    Kopinski is such a mad lad, the skill, the looseness, the fact he's so relaxed doing his thing. Truly enjoys what he's doing. Seems like he could pump out ANYTHING and it looks breathtaking.

    This is a really great video with great tips I’m just confused on why you don’t have a lot of subs, UA-cam needs to recommend this guy to artists alike

    • @aog1747

      Its not his personal youtube its an online art course website

    • @Kyomiibrown
      @Kyomiibrown 5 років тому +7

      Radu Cris There are only a handful of exceptional true artists on youtube imho and these tend to have far less subs than the one trick pony type “artists” that appeal to young viewers. A lot of these younger viewers are attracted to the entertaining personalities who do the “art” rather than the artwork itself, and these are more of an entertainment channel imho. There are a couple or so highly subbed channel content providers in the art community who are exceptions to this though to be fair, just as there are a couple of highly subbed channels with artists like Karl too. However, the artists like Karl are few and far between on UA-cam imho. I’ve just subbed to Karl so I am pleased this channel showcased his work. 🙂

    • @dogardoogin6201
      @dogardoogin6201 5 років тому +1

      youtube isn't really a great place to learn art it's mostly focused on entertaining children with youtube influencers. It used to be a few years ago when channel's like Sycra did really well.

    • @Kyomiibrown
      @Kyomiibrown 5 років тому +3

      Dogar Doogin There are still a few good art channels out there who are dedicated to teaching rather than entertaining, but 90 percent of the art channels are repetitive with little imagination or effort put in place. The main problem is over saturation of art channels which means quantity is now over riding quality, sadly.

    • @kami9415
      @kami9415 4 роки тому +3

      @@Kyomiibrown you know that channels like those help the younger generations get into art? those channels are meant to entertain kids because kids cant understand the basic fundamentals for art nor would they care so of course they would gravitate to those cartoonish colorful drawing channels. Since most art channels that do realistic art can't really make an earning here they usually need to find a better source of income and those that do have a following are usually either mostly trying to get you to join their art classes/patreon with only a small percentage joining them. Quantity over quality is inevitable with the art community since there's also a lot of people who do it for fun or try to make a living out of it. So imo those that teach what you to become a better artist also need to make a living out of it and the same with entertainment channels, expect repetitivenes since more people watch those so the ad revenue is better . Don't shit on channels on UA-cam just because you're into more detailed art, they need a living too =+

    Been drawing since i was a kid decades ago yet i never really liked sitting there doing it for long at all. It's more of an obsession to see what i can complete and have as a final thing, final piece of art. I know that those who have the patience and actually enjoy the minute by minute, second by second process are often the ones who do well if they have creativity and talent. Hell i still do art for a living and the process drives me nuts 85% of the time. Results however can make it feel good when it's complete and after i clean up

    • @shealee3198
      @shealee3198 4 роки тому +1

      I don't think artists enjoy the minute to minute either. I think that's what being an artist is. Looking at your own work and thinking it's shit until you finish the last 10%.

    It seems the earlier you practice the right techniques from the ground up the easier it will be not to feel constrained by former practices. Having done things the wrong way, I can say it is really frustrating to undo your ways and force yourself to start over, but it’s probably what alot of us need to do.

I'm wondering if the brushes on brush pens need to be cleaned after use like actual paint brushes or is it good with the cap on? I see Karl seems to already have the pen good to go when he uncapped it and he just capped it again afterwards unless he cleaned it later on.

    so basically the "Quick Tip" is: understand shapes, know head and facial features from all angles, get lighting in a way to can visualize it with your eyes closed from any angle on any 3 diminutional angle, train your week hand to draw in a good enough way, have a huge visual bank for faces...and yea.. use a good paper that handles ok with water :)))
    all jokes aside, love Karl's work he is an amazing artists. Any show case of him drawing and talking is pure gold for me..
