He was so charming with this lady, he must have been pretty bored of answering the same questions at movie junkets, but he never showed it and was always gracious and patient.
@@markant9534 It happened a lot back in the 30s, 40s and 50s, young, single women got pregnant, and because of the social stigma, their mother would raise the child as though it were hers. The child grew up knowing no different, thinking his/her grandparents were his/her parents, and believing what they were told - that the woman who gave birth to them, was their older sister. Aged around 40 and in a relationship with Anjelica Huston, Jack Nicholson got a phone call out of the blue, telling him the truth. The caller was closely associated with his biological father, still living, who he had never met. By that time both his mother and his grandmother were dead, so Jack couldn't get closure by talking to them about it. And he had no interest in meeting his father. As he remarked to Anjelica at the time: "What do I need a father for at my age?" A very sad story. But at the end of the day he clearly came to terms with the whole deception. He was lucky enough to have enjoyed a loving and supportive family growing up - isn't that far more important?
The one and only Jack Nicholson. Such a cool, likeable guy while also being highly intelligent and beyond talented. Just watched him in the Passenger,in which he was wonderful.
Love this interview of my handsome sexy talented Taurus king Jack Nicholson for five easy pieces. Please post more if you have any of him, he can really rock a moustache. Adore his voice and sense of humour. ❤ ♥️ 😍🥰😘🤩🌟✨ 📺 🥵 🤤
This interview (if anyone cares) is actually 1971. Around the 2:45 mark, she mentions the Academy Awards presentation on April 15th, which was 1971. There's also another interview on YT from 1971 where he is sitting in that same spot wearing the same clothes. That video is "KERA Interview With Jack Nicholson - 1971"
Jack always seemed agitated/irritated in the 70s, barely holding himself together with public life and interviews. He was a perfect part for Five Easy Pieces, and beyond his other great movies, he barely did many other interviews..
Great interview Bobbie!! My Grandmother’s name was Roberta, but everyone called her Bobbie. Curious what the voice over from the ghosting was in the background under the interview.
Could be anything but is likely from poor alignment of the pickup head on the audio tape- either from the recording device or the playback device, another track with other material.
He deserved his nomination for Five Easy Pieces.
Bobbie was a doll back in her day.

He has a remarkable voice, def a taurus. My man Jack

Mr Nicholson was handsome when he was younger ❤
When he mentioned his mother I almost cried
Wasn`t she pretending to be his sister?
@@markant9534 Yeah. He wouldn't know for another four years

greatest ever
Haven't seen the movie for a while now but have always really liked it.
Love him so much 🥺❤️
This interview is amazing
He reminds me of Leonardo DiCaprio so much or I guess Leo reminds me of him
Have you seen his son, Ray Nicholson? Literally looks like him and Leo meshed into one person. He's gorgeous😍
I can see it,even his mannerisms and way of answering in interviews 😅
I remember Leo impersonating once
Not even close dummy
Good point. Both are humble, but very sure of their own talent and unsurprised by their success.
@@Chelz12 they didn't say looks they meant mannerisms intonation inflection etc
This back when hollywood and journalism had class. Now it's a freak show.

Jack: "Bobbie, I'd like to undo that blouse and... get to know ya"
Exactly, Jack wants to be Jack but while on camera he's gotta hold it back 😂
This is mighty interview!
What a film. What a performance.
I wouldn't have guessed he's only 33 years old in this interview.
Another fine example of people in the past looking much older than they were.
Jack is the coolest ever😎

Evocative interview
A number of astonishingly st*p*d questions which Mr Nicholson answers with such grace.
Is there anyone she DIDN'T interview?

96 años. (97)
I remember the days of literally no interviews of him uploaded on YT. Crazy to see them now lol.
wow, Bobbie even got Jack!
Got him early.
Too bad the sound is so warped.
Why? I like it. Sorta gives it an old school vibe to it

She seems like a nice lady but when you have to do many of these interviews it can drive you to drinking and other mind blowing adventures.

Yes he was
She really was. I had only seen her later interviews. Jack probably nailed her right after this.....
❤
He definitely is stoned in this 😂
He looks like he is in and out of it
when 5 easy pieces begins Jack Nicholson has a southern accent but when he comes home he doesn't have one. check it out 😎
what’s up the volume in this interview
Wasn't the Shooting released in the sixties.
God I wanna watch this but the chick's voice is 3x as loud as Jack's
Jack was great that year, but Scott, by far, deserved it for Patton
He is 33 years old here.
I’m 42 and I look like 33 jack lol ( not looks haha )
Five easy pieces is never shown anywhere
very good movie
Masterpiece
It actually streams on a few platforms, pretty regularly. Check around.
That's why I bought the DVD. A great movie, great actors.
I wish I could catch and understand English

He's 33 here
Did he or didn’t he? A woman’s heart is full of secrets 🤫😂
