It’s not any of your faults but it’s wrong for us to use a cross as a religious symbol imagine going through that and people make films about it. When I was a kid I used to just constantly look at the nails and the blood it was the main reason I would think about him until I grew up and realised. I agree with what you say, but may I make a point? When the Bible was written punctuation was not used. When the Bible was translated people still had the catholic belief that at death you went straight to either heaven or hell so the comma was placed in Luke 23:43 as, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise. But you will see from John 20:17 several days later that Jesus had not gone to heaven. Jesus said to Mary, Touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my Father. Now we know that Jesus would not be mistaken, or go back on His word, so the translation must be mistaken. What Jesus really said in Luke 23:43 was "Verily I say unto you today, you shall be with me in paradise." Just a very subtle difference but it removes the confusion where in Revelation it says that we sleep in our graves until the return of Jesus and the resurrection where we rise up to meet Jesus in the air. Revelation 20:6. And 1 Thessalonians 4:16/17.

When Mary saw Jesus on the second day after his death he told her "touch me not for I have not yet ascended to my Father" he was still a spirit and that is how we know for certain that paradise is not heaven. Heaven is where his Father dwells.

As a sinless man at 30 yrs old he told all the people to stop worshipping false Gods or following false laws but to turn back to Holy God (YHWY) whilst some believed him the Jewish religious leaders plotted to get rid of him and he was falsely accused of blasphemy and sentenced to death by crucifixion by the Romans who ruled at that time. This was all in Gods plan to give us the ultimate sacrifice of his son Jesus once and for all time. By Jesus taking on the sin of all mankind, shedding of blood and dying on the cross, burial and rising from the dead after three days he is able to take away your sin and wash you clean by his blood that was shed for you. If we do not repent and turn from our sin and accept Jesus when we die, then we will have our place in the lake of fire separated for all eternity from Holy God with all the other sinners who refused salvation. All we have to do is repent or turn away from our sins and accept Jesus as the Lord and saviour of our life. If we do this with a sincere heart Jesus is able to wash away our sins and transgressions and make us a child of God. It’s not any of your faults but it’s wrong for us to use a cross as a religious symbol imagine going through that and people make films about it. When the Bible was translated people still had the catholic belief that at death you went straight to either heaven or hell so the comma was placed in Luke 23:43 as, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise. But you will see from John 20:17 several days later that Jesus had not gone to heaven. Jesus said to Mary, Touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my Father. Now we know that Jesus would not be mistaken, or go back on His word, so the translation must be mistaken. What Jesus really said in Luke 23:43 was "Verily I say unto you today, you shall be with me in paradise." Just a very subtle difference but it removes the confusion where in Revelation it says that we sleep in our graves until the return of Jesus and the resurrection where we rise up to meet Jesus in the air. Revelation 20:6. And 1 Thessalonians 4:16/17.

Some people say all religions lead to God and that is true in one respect. There is only one true God, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, the creator of Heaven and Earth and all that is in it. When we die we will all stand in judgement before him.
But God is Holy and righteous and just and can not tolerate any sin which includes all of his laws of the 10 Commandments he gave to Moses.
We have all broken his 10 commandments to some degree even in the smallest things. We are all guilty of breaking his laws and are not worthy to come into his presence.
In ancient times a sacrifice was required to atone for peoples sin and an animal was slaughtered and it’s blood poured out as a sin offering.
During those ancient times God also had Prophets to urge the people not to worship false Gods of wood, stone, Gold or Silver but to turn away from their wickedness and seek and worship Holy God but they were ignored or killed.
2000 yrs ago God gave us his ultimate sacrifice in the form of Jesus who was sent to earth to be born of a virgin called Mary. As a sinless man at 30 yrs old he told all the people to stop worshipping false Gods or following false laws but to turn back to Holy God (YHWY) whilst some believed him the Jewish religious leaders plotted to get rid of him and he was falsely accused of blasphemy and sentenced to death by crucifixion by the Romans who ruled at that time.
This was all in Gods plan to give us the ultimate sacrifice of his son Jesus once and for all time. By Jesus taking on the sin of all mankind, shedding of blood and dying on the cross, burial and rising from the dead after three days he is able to take away your sin and wash you clean by his blood that was shed for you. He became the ultimate blood sacrifice for all who put their hope and trust in him.
If we do make him Lord of our life he is our advocate, just like a lawyer who represents a defendant before a judge, Jesus becomes the bridge for us to come into Heaven and stand holy and righteous before Holy God.
If we do not repent and turn from our sin and accept Jesus when we die, then we will have our place in the lake of fire separated for all eternity from Holy God with all the other sinners who refused salvation.
All we have to do is repent or turn away from our sins and accept Jesus as the Lord and saviour of our life. If we do this with a sincere heart Jesus is able to wash away our sins and transgressions and make us a child of God. We all need to come before Jesus daily to ask forgiveness for our sins as we all sin through our thoughts, words or deeds.
Friend I do hope you will take this step of faith and be assured your eternal destiny is in Heaven with Jesus.

So, feeling like a loser, I asked what HE was going to do, and HIS reply was, "My yoke is easy and my burden is light." I WAS FORGIVEN! At that moment, all the teaching I heard about my qualification for his approval, fell off my back like a load of bricks and I stopped being careful at that moment!
