- All My Children, 1995, Maria refuses to attend Edmund's funeral, and it is Brooke, who convinces her that she must say good-bye. As the funeral starts, Edmund arrives to ask Aunt Phoebe who is being laid to rest. The room erupts as everyone realizes that it is Calloway in the casket. Brooke and Liz make peace, Julia Barr, Brooke English, Kimberly Foster, Liz Sloan, Anne Meara, Peg Moody, John Callahan, Edmund Grey, Eva La Rue, Maria Santos, Keith Hamilton, Noah Keifer, Sydney Penny, Julia Santos, Michael E. This is even better to watch after finally seeing how people thought he died. I could never remember this funeral or how he died. I loved the part where Pheobe screamed when she saw Edmund LMAO.
I LOVE how freaked out everyone was when they saw him.
Also RIP John Callahan... 25 yrs after this aired :(
I was so young when this aired, yet I remember it like it was yesterday. I MISS THIS SHOW
Something I've noticed as I've watched more AMC, theres one person besides Edmund who has been there for Maria. Brooke. She is always there to help her!
Here are just a few examples.
Brooke helps Maria deal with Erica. "When you see a freight train coming, get off the track." (That line still makes me laugh)
Brooke is there for Maria when Edmunds car explodes.
Brooke is the only one who can convince Maria to go to Edmund's funeral.
Brooke is there for Maria and Edmumd when struggling with adoption.
Brooke is there for Maria after Erica snatches baby Maddie.
When Maria goes over that edge on the plane, Brooke is the one who tries to save her and saves Maddie.
Brooke is the first to learn that Maria has her memory back.
Brooke is there for Maria after Edmund dies.
Michael Nader was cast opposite two beautiful, strong will career women: Alexis Carrington and Erica Kane. No wonder. He was a handsome, romantic, successful man.
God, I HATED how Maria had to be all dramatic and faint. Well, it was BROOKE who had felt that Edmund's spirit had not actually left the earth. She and Edmund had that connection.
tammyramey I understand they had a connection but I agree. Maria is his wife.
It would be a huge shock to see if your husband who you assumed was dead suddenly turned out to be alive. I know I would probably faint myself.
Something I noticed just before Maria faints you can see Dimitri moving the chair back ever so slightly.
@@Buzzbar94 I know Maria was his (cheating) wife. But it was Brooke who had the deeper connection to him. Brooke and Edmund may not have ended up together, but they had a bond until the day he died. I think my original point had todo with Maria's melodrama. It's sad to talk about this now, since John Callahan really did pass away last year :(
@@tammyrameyyou know what I find REALLY funny? Is in every single one of your comments you keep calling Maria a cheater. That she’s “his cheating wife” in these little snarky ways. I know you don’t like her but here’s my question: who did she cheat on him with? Don’t u dare say Zach because she had amnesia and didn’t even know Edmund existed and you can blame DAVID HAYWARD for that! He knew and said nothing. But in 1996 or 1997 who did she cheat on Edmund with ONE TIME? It’s one person I’ve never heard you say anything negative about? His own damn brother Dimitri! It’s such a double standard for you to put all the blame on her and her alone.
Let’s not forget in 2005 it was revealed Edmund lied to EVERYONE including Saint Brooke that he could walk. And speaking of Saint Brooke who was it that knew Maria was alive and lied to Edmund about it? Even went ahead and married him? Edmund and Brooke had their chance and she blew it! Both times! GET OVER IT!

Basically, regarding Brooke, this is a predominantly Brooke loving page, so you will see a lot of Brooke love. To think you haven't seen posts of me berating Dimitri for his part of cheating makes me think you're seeking me out...and that's weird. It's BOTH of their faults. Also, when Maria got her amnesia over with, she still wanted Zach and you know it. She was so hot for him. She even admitted she loved him. Finally, your posts are getting weird. It's like you're seeking me out to berate me. It's almost harassment. I am allowed to express my feelings. Stop being a stalker werdo over a SOAP! I'm going to have to report you if you don't LEAVE ME ALONE!
