    The first time I heard them I didn't give them a chance. It was about six months ago. I despise myself for that. This is now really close to becoming my favorite band. This is my first time listening to them since that horrid day.

    I wish I was a musician. Finally checked this band out after browsing earthless, kyuss, electric wizard, sleep, the gates of slumber. You really can't go wrong in doom. There is great stuff out there.

    These guys are amazing. Melodic Doom that is played tightly. I love metal, but it's a rare thing these days to witness any metal band with melodic vox and with a vocalist that can actually sing well. Pallbearer is easily my new favorite.

    Good video.
    I have a handful of pallbearer from Deathfest this summer. Vox are a little more pronounced in mine but bass intensity is dimmer. Check em out. There is even one untitled song.
    oh....and they are absolutely one of my favourites now.

    I recorded them when they came to SF (see my channel). Not sure why the vocals always sound so quiet. My guess is during the sound check, they don't compensate for the crushing power of the musi, and it drowns out the vocals when it all comes together.

    They sound utterly perfect...until the part which on the album where there's multitracked vocals. One or more of the bandmates need to step it up and do the backup vox live :) love these doomy dudes.

    Vocals are MUCH stronger on the record. Also, not sure what's going on with the recording, but I keep hearing random "sour" (guitar) notes peppered throughout this performance. Not a great video.

    I can really tell hes into the music...and to be honest, when youre at a show and listen to the vocals, its almost always impossible to hear the mistakes because the enchantment of the whole performance is completely engrossing, so not a big deal in my view.

    Campbell moves a lot as he sings, so the mic doesent capture his voice as it should, he must learn to stay still on the mic in the singing parts, I know its difficult cause he said that it was never his plan to sing, he just wanted to be a guitar player, his voice is great so he just have to learn the drill onstage

  • @powerslave118

    The funny part is. EVERY gig is the same. I don't know why bands can never get the sound at least in the ballpark. There is always some overpowering instrument. Adjust it after the first song, how hard is it?

  • @haveaband

    • @TheFamousMockingbird
      @TheFamousMockingbird 7 років тому

      haveaband same guy, his vocals have improved a huge amount. look up their show in Little Rock from this March. he has put a lot of work into improving his vocals. he cant get it 100% like it is on the album because of post production, but it was as close as I've ever heard it and ive been seeing them for 5 years now

    • @haveaband
      @haveaband 7 років тому +1

      I know, saw them in 2015 and they broke my heart, one of my fave bands defo, it's just he's struggling in that video, but i love them all the same!

    • @TheFamousMockingbird
      @TheFamousMockingbird 7 років тому +3

      haveaband yeah he was extremely spotty and inconsistent early on. he has now harnessed the power of the mullet, the show two weeks ago was the best ive seen by them so far. i want to see them play ashes.

    really good song, but they should fix their sound, sounds like teenagers in a garage.
