I remember reading in CCM magazine that this was originally supposed to be a collaboration between Passafist and their former Chagall Guevara bandmate, Steve Taylor. I wonder why they wound up collaborating with Kevin instead. That same article said that Newsboys, who Steve was producing at the time, were supposed to do a track on the album, but of course, that didn’t wind up happening.
I am a fan of Petra. I was a fan of Kevin Max back in the day. I do in fact love this song because it's style is my style. But I have one question. What the nugget is this? 🤔
It’s the oddball track on the Petra tribute album that came out back in 1996. Whereas all the other tracks were covers of Petra songs, this was an original made using samples of Louie Weaver’s drum solo from Petra’s 1986 live album, Captured in Time and Space. I have no idea what the lyrics are supposed to mean, though.
This song has been stuck in my head on and off for decades but no one knows it!!!!
Louie is amazing. Have always loved hanging out with him when they came around. Its only been a couple months, but he hasn't changed.
@@kennysteele3585 that’s awesome to hear 👍🏼
This song never gets enough praise.

and it's a sample from Petra's "Captured in Time and Space" live album.
Thank you!
Thats john from the live album his solo became famous for.
@@kennysteele3585That’s actually Greg. That album was recorded during their last tour with him as the lead vocalist.
@@crescentfreshbretI didn't mean the voice on here, sorry. I meant the version he used for his "Back to the basics" instructional video.
This song is bizarre but cool.
@holdfast79 it would make a good entrance theme song or a video game boss music.
J-Hutt say "5*s If you say BO SHUDA FOR MY NIGGAS!" (raises medalion in fist)
I lost this album and really wish it was available for Download somewhere
