Angelina is 8 here and she sings in English! That's her third language. You know she's from Norway. There, everyone speaks Norwegian. From the age of 6, Angelina read and sing English texts and understand what everything means! She is amazing in many ways.
She wasnt nervous. She was mentally translating english words to say. English is her 3rd out of 4 languages she speaks.
I was looking forward to seeing your guys reaction two more of Angelina Jordan. Really don’t like the show that she was on but she still showed what she’s made of. She is out of this world and nobody can contend with her. She is definitely an angel sent from heaven to make us all happy
Another masterpiece at her young age Angelina Jordan has always excel all the expectations with her renditions, Her unique voice full of colors,tenderness,emotions,melismas ,runs,vibratos, It makes her uncomparable and as I said before Only Angelina can beat Angelina. God bless her.
So glad you guys have come aboard with all of us. Like you said, it's impossible not to smile when you watch her. And, on some occasions she can make you cry but they are tears of joy. What is so incredible besides her vocal capabilities embellished with elements of jazz and her ever so present soulful tones is her poise and confidence. And, I don't know about you, but I always feel like she is singing for us rather than just to us.
Yes, go to the Norway's Got Talent Show next. She sings 4 songs. See if you can get the video which covers all her performances. I think it's about 11 minutes. If it's too long for you you can find video's highlighting just one song at a time. Personally, I prefer the 11 minute version because it has it all. Your emotions will build up so much, what a trip it will take you on. BTW, the 11 minutes will fly by. Whenever Angelina treats us to a video it ALWAYS ends too soon.
The thing to expect is to be surprised each and every time. If you want to be smothered a silk smoothness and cuteness, you could check out the performances at Norway got talent.

With Angelina's roots in jazz, her grandma, who was also a child prodigy, knew that in certain cases (like herself,
I imagine), her granddaughter might be able to absorb music and lyrics at an age when most thought it
was impossible. As she stated, her jazz singing began at 1-1/2. Who in the world was ever able to do something
like that?
Quincy Jones personally asked her to sing this for him at his 85th birthday in London. You can see her rehearse with the London Symphony Orchestra. You really need to hear "I'm still holding out for you." The technique is incredible. She was 10 years old. Also, she does an amazing arrangement of "A natural woman" She changes the chorus beautifully.

Please check out Angelina's version of "Everytime we say good-bye". She recorded it at age 10, live during a TV-Show in Oslo, standing on a rooftop with her guitarist, just hours before she left Norway heading to the US. So touching and unbelievable beautiful.

Angelina says she "goes to another world" when she sings, and you saw it in this video. As soon as she starts, she transforms into a mature, professional vocal artist, completely in control of the stage and the music. She tries to describe this place she goes in a TV interview on Norway's channel 2 (ua-cam.com/video/3HUQZFSPBNQ/v-deo.html). She was 12 at the time, and while the interview starts in Norwegian (turn on subtitles), they quickly switch to English because the interviewer recognizes that Angelina's audience is global and primarily English-speaking. Following the interview, she sings her original song "Shield" (captured in a separate video: ua-cam.com/video/lQtUbVKb0vs/v-deo.html). The interview may not be reaction-worthy, but the video of Shield is. Note that Angelina wrote Shield to thank her family (especially her mother, grandmother, and uncle) for protecting her from the dangers of the music industry while she's growing up.
She wasn't much of a talker at that age, very shy, but boy, when it was time to sing, hold on to your hats :-)
Her skills are singing and writing not talking, she discribes herself in an interview, when she was 12y. A well considering personality. My recommendation read her book, she published at 9y out. Very interesting and beautiful. You can find and buy her English ebook Version on her website. I hope she will release more of this quality content one day

Great reaction. Angelina has said if it wasn't for her unconditional love for Billie Holiday's music, there wouldn't be the Angelina we know today. Angelina's first two performances on Norway's Got Talent were covers of Billie Holiday singing "Gloomy Sunday" and "I'm a Fool to Want You". If Angelina is Billie Holiday's incarnation, then this time she is surrounded by angels instead of demons.
Thanks for another great reaction to another masterful performance by Angelina - at age 8. Highly recommend you go back to all 4 of her NGT performances at ages 7-8 (each is quite short & there are a couple of videos out there that include all 4). Also - either of her Feeling Good performances (one indoors, one out) - at age 10. Be sure to get the video uploaded by Angelina Jordan Fanclub Mosarz, which I just learned this week is a channel run by her grandmother. The performance captured there is astounding.

getting back to Angelina's ability to 're'-interpret classic songs you must check out her version of The Mamas And Papas classic hipster song California Dreaming. It's like I never heard the words before she completely sells you on her version. Breath taking talent and giftedness this kid's got.

