When you use a stick like this you need to shoot with your hands lower or closer to the ice which is why Ovie has a lower flex than you would expect, he needs that whip. I used a similarly, borderline illegal curve when I played and that is the key to learning to shoot with a curve like this. Think about pushing harder and more downward than you normally would. Pardon the pun but their is a little bit more of a learning curve with this sort of curve over other, more subtle, curves. Ya follow? Lol
Brings back some awesome memories of this stick, I had it years ago on a ccm u+10 the curve was "CRAZY OVI" one of the best sticks/curves I've played with!!!

Hey Jeremy, this stick is a Super Tacks 2.0 dressed as an original Trigger (ASY). You can tell from the Sigmatex carbon fiber on the blade and shaft, from the 45-degree orientation of the fibers on the shaft, and from the lack of ribs on the lower shaft.
Simon Ledsham it can be both though in my opinion it can be a Tigger 2.0 or Super tacks 2.0 cause V01 states it can be any model of that family or other models if the Sigmatex is there
The Trigger 2 uses Sigmatex, but I did notice there does not seem to be the "pop matrix zone". So it is probably a Super Tacks 2.0

i also have a pro stock Trigger 2 and it doesnt have the ribs in the lower shaft. I dont think its a super tacks dressed as a trigger however, i just think its a regular low kick stick. Im more so convinced most pros dont like to mess around with gimmiky things in sticks, so they pretty much all stick to the bread and butter low kick stick. When you see pro stock Super Tacks with the "LK" code on them, that just means low kick. So its not really a ST at all.
Brandon that’s very true that’s why i said there’s the V01 code on it I didn’t see anything Like LK but who knows in my opinion but I have seen Parnain use the standard Ribs on a Ribcor he use still uses the Recknor graphics

A lot of us who find hockey vids when we don’t have games or ice time like to watch other beer leaguers (nasher, tdi and bender) and either learn from them or enjoy some off ice entertainment.

I use his old Bauer curve (p08) which is like that and it makes shooting super easy once you get used to it

Hey coach Jeremy! That stick is wicked. I have his older Bauer pro stock sticks (87 flex G3 build), and if you're not used to it, you send pucks into the rafters hahaha

My brother used to use his curve in Junior and LOVE it...He stopped using it only because he had a really hard time finding them. Good luck shooting low with it though! lol
Prostock? They are definitely hard to find, for the last two years I've been asking Prostock hockey, and a few other Prostock websites and none of the ever got one in stock. I asked Bauer when he was with them and they never came through, but the guys at CCM are 👌 and hooked me up.
Well he used to use the "Crazy Ovi" which was basically a replica of his pro stock curve back then...They stopped making them though.

^ Ovis CCM U+ I have been at that place personally it’s a Warehouse in NJ that sells pro stock gear for collection but they do have men leaguers come in looking to use Pro Stock like me. I own a Kyle Palmieri stick and a Travis Zajac one. By the way to only get in that place you need to make an appointment for them let you in the warehouse it’s amazing when you walk in. They sell a lot of Flyers Devils Bruins sticks there.

I win quite a few, I have 3 tactics. First is to just go for the clean win, if I'm faster than the other guy or he's not too strong on the stick that works. For guys who are pretty quick I usually go for their stick, I smack it out of the way then go for the puck, that works well EXCEPT for the guys who are strong on their stick, for them I typically go for the clean win while also pushing into the faceoff dot for a potential secondary chance with my stick or foot.

Jeremy, I've seen pros do this before ,what Ovi is using is a ccm trigger 2 wrapped in the older versions graphics the asy but hes still using the trigger 2 except it looks like hes using the trigger asy but obviously the curve hasn't changed.

Hey coach Ovi uses one of CCM tacks or The Trigger with out the ribs in it. So it could be a Tacks Stick or a Ribcor Stick dressed As an asy or any model of in the Ribcor/Tack Family also the M stands for Factory made then 90 flex.After that the T stands for traditional shaft. Then Ovi’s player ID number. The curve is pretty akward to use, but once you get a hang of it youll never chance again cause the wristers are so easy to burry und it gives you pinpoint accuracy on your slapshots
It might also be to manipulate the puck especially pulling it towards you. Definitely not helping the backhand tho

Here is my thinking on the stick's kick point. I think it is a team stock LK kick point which is a sort of low mid kick hybrid. I think this because the taper is very similar. I do think though he uses a Supertacks 2.0 or AS1 blade because from my understanding of his previous sticks he does like a pretty pingy blade but also because it is usually customized to be a thin thickness on the blade it needs the stiffness not to open up on his one timers. The sticks construction is obviously in line with CCM's top of the line models to provide his exact weight specifications (usually around 425-415 grams) and balance. As regards to flex he uses anywhere from a 90-100 flex with his CCM's.I think he uses Ribcor graphics for the very simple design without bright colors. Most of this is speculation based on photos I've seen and his stick history. EDIT: The shaft could be a Trigger 2 shaft without the concave section. The Trigger 2 also used sigmatex and has a similar taper. The original LK designation was a Ribcor shaft with a Tacks line blade.
