I bought one around 98. The store had a CS1X and an An1x side by side. I knew little at the time, and I played with both, liked the sounds on both and decided on the CS1x when the guy explained " this AN can do one sound at once, and this CS can 16 sounds at once (multitimbral) I was instantly sold on 16 parts at once 😄. I had no idea how much more of an actual synth the AN1X was. Still fair deuce. CS1x was fun and productive for a few years. Got an AN1x after I sold the CS.
16 part murtitimbral was availab!e only in xg mode. When using performance sounds, it was possibke to use only one channel for performance sound and next from 5 to 16 were xg. 2, 3, 4 i belive were not availwble. Only what you could is ability to choose any channel for performance sound. If your choice was for example ch 16 - you lost one channel for xg. In reality 1-4 were avai?able to choose for performance sound (user etc). In most cases everything above 4 octave was sounding the same. Probably because of poor circuitry they designed. But... I recorded xo many songs on it😜
There are assignable knobs. I belive 2 of them. So maybe you could assign there pitch control for example 2 semitones, pitch bend wheel 10. So you could control +/-2, +/-10, and maybe total +/-12. Need to try.

Great demo, well done!
hahaha that was amazing. Love it. Bought the synth myself.
Vangelis China 😉
Is it possible to change the pitchband range? I need +2 up and -12 down
The range change equal at both sides
@@dr_midi_alejandro what a bad thing you said to me :(
