As a long time DJ, I agree. A lot of these current "dj's" would be out of work. The systems and set ups have strangled creativity. Sometimes technology can backfire.
Such nostalgia...getting ready to go out in my bedroom, 12” vinyl blasting, dancing my ass off...plastering myself in Poison perfume, making sure my hair defied gravity before I left....those were the days!!!!
Memories of college....man! The floor would stay PACKED! And on the long version, (RIP) Brotha Grover Wasington was "wailing" on that sax! Dude could blow!
I was a kid age 11 when they came out, I loved dance myself and I liked a family group music scene of the 80's ...5 Star showed up musicly in the perfect time...the music produced for them was exceptional. Nice bass runnin' through L.M.B.T.One song here. I make music/beats still and some say I made this music but I say not. people compare me to the guys 5 Star, but we aint related. I meet them while I worked at the Motown building in music age 16. They knew of me so they hug all over me and we kept in touch by phone and in person , me and they dad Buster and Denise talked over the phone for hours ...all talk about music and life in it. I don't work in music for a long time now. LOL, I wanted as a child age 5 to be in a music group but I had not enough brothers or sisters (sigh). Even later they born but not into music like me. Music then was cool, some family or solo groups are needed. Rap is cool but old fashion music groups are still a must. Bye NICE NESS
Never forget playing this in Dallas at a stop light in my old 97 Chevy impala at a stop light and a black female cop rolled right next to me. I got scared cause i was loud as hell. But I remember I looked over and she gave the thumps up!!! HAHA fun times.

"Let Me Be The One." I love playing this song for my younger lady friends and they love it too. This classic RnB song will always get you attention from the ladies, fact .🎶💋😀👌
This was some cool funky groove from Britain . The group loved MJ and looked like they could've been his more than his so called real kids . The 80's were hot but the 70's were hotter . One decade sets up the next . I appreciate the Brits loving our groups here , that we take for granted . Music these days is a whole lot of crap .
+Andre Rougeau I think it depends what era you were born in. I was born in the 70's but I think the 80's were better than the 70's. 90's music was also nice but not as good as the 80's. What I liked about the 80's is that's the time when they started to use drum computers, synthesizers in music etc. It created a new sound. In the 70's music was recorded with real instruments (except maybe from the disco in te late 70's). The only thing I liked about the 70's was the whole disco thing. but apart from that 70's music was (at least in my opinion) crap.
