Did anyone else have this as a childhood song? My grandmother used to sing the “worms crawl in the worm crawls out” ( not in a creepy way but like a fun way) then playfully poke my stomach. I thought she just made it up or something. I never knew it was an ACTUAL song
I am the question you ask yourself everyday I believe this is why they started having “graveyard shifts” There were safety coffins in this case where if the person was buried alive their was a bell up next to the headstone that was connected to a string tied to the person in question to ring if they woke up. The “graveyard shift” was the shift someone took was the graveyard at night to listen for the bells to ring
Matt This, I knew about, But it might be untrue, Due To There not being enough evidence, as when I look at graves in my closest graveyard, the old ones, (like from 1801-1888) don’t have bells in them, but they just might not be old enough. ‘v’
@@humanbean8590 True and there are such things as soul reapers - if you believe in it. After seeing a few in my local cemetery collecting souls that get trapped, some things my mind can't come up for a logical explanation, I chalk it up to the things that us living won't understand - and reapers in general exist because I saw one. Came into my apartment, my cat was sitting on my chest and through her eyes I saw a reaper. It came right through the door. Two seconds later I heard a thud. My neighbor above my room had a massive heart attack and was found the next day. It happened right as I saw the reaper because a second after, I heard my neighbor fall after having the heart attack. I tell people but they just think I'm craz, but it's that exact reason why I am getting cremated.

Also, the video was edited to have certain parts of the song (and not the full song) because this was made for school assignment where I have to make a video about one minute long. Thank you for watching and thanks for all the kind comment. I'm really happy you guys like it. 😊
@@KryptoKn8 I know. I grew up with this song, learned it in the book series "Scary stories to tell in the dark" then not long after found Rusty Cage sang it.
The thought of being buried alive is one of my greatest fears... I guess they're testing to see if this poor woman in the animatic is a witch or not. Honestly, I genuinely would rather be drowned or burned, and both of those options sound absolutely fucking horrendous as well but they're over quickly. Depending on how long it takes for you to suffocate in the coffin, it could take days.
Woman in the video: *Gets buried alive* Me: What if people with claustrophobia were buried alive in their past life and that’s why they’re scared of small spaces? Lol when I was little I loved this song and I used to sit on my bed a sing this and my mom thought something was wrong so she still calls me the graveyard child
Anytime a hearse drove by me my mom would grab me like the devil grabs a sinner and stare at me in the eyes and sing this song with the most morbid voice ever I was so traumatized as a child

If you were roleplaying, you would be out of character.
You Know In Dark Ages When Someone Was Asleep For A While (Like A Coma ETC) They Buried Them Alive. This Is Like It But They KNEW She Was Alive..

Probably witch trials, you could point a finger at someone saying they were a witch and they would be killed
They put a bell and attached a string to your finger and if you woke up form it, you’d ring the bell and they would then they would dig you out
That's the dark part.
Matt This, I knew about, But it might be untrue, Due To There not being enough evidence, as when I look at graves in my closest graveyard, the old ones, (like from 1801-1888) don’t have bells in them, but they just might not be old enough. ‘v’
This is dark.
Especially since they KNEW she was ALIVE
It could also be the belief that the soul is still in there so that's what the soul is going through and unable to do anything.

It all goes well for about a week
And then your coffin begins to leak
And the worms crawl in, the worms crawl out
The worms play pinochle on your snout
They eat your eyes, they eat your nose
As you begin to decompose
A slimy beetle with demon's eyes
Chews through your stomach and out your sides
Your stomach turns to rancid grease
And puss pours out like melted cheese
You spread it on a slice of bread
And that's what you'll eat when you're dead
And the worms crawl out, the worms crawl in
The ones that crawl in are lean and thin
The ones that crawl out are fat and stout
Your eyes fall in and your hair falls out
Your brain turns into maggot pie
Your liver starts to liquify
And for the living, all is well
As you sink further into hell
And the flames rise up to drag you down
Into the fire where you will drown
Your skin melts off as you descend
And Satan tears you limb from limb
Your suffering will never end
And the worms crawl in, the worms crawl out
They'll eat your guts and then shit them out
And when your bones begin to rot
The worms remain, but you do not
So don't ever laugh as a hearse goes by
For someday, you'll be the one to die
And when Death brings his cold despair
