The modern hitman games really are a miracle when you think about everything behind the scenes At one point square enix wanted to sell the studio and were getting offers of one dollar
Yea tho the “one dollar” offer just means in corporate terms that they will offer one dollar because paying for the studio’s upkeep would require a sizeable debt/loss until it starts to profit i believe so the one dollar amount is to offset that. They wouldnt literally be paying a dollar for it, Square would keep a minority stake in it and the studio that would buy it would pour money in afterwards. Still sucks tho because they had to take on that debt themselves to go independent as one of the few remaining AA western studios i know of. If square had just kept up with the trilogy i wonder how much different itd be but they did get a good lottery ticket when the games became successful
@@LOL-zu1zr Hitman devs knew what they were doing. With WOA , they straight up created a game unlike no other, the only one existing in the stealth generally.

"If there's one thing I do, it's try to complete all the optional objectives in this," said Oboe, completely ignoring the warning that he hadn't picked a prestige objective.
During a showdown the digital camera tells you all the suspect clues, so you don't need to keep checking the menu. When you snap a picture of a suspect it pauses the game on that snapshot, giving you a much easier time checking people for earrings, necklaces, tattoos, etc. Somehow waving a camera in a syndicate member's face and getting a mugshot of them does not make anyone suspicious. The camera is also what you use to open the doors in the ICA facility in the China level (the dongles let the camera hack higher security doors). It's not based on outfit worn like the Hokkaido level.
I didn't want to just comment "first" like I see all the time... and I do dig the cowboy hat. I do not look good in one, but Agent 47 definitely pulls off the look...
Freelancer solves all the weaknesses about Hitman fundamental design. I wasn't expecting those issues to be tackled, and certainly not in this way. But here I am, having fun without getting Silent Assassin.
I failed the freelancer campaign because there was a bug in Japan. Down in the basement where they work on the corpses, a suspect was standing. I threw a knife in her head but she did not die. She started screaming while standing there, causing the whole campaign to fail. Yeah freelancer is good but it can also be insanely frustrating for stupid reasons. I have also lost snipers in briefcases because I threw them behind something, like a chair or car that I could not pass.
Agent 47 would probably have all the upgrades for that hideout, iirc the money he spends from his contracts typically goes to fancy suits, fine dining, and the church, so him living in a decked out fancy house would be his thing.

Damn, Halloween hitman scenario with getting candy by showing at the door in different costumes seems great. I don't really like escalations, but this one writes itself, shame that devs didn't do it back when game was getting proper updates
the storm on the maldives island happens when all targets are killed i believe so since the main targets arent avaliable on freelancer the storm auto occurs

Shit is extremely flawed I’m ngl, when this mode first came out I would undoubtedly be fucked over by the most extreme bs at the end of my contracts after spending 2 hours on each of them and just deleted the whole thing off of my pc, been playing hitman all my life, I can accept when I screw up, but killing someone in a bush, unseen, walking out of said bush in a non restricted area, and immediately being spotted, was what drove me over the edge. Wouldn’t call it the best rogue like at all.

It's also a miracle considering it's not actually Square Enix doing the fuckery but IO themselves.

Freelancer is incredible. Roguelike works so well for the new Hitman format
I really hope they make another Hitman game where freelance is the focus, maps design specifically for freelancer.
Yes I will watch 2hrs of oboe playing rogue like hitman thanks
Oboes curse allows him to play a good game every 10 ten years, brigadoon style.

I was hitman last Halloween. I did a QR code on my head after shaving it. It actually scanned and would take you to a Rickroll site.
Bro hitman absolutely decorates his house. You never know when he needs to inpersonate an interior designer.
Can confirm. Am a U.S.A'ian am dressed as cowboy. Im also obese and only eat cheemborgers
Oboe forgetting about the camera mechanic in China but still completing the mission was pretty good
Yeah that camera really would have helped.
Yeah, not me screaming CAMERA at my screen for half an hour.

"like how many times are they going to have this party?" The French monarchy would like to have a word
Hitman loves weezer
As a new Yorker I can confirm, we do be employing hitmen more than anyone else
Whittleton is one of my all time favorites
Can you remake this video into 30 sec clips with family guy moments? My brain can't handle past one minute of info.

You might get me into this series…
Man I was hoping you’d revisit Hitman since Freelancer came out
I was playing the ark society mission when this came out lmao. Great timing
Turn the DLSS on. It should fix your graphics issues. Took me forever to figure that out myself 😅
It’s fun for me to an extent, but I don’t like rouge likes at all so that kills it for me, it suits the game tho
Conduit
its interesting that they let you play new york without owning the DLC for it
Oboe if he weren't a youtuber
BTW, why in the hell don't you choose a prestige objective for your missions? That's more money that you're just leaving on the table.
Fyi in freelancer you dont get points deducted for killing guards.

It works well, but I feel like it takes too long, an average run in a game like RoR2 takes around a hour if you manage to reach the end.
Have u played Splinter Cell the first one on Xbox
39:41 i have that game
Oboe was that a "My Name is Jonas" Weezer reference at 1:05:17??
You from colorado?
Um.. if. If you "just started" how do you have 30 thousand mercs when you just get maybe 2 to 3 k for a mission?
What is oboes gpu that it can't get 60 fps on hitman at medium settings?
Integrated graphics on a 90s PC
You dont like berlin but like china? Damn
Oboe is paid personally by Xi Jingping.
This is painful to watch if you know this game and its mechanics or have any map knowledge at all.

Hello
Roguelike has lost all meaning.
It's definetly not a roguelike, but it borrows some elements from the genre

I just alt f4 every time i mess up so i can re do the mission
the repetition and grind...just to have two options to change your rooms and decorum....cool idea but implemented poorly...
How is it repetutive? You dont have to play the same map over and over
You talk too much 🙄🤚🏼