If you listen to Rosy say, "we in America love 8 year olds that can sing" is actually kind of funny, since there are NO 8 year olds that can sing like this child, and she is doing Jazz. Her first performance is one that you should start with. It was before anyone knew who she was. They were blown away. It was a Billy Holiday song and if you closed your eyes, you may think it was Billy Holiday singing it. She was 7!

This is a ginormous rabbit hole guys. So worth the journey. I’ve been a fan for like 10 years. She didn’t speak much English then and Rosie was acting like she was able to just answer everything so easily. She sang in English but she didn’t speak it or translate it very well yet. She could but it took a minute for her to get it and find her words and Rosie just expected her to just speak it as if she were born here lol. Gotta watch all her Norway’s got talent performance they are all just amazing.

Maybe you should go to Angelina's audition at Norway's Got Talent singing "Gloomy Sunday" when she was 7 years old (there is one with English subtitles). This is the performance that went viral around the world. If you are interested in finding out if Angelina could sing at 1 1/2 years old there is a short clip of her singing along with a Whitney Houstin song. I particularly like her rendition of "I Who Have Nothing" in the studio at age 6 (not to be in the mistaken for "I Have Nothing" which she also did a cover of when she was 13. Enjoy the journey.

Check out Angelina's "Rehearsal video "Fly me to the Moon" for the Quincy Jones 85th Birthday Gala" (2018). Quincy arranged the song and asked Angelina to perform it for the Gala. During a back stage conversation with Angelina, Quincy told her that she was the best young artist since Michael Jackson, for whom he produced many albums.

She did an acoustic version at 9 or 10 in a music video produced and directed by her grandmother. She performed it with a symphony orchestra for Quincy Jones 85th birthday celebration in London, and she stars in a TV ad for Linked In singing it. All are special and worth checking out.
I agree Terry. To really understand the roots of Angelina, one needs to view this video of her run on NGT. I've watched a lot of talent shows, and for me, this is the most amazing 4 performances I have ever seen. Her talent at 8 years of age is jaw-dropping. Even though there were 10 acts in the Finals, she ended up getting almost 50% of the votes and winning by a landslide. This video also contains her winning the show at the end. The dollar value of the prize at the time was about $80K, and she promptly donated it to charity. Not only a GREAT talent, but also a Wonderful heart. As always, you guys are great!

N.B.2: The song you referred to by Capaldi "Someone you loved" was on AGT, but unfortunately it's confusing because of the sandshow performed at the same time by another artist, so it's easy to lose focus on her singing although it was gorgeous. Love you two. Lots of fun and so passionate! I call this Angelina's theme song. She has about 40 different versions. It makes sense when you take in the lyrics "fill my heart with song and let me sing forever more". The great producer and arranger Quincy Jones invited Angelina to sing this at the 02 Arena in London for his 85th birthday concert. She sang the arrangement he did for Frank Sinatra and she kicked off the celebration on stage with Quincy right there when she was 12. Quincy produced the THRILLER album for Michael Jackson and he stated that Angelina reminded him of a young MJ. Quite a compliment! The video of her rehearsal for the performance is amazing with a huge orchestra. There is also a video of her singing impromptu for him in his hotel room, a capella, "Dream A Little Dream Of Me" and then giving him a hug. If you watch her first two performances on Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday's "Gloomy Sunday" and "I'm A Fool To Want You" I recommend listening to Billie's original first (own your own) to see how great those two performances were. She recently did a cover of Duffy’s song “Mercy” for the sound track to the movie “The Hating Game” that opens in theaters tonight. Apparently, this is the opening song for the movie.
