Hi Reeda. Good to see the ground squirrels climbing all over your legs in search for the nuts. I just returned from travelling to visits some relatives and received your package. Thank you very much for thinking of me. As simple as it may seem, I do really appreciate the calendar with the squirrel. It is special and once the year is completed, I plan to keep the squirrel picture. I hope everything is going well and that you have a wonderful summer. Please let me know if you have any ideas for something I can make for you and the squirrels. It makes me feel good to do that 🐿
Welcome Back! & Thank you for the note, the original plan was to use a cardboard easel (found but damaged) w/ a 3-year color calendar. I like the message. Thank safe. Think "Squirrel". Here today, here tomorrow. Squirrel box is meant for backyard, not for 12+ hours travel, sandwiched btn 10-15 lbs of stuff in bag on foot. So thank you very much for the thought but no thanks for now. Stamps are to partially cover the Squirrel treat you generously sent last year. (Those jobs are discontinued since March). Starting June, I'll visit the site on Wed & Sat using free public wifi due to cell phone data cut to only 6GB per month. One local grocery often runs $2.99 sale on walnut halves. I spend barely $10 on myself for food/misc per month but I bought 10 lbs {=13 visits} and they need to last til mid-July so it means 2X weekly park visits instead of 3X. I strongly feel that bonding with wildlife in nature is purposeful & these connections with Squirrels are precious and trust that it continues to be fully supported someway, somehow both physically and financially. :)
