Aishwarya Rai brings Bollywood glamour to Cannes

AISHWARYA RAI BRINGS BOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR TO THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL
Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai caught up with AP Entertainment at the Cannes Film Festival Wednesday (14 May) to reflect on her Cannes memories.
Rai has been a regular at the Cannes Film Festival since her film 'Devdas' received as Special Screening in 2002, a role that brought her international recognition. She was also a member of the jury at the festival in 2003.
Rai, wed fellow Bollywood heavy weight, actor Abhishek Bachchan in April 2007 and they attended the festival together after their marriage.
Much to the envy of woman everywhere, Rai always manages to look stunning and glamorous on the red carpet.
When asked how she prepares for the red carpet Rai said:
"The designers are so excited and so generous and so creative and they come up with so many ideas that you actually get spoiled for choice. It gets very, very difficult to be able to zero in and decide on which one to wear."
Rai, who first received international attention as the winner of Miss World in 2004 has achieved great success as an actress, both in India and abroad, but she hasn't abandoned her modelling roots - she is also a model and spokesperson for a major cosmetics brand.
Rai will next be seen in "Sarkar Raj'' starring opposite her husband Abhishek Bachchan and father-in-law, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan.
Speaking of her famous in-laws, Rai told AP: '' I have fantastic in-laws and I think that's when a girl's blessed. When you don't feel you've gone to a new home or a foreign home. When you feel as comfortable with them as your parents and the similar friendship, it's great.''
Her next English language movie will be "Pink Panther 2," co-starring Steve Martin, Jean Reno and Andy Garcia. The film is due for release in February 2009.
