What I've always loved about this game is that you can precook a lot of your 5 star soup, serve it for 3 days straight and they still love it 😂
Exactly. I'm working on a "speed-run" style of cooking in the game and you can precook a lot of other stuff if you can heat it up just right in the microwave lol
My mom is an actual chef and i bought her this game as a gift and she loves it. She said 'its fun to play without the actual stress of a commercial kitchen' even now im addicted to it lol

I'm curious, can you serve people the cooking timers? I've always wanted to try it.
Very nice. I started using the cutter after watching this :) You can do the fish seasoning after you put it on the bake tray, so you don't do the seasoning on the table, and you can skip the horseradish is no need. Also you can do seasoning on the pan or the grill.

Very nice. We’re both kinda on the same level but my kitchen setup and methodology is way different so it’s cool to see how you make dishes on time. I’ve never watched your whole vid but I come back to it often. It’s cathartic considering what I’m about to dump in the rest of the comment lol
It’s just a sad story not interesting I just need to vent.
When I first started playing I changed it to relaxed mode a few days in because the dish timers were glitching. So I just imagined it was timed and made every dish as fast as possible. Eventually I wanted to switch relaxed mode off again, but another glitch stopped me from even trying. It wouldn’t allow me to turn off relaxed mode. No matter how many days passed. At that point I was really good, I just wanted to play normal career with all the recipes and upgrades unlocked, with the kitchen I’d set up. But it wasn’t possible.
So, I sucked it up and started a new save file, planning to never put it on relaxed mode in case the glitch took it hostage again. I justified it because I’d not chosen optimal perks for the endgame on my first save. But again, I had to abandon this second save because I chose two new perks that were worse than useless. Managers Trust (utterly broken) and Slow Motion (it slows down everything’s process while cutting EXCEPT for KITCHEN TIMERS which continue to count down at a normal speed, so if you cut while something’s cooking its timer will go off way before it’s done, rendering them basically useless). These were the last two perks I got and the Slow Motion perk officially broke the save file so I just deleted it.
For the final time, I started a new career. Had all the good and WORKING perks picked out beforehand, no turning on relaxed mode or custom menu since those tend to break saves, just gonna get the restaurant to 5 stars and keep cooking so I can buy and upgrade every recipe and cook to my hearts content for as many days as I wanted. Don’t care about the 5 star goal. I’m making some dish, it’s gonna push me over. I send it out. 5 star restaurant. The trophy drops on the floor… and the screen goes black. I can’t do anything. Whatever, I close CS and restart it. Open my save file. Every HUD element is broken, I cannot move my body but not camera, and everything is frozen in time. Well that sucks. I’ll just go back to my backup save from a few days before. But again, when I hit 5 stars it breaks my save.
I really love CS and want to keep playing. I am familiar with how to avoid most glitches and whatnot, but the trauma of having my save files get soft locked, broken by a glitched perk that can’t be changed, and automatically corrupted when I “beat” the game makes me just want to let it go. Really sucks considering it’s the best ‘pass time’ game for me
Omg I've never had any of those glitches. Usually, I just have to exit and re-join the game to fix any of the little glitches I get.

I used to play this on Xbox and I don’t think I’ve ever cut a potato right. Making me want to play again but I’m taking a lot of tips from you like keeping the lemon in a paella pan that’s genius!

The fingerlings, in my kitchen, we'd cut them into thirds or quarters on the bias, like elongated medallions.
And then roast them a little afterwards for color and more texture.

Uhm I think they do that automatically. I just pick up the pan and click on the burner.

It's the PC version 🤷♀️ to be honest I get a few glitches but nothing I don't know how to work around. Sometimes I have to save and reload the game

Vnice you make it easy. But I try to cut lemon never be that always be small 5/9/10 I try alot. And the microwave I can't put any plate in it but when I play the modern style it work there IDK where the wrong
You can unlock a perk to "freeze" the lemon in place while you cut it. It's very useful.
It seems this game is still buggy, after so many years, no matter how clear the movement you made.
Just feel right of the decision I made to not buy this game. (though I love to cook in real)
