a person's clothing style doesn't cause harm to anyone.
In whatever ways he or she chooses? Sure the dad wasn't helpful but just pump that message into kids and you will raise antisocial monsters. Not with the dress but you said "whatever ways".
Unconditional love for your children isn't just about the money you spend for their gadgets, education etc. Love is all about acceptance...and most parents forget that.
I am prepared for anything! If one of my children shows traits of not being "like everyone else", im fine with it, and we will figure everything out together! And by figuring it out, im not talking about making them "normal".. Im talking about making them happy with who they are! And this video needs more views!
I'm literally crying so hard right now. This is amazing. For a girl that looks like a boy (short hair, masculine clothes, a masculine body shape) it's not nice to deal with people calling me a boy all the time, or asking if I'm a lesbian because I have short hair (hair doesn't correlate with sexuality!). I'm also planning to wear some sort of suit for Leavers Day this year and already I can see everybody staring and the comments I'm going to get. But you know what? I don't care - I will just do what I want because I'm the only one who should and can make a decision about what I look like. That is why this video is so uplifting! A parents' understanding and recognition about who you are is the most important thing, because parents are the only ones who can teach kids what's right.
I love the kids mother we need more people like her!!! Dont forget the dad too! And the kid as well being who they are without the messed up people around them controlling the way they live.
AMEI.

Thank you so much for this video !! I am fighting for my boys, that they can have the same rights as girls... if they like rose ! let them ! thank you !!!
I love this video. Because at first the dad is angry and annoyed by the sons love of dresses (amongst other things). But he eventually comes to understand that his son happiness is more important. And he manages to pull his heard out of his arse and do something brave for his son. It shows that people can change.
Every single time I watch this clip I cry. And yet I come back to it. It's bittersweet in the best ways, where the bitterness leaves way for the sweetness. I like that it's hopeful.
Love is the most amazing thing ever and it is the most natural thing to do. I do not understand why we still struggle so much to achieve something that is so easy and natural to do.
This is gorgeous. It's so sad that femininity is hated so much by society that males cannot be in any way "girly" while girls are allowed, sometimes encouraged, to be more masculine. I was always allowed to be a tomboy, play football, never wear dresses, be the male parts in role play - I dread to think what I would have felt if I were a boy who liked feminine things. When you take a step back, gender roles are absolutely ABSURD. Even when you're in favour of freedom of expression and enjoy this video, most of us are still so used to the strict social norms that we don't find it odd that they're even there.
Kids need to feel the right to be who they are, in a world that is constantly trying to mold you into someone you aren't, it's rather fabulous to see someone stand up for their child (a little late) but still nice to see. I will also admit that I wanted to beat the shit out of that dad for 2/3 of the video, but the fact that he change, that he found the courage inside himself to change, that is what makes him a real man.
I must say, i am most impressed. After watching came here to the comments expecting a lot of hatred comments, instead i see that most people are understanding and supportive. I am not a transgendered person, but empathy is human ability and i know how dreadful and sad is a life when everyone mocks, bullies and mistreat you. So it makes me really happy knowing that people are growing out of ignorance and hatred towards compreehension and love. Thank you artists for the music, which is touching, thank you people for being adorable.
powerful. Issue that is very much looked at differently and we should learn how to ask the right questions and how to help children with this. Help them become comfortable and not afraid.
Ela chorou tanto que chegou a me impressionar.
Best music video so far. I have to admit I've cried when his dad accepted him and I was so glad his mom was so supportive. Great message, really makes the song have even more impact

Thank you! :-*
Estoy muy de acuerdo!
Pietra caraio, arrasa cmg nao 💙
It has nothing better than having the support of their parents...
I am prepared for anything! If one of my children shows traits of not being "like everyone else", im fine with it, and we will figure everything out together! And by figuring it out, im not talking about making them "normal".. Im talking about making them happy with who they are!
And this video needs more views!
gay
A parents' understanding and recognition about who you are is the most important thing, because parents are the only ones who can teach kids what's right.
c'est tellement émouvant !
I love the kids mother we need more people like her!!! Dont forget the dad too! And the kid as well being who they are without the messed up people around them controlling the way they live.
AWESOME*
BEAUTIFUL*
LET THE LIGHT SHINE !!!
THANK YOU...
Almost six years since i first saw this video, yet it still bring me to tears.
AMEI.

Pa eu ler enquanto escuto
Omg the end made me cry so much
No one should have to feel shameful for who they are.
You are worthy.
You are a human being and nothing less.
You are You.
Please remember this.
Thank you so much for this video !! I am fighting for my boys, that they can have the same rights as girls... if they like rose ! let them ! thank you !!!
It's a lesson of life for everyone. You're not perfect, me too and everybody...
I am crying. This clip is so beautiful!!!
IM BAWLING THIS VIDEO IS FANTASTIN AND POWERFUL OH MY GOD
I cry every single time
This is the most emotional vid. i have ever seen!!😭😭
I love this video. Because at first the dad is angry and annoyed by the sons love of dresses (amongst other things). But he eventually comes to understand that his son happiness is more important. And he manages to pull his heard out of his arse and do something brave for his son. It shows that people can change.
Have to watch it again and again i love that Video it s soo soo soo nice
love your childrens and love the humanity love us...
Tuleyp Demirci ı share this for all of us
I have seen this video so many times and I still cry when I watch this. LOVE
Aaaaaaa choro toda vez que vejo
Omg I got massively emotional and cried. Just beautiful
this is wonderful and beautiful
This is why discrimination must stop!
you dress as you want!
And i'm not crying
This is beautiful!! I love that the dad wore a dress for his son. And the way he smiled it was so adorable!!
We watched this in seminar yesterday and it brought me to tears! Such a strong video and such a strong message!!!
this video is sooooooooo powerful! sooooooooo heartwarming ♡
Que vídeo mais lindo ❤
What an amazing and beautiful video, thanks!
I'm most definitely not crying. Tch my eyes aren't tearing up.... I just have something in my eye.
They both look Fabulousssss in those dresses
Ela chorou tanto que chegou a me impressionar.
Best music video so far. I have to admit I've cried when his dad accepted him and I was so glad his mom was so supportive. Great message, really makes the song have even more impact
Second time I have see it. I have cried even more than the first time.
What a beautiful, beautiful music video! I cried at the end. Kids just want to be accepted for who they are. Love is the answer!
At first, I thought the dad was Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory
me too
so I'm not alone

The smile on his/her face when he/she sees his/her father with the dress is so cute
Don't be your kid's first bully.
I'll be the first

This really changed my life
